About Sanuk
Sanuk has been around since July, 1997 when Jeff Kelley started making sandals out of inner tubes and indoor-outdoor carpet. 1998 marked Sanuk's first full year of operations. While they've progressed into semi-proper footwear company (uh-oh), Jeff's spirit of innovation still serves as the backbone of their little brand. Today, Sanuk strives to make products that are as much about funk as they are about function. They've found that sandals are happiest when they tread the road less traveled – so Sanuk has design 'em accordingly.
Because "Sanük" is the Thai word for happiness and balance, their name is also their mantra. Sanuk's goal is to provide creatively inspired yet thoughtfully designed products for the global outdoor community... mostly because we're all a part of it.
Headquartered in Southern California, Sanuk is an eclectic little family hailing from Santa Cruz, Seattle, Cardiff by the Sea, the Philippines, Colombia, Hong Kong, and even Papua New Guinea. I really, really wanted to love these shoes. I usually wear an 8 1/2 or a 9 and ordered the 9. They were too long and WAY too wide. I do not have particularly wide or narrow feet, but these were like having pancakes strapped to my feet. The pair I received also had more muted, drab colors. Sad, but had to send them back.
These shoes I would love to be able to wear 24/7. They run 1/2 size smaller, so if you wear an 8 1/2 buy an 8. I find Sanuks to be durable and comfortable.
This is probably my sixth pair of Sanuks and are arguably the best ones yet. The new fabric lining is great. It is so much better than the synthetic stuff used for too long. These are more like the very first pair I bought many years ago. Kudos. And the finish on these (after a run through the washer) is great! Also the hidden cash/key pockets with Velcro on the arch side are perfect! And not even mentioned in the description!
So far, so good! I bought these to go to Hawaii next week. They are very comfortable and reasonably priced. I did not want to pay a lot for flip-flops! They really are made of yoga mat so they do stick to your feet.
Most comfortable "shoe" I own. They are ugly but you will wear them anyway.

I was only able to wear this particular style when I had a swollen foot due to a fractured toe. All my other more expensive sneakers and shoes just didn't cut it during my healing time. Even wore socks with it when it was chilly outside. It is true to size and I have somewhat wide feet to begin with. Felt a bit snug at first but it stretched over time. These are by far by favorite pair of comfortable shoes. Will be ordering another pair for spring. Once again, fabulous service from Zappos!
Best flip flops ever! I own them in multiple colors and buy them for my kids. I searched for years for good flops to replace my old worn out Reefs before I found & fell in love with these. Not only do they feel like you're walking on a cloud, but they don't make you feet smell gross like a lot of cushy flip flops do. Living in Florida, my kids & I wear these year round on a daily basis and we seem to get 9 months out of them before they start to wear out. I also agree with someone else's comment that they have a soapy residue that comes out when they get wet when they're new, but that eventually goes away. They have fairly good traction for a flip flop too. Not fancy enough for dressing up, but super cute for everyday. Buy them, they're amazing!
These work great as slippers - very comfortable and warm. I wear a size 10 in shoes and ordered these in size 11.
I love them. They shipped fast and perfect. The inside of the shoe looks sweet and they're so comfortable!
My husband loves these shoes and finds them incredibly comfortable for use as slippers or just out and about. He typically wears an 11.5 and finds the 12 just right.
These are very casual, relaxed shoes. Very comfortable, almost like slippers (not like running shoes). Fit loose, not tight.
You can live in these! So comfortable - light and very travel friendly.
These shoes were a gift, so I cannot give my opinion, but I will say the recipient was crazy about them. Couldn't say enough of good things about the fit. I will say your shipping is extremely fast but was bummed that my information was not more secure and was among those hacked... only thing I can say negative... get better online security!
Shoes are so cute and so comfy! Definitely going to want to get a size larger than you need... I had to soak mine in hot water then put a thick sock on to loosen them up a bit...now they're broke in and are perfect!
I love Sanuk shoes, so I figured I'd try these out. Don't waste the money. They cut into your heal and are miserable on your feet. I got a size and a half larger to avoid the problem, and they still are uncomfortable.
My son told me about Zappos and Sanuks last year while visiting California. I love the shoes don't wear anything else now. My feet stopped hurting as soon as I started wearing them. And Zappos has the fastest and best processing I have ever encountered with any business. Thanks!
My wife absolutely loves her Sanuk Scribble Chills! She says they are so very comfortable, she wants another pair! We are both very happy with all of our Sanuks!
True to size and amazingly comfortable! They give more support with the yoga cushion sole than many other flip flops. Great purchase!
These are awesome. At first I was a bit afraid because I think my perfect size would be a 5.5 but the 6's, although a little roomy, are super comfy and cute. Wearable right out of the box.
