Propet Reviews
At first, I loved these boots. Roomy, for my bunion, and sturdy. Had them about a year, and then the R shoe started making a swooshing sound, then in another couple of months a click, whenever I stepped. It is very expensive to have them resoled, because it is only one layer/molded sole. But, it can be done and I will, since I like everything else about the boot. The upper leather is still in terrific shape, although the fabric around the ankle is pilling a little.
Excellent boot. Warm and comfortable and waterproof. I bought this boot in a wide size, which is hard to find.
I am very happy with this shoe. It is warm, keeps you dry, and very comfortable. No need to spend a lot of money. This shoe is good enough and the price is great.
I have owned these shoes for one year now. I wear them 2-3 times per week and they only show very minimal wear. I walk crooked so the outer soles normally wear out on my shoes...but these soles have not worn out at all! Very comfortable. Would buy them again...when, and if, they ever wear out!
I chose these because of all the great reviews. I'm looking for something to replace the worn out Avia's. I found them to be incredibly stiff and the wide was not nearly wide enough for me. Overall, I could barely walk across the living room in these.
These boots aren't particularly fashionable but they are comfortable. Nice wide toe box perfect shape to foot bed so the heel doesn't slip when you take a step. I wish they weren't so chunky looking but I think with comfort outweighs the look.
Rats! I love these but they are too big. Couldn't believe it since I ordered a 9 1/2 4E. I adjusted the straps too but will order the next size down.
Finally found a boot that is a true XW. Plenty of room for a bulky sock to keep warm and steady on icy sidewalks! Wish dressier boots followed their foot-print.
I sent this to my mom as a gift, and she loves them. She's hard to fit, and these are so adjustable they work really well. And nice style too. Glad they come in several colors; we may be back for more.
These boots are great for short trips in the snow, as in dog walking, otherwise not so comfy! They are very heavy and awful to drive in! The top of the boot is constricting when your foot is bent.
I loved these boots. Got them as a Christmas present and wore them quite often. Noticed on January 20th (less than 30 days) the side rubber where it bends, split. Augh. I have had other Propet products and have been very satisfied.
I ordered this shoe in 8.5 W. The arch support was in a lower spot than my arch. Took out their insole and added mine and then the shoe was way too narrow. I'm finding that Propet shoe's are catering to those folks that order wide because their feet are larger than normal, not because they are wider than normal. As with the other Propet style I ordered, these shoes are tall in the toe area but narrow width.
I really wanted to like these boots, but I had to return them. I ordered the XX wide and these still were narrow. However, they were very tall in the toe box. These would be great for a person needing to order wide if you have a large foot, however if you are like me and have a normal size foot, just wider than they are narrower than most Wide and XX Wide I wear. Could I move my toes up and down? Yes. Did they feel pinched? Absolutely. In fact they were so tall that even with adding my own insole to be on top of theirs it was still lots of 'top' room. It sucks for me since I was looking for a good weather hiking boot.
It's perfect right out of the box! A great substitute for Easy Spirit's Toocute! Found out I really did to wear the same size as my shoe, not sandal size so I guess it must be true to size and 7.5 is a 7.5! Very lightweight and cushy with a removable insole if the clog is too high volume for your feet!
I ordered a 7.5 wide to accommodate Morton's neuromas, even though I have "regular" width feet. This shoe doesn't conform well across the instep and feels too long. I tried correcting with a thicker sock and it made the toe box too narrow.
I bought these ankle boots because I needed a comfortable, durable, and cute shoe for a 5 month stint in Italy where I knew I would be walking a ton. They were true to size, a good price, and still look brand new, but after walking the whole day the ball/arch of my feet would be killing me. I added 2 sets of inserts but it did no good. I would suggest more cushion on the balls for better comfort.
Ordered this as a replacement for Easy Spirit's Toocute clog/slipper which I have loved for a few years now and have worn out. I missed buying a replacement this year in black and there was no other color that would suffice so I decided to try this one instead. So far the size 7 (my slipper size) is just a tad too short since the toes are a little narrower at the front. I like the removable shim for the footbed and taking that out, helped the fit but not quite enough so will try the 7.5 (my shoe, not slipper size). The support feels very decent and am hopeful this will be the replacement slipper to take me to the mailbox on cold mornings!
Was very excited to get the boots because I have long narrow feet and a lot of difficulty finding shoes that fit properly. Unfortunately my ankles are also narrow so the boot was actually very loose. Aesthetically they are chunkier than in the photograph but still if the ankles had fit I would have kept them because they were very comfortable.
I would not buy these. Within a few weeks of use the seam around the side started leaking and my waterproof boots became not so waterproof. I talked to Propet because they were under warranty. They said they would replace them if I sent them in. I sent them in (at my cost). It took them 2 months to process and then they said they didn't have any boots because those were a seasonal item. I asked for replacement boots now that they are in stock and they won't return my calls or emails. So, I am out the money + the return shipping costs to Propet.
