Sebago Reviews
Love this shoe! Very stylish! Platform makes your legs look awesome! I bought the navy, and I can't stop finding things with which to wear these shoes!!!
Sabago's are always a wonderful shoe. I have several pairs. They have a great arch support. They are true to size with plenty of room. They are great boat shoes!

These are my first pair of Sebagos and I know they won't be my last. I had been watching them for a while but I didn't want to spend full price on my first pair and not like them. Zappos had a great deal and I took advantage of it. I've seen other persons review that runs slightly small so I did go up a half-size and I have no complaints.
I am not going to comment on how comfortable these shoes are since I never wore them myself. They are probably very comfortable since they look like dad shoes, and dads need comfortable shoes for long days at work and dealing with high strung children. If you are not a father/grandfather or even an uncle, I do not think you should buy these shoes because they will give people the wrong impression.
These are great, very comfortable right out of the box the reddish/brown color is a nice different "neutral" color to have for any season depending on where you live.
I bought a pair of Steve Madden on sale from Zappos for my husband to choose. He liked Sebago Helmsman because of the fit as his foot is wide. He also has gotten a lot of compliments from young to old. Definitely worth it.
Shoes are exactly as depicted; size and color true. I ordered the shoes and within less than 24 hours they arrived. I will order from this site again.
Wanted to like these as they are cute and light. But I didn't like them. They were over all too big for me. Maybe someone with a thicker foot would like them. Hard to judge since they didn't work for me.
Wow I really liked the feminine look of this loafer so since they went on sale I purchased two pairs. I could dress it up and wear it with my dresses, skirts, and suits, and dress it down with my jeans. The only problem I had was with the sizing of the black pair it took me three tries to finally get the right size with this shoe. I normally wear a 8 M so reading the reviews I got a 8 W and the shoe was too short so I exchanged it for am 8.5 M and that one was too narrow. When I ordered the 8.5 W in the cordo color that one fit great so once the 8.5 W became available in the black I ordered it and it is PERFECT. I really appreciate the way Zappos handled my returns and exchanges. It seems like this shoe is cut more for a person with an narrow foot because I have a medium foot and I had to get it in a wide because I did not want to wear tight shoes. Thanks
This shoe is very comfy, although I choose to wear high heels all day this shoe is a pleasant change. I can wear it with jeans, khakis, shorts and even a skirt. The best thing about these shoes is the older they get the better.
Had these shoes in black and size 10.5 fit like a glove. Got the brown pair, same size, and they are considerably larger, and look slightly floppy. The forefoot of the sole wore out and split, allowing water to get through to my socks. The heel also is separating from the base of the shoe, causing the wood to break apart. They also cause considerable pain in my arch. The black ones I have held up much better and are much more comfortable, but for some reason the dark brown was a major disappointment in terms of quality.
The service and the product were awesome, I am glad that I choose Zappos and now I will be a long time customer. The customer service person was a model customer service rep, I wish I had people like that working for me.
Very pleased with this purchase. The quality is top-notch and so is the appearance. I have several other pairs of boat shoes but this is my first pair of Sebago. I will definitely buy this brand again.
These shoes look and feel great. They wore in very quickly. Although the Ambergold style is not as rich in tone as it is in the Zappos picture, the shoes still look great. Out of the many shoes that I own, these probably have the most solid grip, especially in wet conditions. Speaking of wet conditions, they take on water with no problem (unless you step in puddles). All in all, excellent shoes.
These are great. Took a bit of time breaking in at first (would wear socks) but after a few years, they've gotten more comfortable. These take a long time to look scuffed up though (probably due to the higher quality leather used) so if you're looking for that look on boat shoes though, then this wouldn't be the best option. Goes well with khakis, shorts, and jeans.
I've had the dark blue docksides back in the 80's and i love it more than my Sperrys. I fell in love with saddle tan color so i ordered one; I was so disappointed when I got it. What is shown on screen is not color correct. It is a bland tan!
These are nice topsiders. I have been wanting a good pair for the last two years and I am glad I made this choice. The seams are of good quality, no fraying threads. Totally satisfied. Also I have a flat foot and sometimes that is a problem, but these work.
I have bought Sebago before and again I am pleased with their quality. They are worth the money that you pay. Style is classic and you know they will last. My old pair was ready to throw away, but I kept them for the old shoe around the house occasions and yet I still catch myself wearing them on errands due to their glove like fit and comfort.
Alright, I know people are saying the sole is cheap and breaks/cracks. I almost agree but mostly disagree because the sole is wood and the Vibram rubber under the shoe has held out, for me at least, for a while. I wore them constantly during the winter, walking through snow, salt, and dirty slush along the curbs. That was a total of about 4.5 months and only now has the Vibram sole finally started to give way along the back corner of the heel (it hasn't quite reached the wood yet). Albeit, I alternated between another shoe, I wore it every other day and every other day for 4 months is quite a lot! Thus, I can safely say that the sole is, in fact, pretty durable, not as much compared to, let's say, Red Wing's, but quality nonetheless. The leather is very nice and tough (I own boat shoes from Sebago -- their leather quality is awesome!) and I have scratches here and there, but it's no big deal because the boots have a nice worn look. The insole can have better cushioning, but I never had any discomforts with it even though I'm slightly flat footed. But what takes the cake for these boots are the looks and style. It's so incredibly aesthetically pleasing. I have worn it so much, made creases on the sides, scratched up the leather all the way around, but I'm still receiving compliments on how good they look. I'm not even kidding. They just look so nice with mostly any kind of jeans and pants as well. I would absolutely recommend these boots and Sebago shoes in general to anyone.
Usually wear a 9.5or 10 in heels, when I first saw them I thought they looked small and at first I thought they would need to be exchanged for a larger size but I have been wearing them around inside for like 20 min and now they feel great! I'm hopeful these will break in nicely as they are all leather. They are very comfy considering I have really wide feet and high arches. First Sebago purchase and will likely not be my last! One note- if you are OCD like me look carefully for discoloration of the rope, at first look I thought it was a stain but now I'm thinking it might be the rope itself, b/c the dark spot is exactly confined to one strand, about 1.5 inches long. So if this might be the type of thing that bothers u check them well before going outside. I got the rose, don't know if the navy has same issue as the wedge looks more bleached on the navy. Very easy to walk in and so cute! Was going to exchange because of the stain but IDK if I can bear to part with them!
I'm on the fence. I tried several Sperry styles, but they were all too narrow for me. I decided to try the Sebago Bala hoping it wouldn't be quite so narrow. The width ended up being great! And the length is normal, too. I usually wear a size 8. In the couple Sperry styles I tried I had to size down to a 7.5, but the Sebagos run true to size and my normal size 8 fit perfect. Here is my issue: color! I first ordered the yellow. It looked beautiful online, but in person it is a gross dirty greenish yellow that reminds me of (I hate to say it) dog puke. Because I liked the feel I decided to try a different color and ordered the Metallic Red (not offered by Zappos). It's a grey color with the tiniest hint of red sheen that is hardly noticeable. It's really very pretty except the trim is cream but the laces are stark white so it looks odd and too busy for me. I really want this shoe in a solid color (nothing two-tone or busy) but the yellow is the only solid color I can find. I'm debating on forcing myself to like the yellow because I really do think this is a cute, comfortable alternative to the Sperry brand! I should note, there's not a ton of cushioning in these, but they are really deep so they have plenty of room to add thick insoles.
