Salt Water Sandal by Hoy Shoes

I've read some excellent reviews about Saltwater Sandals for little ones. So I was super excited to buy these. (I also purchased the Sea Wees in shiny yellow. Those are adorable and perfectly comfy.) I think the pair I received may be defective though. When both of my twins wear them, their pinkie toes stick out of only one shoe. The other shoe is completely fine! I've had them wear them a few times to see if the strap would stretch out and somehow contain the toe, but it's not happening! It hasn't bothered either of them yet when they wear these shoes, but once their feet get a little bigger, I can foresee it being very unbearable. I'm really disappointed by the construction. The straps look uneven on one of the shoes!

Big fan of the look and functionality of these sandals. Love that they can get wet, and the price is right. Wish that the buckle was easier to do for little fingers. Size down.

Great sandals! We get these every year for our son. He loves them and they are great for daily use and special occasions. They clean up really well and stay in nice shape to pass on.

These are cute shoes and they were almost what I was looking for. But, I realized when they arrived that I had not read the description carefully enough. I just assumed that all shoes for kids this age had Velcro straps. That was not true. These are the old school buckle and strap. I bought these for my three year old and just getting Velcro shoes on her to get her out the door in the morning can be a challenge, so I did not want to deal with a buckle that requires her cooperation to increase the challenge. Other than that they are great but that was a deal breaker for me so I returned them.

I buy salt water sandals for my three granddaughters yearly. Thrilled to see patent leather to add to the natural leather. Adorable.

THE Perfect Summer Sandal! I was hesitant about the open-toe especially for a 2 year-old, however she has worn them for long stretches of time at the park and beyond without incident. They are sporty and feminine and so cute all around. Love this shoe and will purchase again!

We had to send these sandals back. First of all, the leather is very tough. So tough it squeaks. It is almost belt like quality. Second, they run very narrow. we couldn't even put them on and my son has very average feet plumpness wise. I was very disappointed with this pair. We got a See Kai Run instead, a very similar looking model, and couldn't be happier. The quality difference is night and day!

So comfortable - I got them a size too big since I'm pregnant and my feet will probably be swelling a lot this summer, and while they have plenty of room, they don't look like they are too big.

These are very cute sandals made from very soft leather. They are very difficult to get on. The strap is wider than buckle. The holes were not perforated. They are comfortable enough not to return. They are too narrow to wear with socks on regular sized feet.

Just got these today - whoa, that's some fast delivery, Zappos! Love them. I'm already thinking about the next color I should order. Because I usually wear a 8 1/2, I first ordered a 9, thinking I was playing it safe. Wrong. Had to return, but the 8 is perfect. (The box they came in has a little sticker inside that says "should not be oversized when fitted.") Thank goodness for Zappos' incredible return policy.

These sandals are so cute but run huge! My kiddo was sized as 5W in Stride Rite but the 4 in these sandals were humongous. Seriously I think he could go 2 sizes down. I am not reordering though, they are a bit too feminine looking and I will wait till he fits the larger "Surfer" style.

These are my favorite summer sandals of all time. They are very comfortable and go with everything I own. The leather is very soft and only gets better each time I wear them.

I love Salt Waters more than pretty much every other shoe. It's really key to make sure these fit you snugly enough, as they tend to stretch out and adjust as time goes on. I'm an 8 and I bought a Youth 6 and it's the perfect fit. They are comfortable and durable, and look just as at home with jeans or shorts at the beach as they do with a summer dress at a garden party. Love.

I bought these for my 7 year old. These are my favorite summer sandal; they are so versatile and can be dressed up and down. They go everywhere from the beach to play to church. They are so easy to care for--just wipe clean or hand wash with mild soap and water. They come out looking like new again with a great worn look. They out-last my daughter. I buy them big enough to wear them for two seasons. These are the best.

We are on our 5th pair of these cute little sandals. I don't know what we will do when she outgrows them! They are the only pair of sandals my daughter wears. We have also found that they last and are easy to resale. They run a tiny bit long which works for me. Lots of colors. We used them for both the ring bearer and flower girls in 2 weddings last summer. Thanks!

Really cute, but there was no way my daughter's arch (not even a very high one) was going to slide under the stiff leather. We're going to try the non-shiny version to see if that works.

I love the classic style of these sandals; however, the straps are a bit tricky to do even for a five year old so I end up having to help her put her shoes on. Other than that, we love the sandals.

The shoes looked great, but did not have my size, 8. So I got the 9 to see how it would fit and they are huge! They most likely fit a size 11. WAY TOO BIG. I think my size would be a 6/7.

Absolutely love 'em! I bought a pair for my daughter (4) and then decided to buy a pair for myself. I have slightly wide, size 7, feet. I bought the youth 5/women 7 and they fit perfectly. I put them on the first day I received them, wore them the entire day and no absolutely no discomfort. They are super cute with wide leg pants, crops, maxi, etc. I'll be back for another pair in a different color soon!

Salt Water sandals are by far one of the best especially for young children. They are cute with exceptional quality. We have been buying Salt Water sandales for 8+ years and are always happy.
