SIDI Reviews
I have mountain bike pedals on my road bike, so I was a bit limited for the shoes I could use. I am very happy to have found these SIDIs. They are very comfortable, have a nice rigid base, so I won't lose any power up my hills and they fit like a dream. I usually wear a size 7 in everything, these were marked 7.5/39.5. So the sizing is a bit strange, but they are great!
These shoes easily last 10 years. They are comfortable and perfect for quick on and off. Money well spent when you realize how long they last.
This is my second pair of SIDI Dominator 5 shoes. I use them both on my road bike and mountian bike with frogs. I love them. The last pair I lost after 3 years use and promptly got a new pair. BTW, Zappos shipping speed and customer service is amazing. Beware that the sizes run large. The mans 9 is at least a 9 1/2. I wear a 9 normally, but sized these at 8.25 (42).

I got these shoes after riding in a group of 8 guys and six of them were wearing these! After riding for over a year in cheaper all velcro shoes - these are so much better! Wow, they really lock my feet in there and allow me to precision adjust! These are great, I know they're pricey but you are getting what you pay for with these!
I have feet that are wide in the front but normal in the heel. These shoes are great for me (in wide) because they are wide enough in the front but the heel is snug enough not to slip. These also have a very comfortable upper, unlike some cycling shoes which seem to dig into various places on the top of my foot when tight. I gave them 4 stars for comfort only because the footbed is quite hard, and doesn't fit my foot perfectly. This is not a huge deal, because the insole is removable, so I will just replace it.
I ride a touring bike probably a couple hundred miles a week. I bought this new pair with the ratcheting (versus the cheaper 3-velcro strap version). I have high arches and I feel like SIDI misses here. I had to buy arch inserts, so now we are almost to a couple hundred dollars for a pair of cycling shoes... is it worth it?? Well, I have no numbness after 50 miles - I count this as positive. I DO feel like I achieve a good stride on the bike. I DO like the ratchet. I feel like it stabilizes my foot longer than with just Velcro. I can also get off the bike and walk around in these, so overall, I am happy.More on fit: I wear a 7.5 - in almost every shoe - an occasional 7. In European sizing I wear a 38 or 38.5. SIDIs sizing is way off. I could wear the 38.5, but a little on the snug size and then with the arch insert in place, I felt maxed out in the shoe - so I ended up with the 39s, which are a little big. Note, the web site calls their 39 a 7 - I just do not think this is true and have read this sizing problem on other sites that sell this shoes.
These are great cycling shoes. I got the max size so I could wear my insert. I like the upper strap being separate, so I can get the top tighter than the toes.
Fantastic shoes!! Very stiff, responsive, and super durable. The straps make for a customizable fit and are easily micro-adjusted while pedaling because of the ratchet buckle. The ratchet also allows you to really crank them tight on technical terrain when you want to make sure you can exit your pedals quickly! This is my second pair of these shoes...I only gave up the first pair because my feet have grown a half size. They thrived through 11 years of substantial use and were still going strong! These will last forever and are worth every penny.
Great spin shoes. I needed a pair that was compatible with a d clip, and there wasn't that many options. The bottom needed to be flat. Also I wanted something fairly comfortable. Well I accomplished both with these shoes plus they are the coolest looking by far...just a bonus.
Great shoe, and great fit from a great company - Zappos. Zappos had a great price and shipping is always beyond my expectations. Great customer service!
Great shoe! I normally wear 11EEE width and the shoe fit my foot perfectly. Perhaps a tad bit long but this didn't seem to be an issue. Something to do with the European size. First pair of cleats that I have owned. Did a 300+ mile road trip the second week of owning the shoes and they performed great. Dried quickly after a couple of summer thunderstorms. No cramping or forefoot problems.
I have rarely encountered such wonderful customer service as I did when I wanted to exchange a pair of biking shoes, Sidi, for a more correct pair of Dominator Sidi shoes. When I called and explained my dilemma, the rep was very receptive and promised delivery the next day, and put me on the VIP list for future orders. They arrived the next day, as promised, and they are now on my feet when I ride.
Great shoe. A touch narrow, but be aware that this shoe will stretch. Solid pedaling platform, easy to adjust without unclipping. May want to get a footbed if you're planning on doing brevets, ultra marathons, etc.
This shoe is comfortable and very easy to get in and out of (with or without socks). The flashy faux snakeskin takes a little to get used to but if you go fast enough, no one will notice. The only minor complaint is the two openings in the tounge. They don't add much to the overall cooling of the foot and in fact make it hotter with the sun beating on the tender top of the foot. Overall, you can't beat Sidi!
I bought these a couple weeks ago because of so many recommendations from friends and family. They were right. These are great cycling shoes and definitely worth the price. My husband has a pair that has lasted for years. Very comfortable cycling shoe; very adjustable. Highly recommend. I did order about a 1/2 size up.

Finally no more hot spots. A wider toe box but snug in the heel just what I always wanted! I love the heel plate that allows you to pedal unclipped without slipping for a short time after stopping for a light, etc. Will definitely buy these again.
These are great shoes, on my third pair. I was borderline wide, but stepped up from a 46 to a 46.5 medium and do fine. Also pays to experiment with insoles. These do tend to stretch after hundreds of miles and rainy rides; however, adjustment can be taken care of with the straps.
Shoe runs smaller and narrower than indicated. I like that it is narrower because I need that. Had to go up a 1/2-size. Otherwise, it is a light and great fitting shoe.
These shoes changed my life. The fit of these things are amazing. Even though they're cycling shoes they're the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. If the soles weren't so stiff and slick I'd wear them everywhere. They're true to fit and feel great.I live car-free and commute everywhere by bicycle, so I spend a lot of time in cycling shoes. The added comfort I get from these shoes coming from the cheap pair I'd been using for a past few years easily justifies the cost. I immediately felt an improvement in my technique and the chronic ankle pain I've been experiencing has improved greatly.Aside from how lovingly these things hug my feet, the build quality seems excellent and the buckle allows for easy, precise adjustment. If you're a serious cyclist then do yourself, your feet and your ankles a favor and drop the extra cash on these shoes.
