These inserts are very good. I have Plantar Fasciitis and these inserts really help me. They give excellent arch support. Because I have such high arches I have not had to heat them to fit my foot. They are good for me out of the box. I can not comment on how they will fit you if you need to heat them. I have maybe 8 +/- pairs of this insert. I also have 4 or 5 pairs of the Softec Ultra insert. It's thicker and works well in heavy boots. All of the Sole inserts have lasted years with minimal degradation. Be sure that what you buy has a removable insert that can be replaced.

Personally, I can tell absolutely no difference in the feel of these insoles from before to after the heating process. I tried the process twice. I have fairly high arches but the arch of the insole feels too hard, too high and too far back toward the heel. Yes, I ordered correct size and made sure the length was right for the shoe. I have since tried two other brands of heat moldable insoles with much better results. Montrail's Enduro-Soles are good but are only comfortable for me in a well cushioned shoe like a running shoe. They do elevate the heel a bit so they may not work well in lower ankle cut styles. (works well in my Asics Gel Aztec). The other insole I've just started using is the Sofsole Brand, which actually look very similar to these Sole insoles. The heating and break-in process produces a better result in my opinion and they have a slightly softer, less rigid feel to them. The heel is not a elevated as the Montrails but the forefoot has slightly less lateral flex, which is better for my plantar-fasciitis symptoms. Not trying to steer anyone away from the Sole insoles but this is just my experience. Your results may certainly vary. Good luck.

I have purchased five pair to supplement my custom orthotics required by my bunion, stress fracture and hammer toes. I use them in my combat boots, everyday wear, and athletic footwear. I see no difference in quality or performance between these, and professionally fitted custom orthotics - at a fraction of the cost. I'd recommend these if you are prescribed orthotic inserts and have to pay out of pocket.

I first found these arch supports when I was in the army and they almost instantly relieved me of all my knee and lower back pain. Having flat feet I didn't put them in the oven to mold them I just wore them as they came and they work wonders for your feet.

I just finished hiking 2800 miles on 2 pairs of these insoles on the Continental Divide Trail. They're by far the best arch-support insoles I've tried.
