How long will it take for my submission to be published?

    Generally speaking, your post should appear between 1 and 5 days after it is submitted. This is dependent on the schedule of the Daily Shoe Digest, and on the amount of posts that are submitted each week. If your post doesn't appear after 5 days, please re-submit it to: digest-submit@zappos.com .

Why wasn't my post published?

    Although our goal is to publish every single contribution we receive, that isn't always possible. Here are a few reasons why a post may be sidelined:

    • The post was a blatant commercial advertisement.
    • The post was off-topic -- it was unrelated to the subject matter of the digest.
    • The post covered a topic that had been thoroughly discussed in past issues of the digest. Be sure to check the list archives if you are unsure if your post has been previously discussed.
    • The post was clearly submitted to ask the list to visit your website or was a clear promotion of your company or business.
    • The post was a direct response to an individual and not relevant to the entire list.

What do you mean when you say the list is "moderated"?

    "Moderated" just means that list members send their posts to a moderator, who reviews each one and selects the best for inclusion in the finished issue. The main benefit of a moderated discussion list as opposed to an unmoderated forum is that flames and off-topic posts are nearly eliminated. This increases the quality of the list, which in turn makes it a more worthwhile resource.

You're pretty awesome. Let me count the ways: 1. You make it easy for me to find great shoes. That should be enough. BUT I SOLDIER ON. 2. Pretty darn good website. There are lil' bugs here and there (sometimes narrowing a search doesn't totally work, but for the most part it does), but comparing you folks to some other nightmarish sites I've used, especially with the sheer amount of product you have for me to see...well done. 3. Convenience. HOLY CONVENIENCE, BATMAN! Much like Ian McKaye of the band Fugazi, I am a patient boy, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait. But when I order from you I don't have to. I've had shoes get to me so fast I actually thought there must have been a mistake because it got to me TOO quickly. Guys, that is some serious service. This is why I buy shoes exclusively from you. 4. Customer Service. I had a store credit recently, but like an idiot, I deleted the email with the credit code. I called up and talked to a totally friendly, funny, helpful guy. He said he'd take care of emailing me the code and all would be right with the world. OH NOES! The email, actually never showed up. So I called back and spoke with a totally friendly, funny, helpful girl (with a completely pretty voice, I'll be honest) and she got me a coupon code while I was on the phone (THAT'S good turnaround) and explained that there were the dreaded *technical difficulties* and the other dude didn't actually screw up. Guys, I've never talked to a company on the phone and ended with such a good feeling. I have friends that I don't enjoy talking to on the phone that much. Close friends. Is it ok if I just call to talk sometime? I'm kidding. Maybe. 5. You ALL seem to have a sense of humor. You guys are frakkin' funny! Your email, any of the “dig deeper” sort of stuff (blogs, joke of the day, etc.). That is beyond refreshing, thank you so much :) Honestly, as long as you guys are around, you got my bidness. Rock over London, rock on Chicago.
