Wow, I'm also shocked as to why these excellent boots have gotten 2 (so far) negative reviews! I just don't see what they're referring to. Maybe they received defective merchandise?! I'd suggest you try another pair, they're so worth it! All of that being said...I am a 40+ year-old woman who wears (gasp) a size 12M shoe, and who is not accustomed to finding stylish, affordable, and unique shoes in my size! I am tickled pink that they (the Charcoal color) actually fit my lager than average feet, especially since I read other reviews on other websites stating that they ran a full size small, so you'd need to size up. I thought that I'd risk it, because I really loved their uniqueness, and was desperate for them to fit, so I ignored the sizing warnings, and ordered them anyway. Thank goodness I did, because they fit perfectly. Not at all snug, short, or uncomfortable in any way. I love 'em so much that I'm ordering the Tusk as well. These boots are gorgeous...get 'em while you still can. These boots do not run small. They perfectly fit my size 12M's!

Really wanted to love these boots but besides the fact they ran a full size small the shaft is not 16 inches in height (more like 14) and there is no structure or support so the boot is very floppy and doesn't stay up - interesting design with poor execution.

I am in love with these shoes. I bought them as an alternative to welly-style rain boots and I couldn't be happier. The bottom rubber part is waterproof and the leather is water resistant (I called Sorel and asked). They also said additional water proofing treatment is not necessary. These definitely need to be ordered a half size up. I wear a 7.5 and the 8 fit perfectly. These shoes are also very comfortable and warm, just a little loose in the foot area, but my feet are really narrow and this is a common problem. Wore them all over in the pouring rain today and my feet weren't all gross and hot and sweaty like regular rubber rain boots either. Bring on fall and winter!

I agree with Stephanie, the last reviewer! There's nothing negative about these boots! I love them! Very well made, very comfortable, and I still can't believe they're waterproof leather! One reviewer below said they were not leather, that's not true as the entire shaft of the boot is leather, very thick heavy duty leather. I have worn them out in the rain with my skinny jeans and got so many compliments on them! I'm 5 4" and they hit right below my knee. I normally wear a 6 1/2 but I ordered the 6 to try first. They were a bit snug but I decided to keep them anyway thinking they might slip in the heel if they stretched a bit, as most of my leather boots do stretch. I've worn them 3 times and they fit perfect. I'm glad I ordered a half size down. These are great boots and I'm considering purchasing another color! If you're looking for an all weather stylish comfortable well made leather boot, well you found it! I'm very happy with my purchase!

These boots are nice, but they are definitely rain boots. The distressed leather top looks much nicer than the plastic rain boot toe. The toe area looks cheap in comparison. They looked a little more rugged in the photo. I found the boot small, so order a size larger especially if you want to wear winter socks. The boot was super lightweight which was a nice surprise.
