Wish they had them in my size! Love these boots. Could not find a women's boot this rugged and well designed, tried this man's boot, WOW. Great shape, supportive, warm, unfortunately a bit big and in a boot this chunky a little too big would not work. Wish I could find something this nice to wear all day long in the great outdoors.

I purchased these for a recent trip out to western Washington where I did some hiking/snowshoeing. I went on several hikes ranging from 1 mile to 5 miles. Temps were in the mid 20's to mid 30's. At times I was walking through snow 2' deep. No complaints. Feet were always warm and comfortable. I normally wear a size 14 but went down a size in response to reviews I read and fit was good. Traction on ice was not good but not sure what would be other than crampons.

Needed a pair of boots that will withstand Upstate NY winters, these Bears fit the bill. I wear 10.5 3E shoes, order the boots in 11 and they fit perfectly. We\'ll see how warm they are when the snow flies, but I expect no problems with Sorel. I would rather the insulated insert was permanently attached, as they come out still on your feet when you take them off, but that\'s because they\'re replaceable. All in all, a great pair of boots, and awesome service from Zappos.

I purchased these boots for my husband after a recent blizzard. My husband was so excited about these boots that he ran out, while it was still snowing, and shoveled feet upon feet from our drive, the sidewalks, our neighbors sidewalks. The insulated inner boot paired with the water- resistant outer boot kept his feet warm and dry and the height allowed him to walk in drifts around our house to fix the gutters. Great value for the price paid and we are sure they will last for years to come.

I was looking for a warm, tall, water-proof Winter boot and decided on the Sorel Bear. We've had a tremendously cold and snowy Winter here in Baltimore and I needed a boot to stand up to deep snow and cold temperatures. The Sorel Bear has exceeded my expectations for these purposes. The boots are extremely warm and super-comfortable. The sizing is very true also. I normally wear shoes in the 10 - 11 range and since these don't come in 1/2 sizes I went with a 10 and they fit perfectly. These are very beefy looking, but still pretty stylish for this type of boot. Highly recommended. As always, the purchase from Zappos was flawless.

These boots are perfect for the New England Winter. They keep my feet warm and dry; they look great, too. I had them for only two months, so don’t know whether they are durable. If your feet are not as wide as a bear’s, try half size smaller.

I can’t say enough good things about Zappos. I wish they sold everything. The Sorel Bear is perfect for this climate (Wisconsin). They are Sorel’s tallest men’s boot. They are not as heavy and clunky as some of the more expensive Sorels, so unless you really need protection from extreme cold, you could probably do without the "moon boots".

These boots were an awesome find. It's hard to find large sizes, but were thrilled to find these boots in a size 17. He usually takes anywhere between a size 17-19 and these fit great. We live in Cleveland where we get a ton of snow and they kept his feet warm and dry for hours.

I bought these for my fiance, who is from Phoenix and can barely stand Chicago weather. He loves them. They take a little getting use to at first since they are a bit bulky and formed but they are extremely warm and truly waterproof. He can't rave enough about them and has already recommended them to friends.

These boots are terrific. I've gotten plenty of use with them, given that we've received 20 inches of snow in the last couple of weeks. It's great, too, that you can order a replacement insert at some point in the future. Fit is true to size. As always, Zappos sets the standard of great performance that others try to match.

The Sorel Bear snow boots that I purchased are absolutely amazing. They are of the finest quality, comfortable, and indeed do keep you warm and dry. I have ordered a number of items from Zappos and have always been 100% satisfied. For me and my family there is no other way of buying shoes and boots then from Zappos. Their service, if needed, has always been top-notch.

I purchased these boots for my 14 year old son. He's oversized for his age and finding footwear for him has become a challenge. His feet are size 14-4E in width, ordered a 15 to make some room for his extra wide feet. He says they fit perfectly and is very happy with them. Now we're just waiting for some snow to really try them out.

Brands I'd also recommend: New Balance makes running shoes for wider width feet.

Great winter boot - I was looking for a durable, warm pair of winter boots that I could use for clearing the snow during the winter. These boots have it all. They are extremely comfortable and warm. The liners are removable, which can be handy. The laces are large and easy to tie, even with gloves on. Finally, the boots have good height, with a drawstring gaiter that keeps the snow out. Great quality, good fit, and a good value for what you get.
