I bought these shoes for my fiance after trying a similar pair in woman's about a year ago. The only reason I returned them was that they did not provide half sizes. From my experience, they were the perfect rain boot for someone who wants simple, sleek, and non-bulky boots. If you are a fan of Vans or high-top Converse these would be comparable in a waterproof version. The lining has more fuzziness than something like Chucks, but not as much as their other styles, which have more sheep-like padding for colder weather. I chose the Tretorn Strala for my fiance so they weren't too hot to wear in the summer and spring rain as well. I never heard any complaints about comfort or fit so I will assume they are true to size and width. From what I remember, I think they have moderate to low arch support. Other reviews will probably give you more accuracy on that point.

The 1st pair of low cut rain boots received looked like they had a small hole & were maybe repaired? Well my husband called & spoke with a representative & had never been treated with so much consideration & respect. He was sent a new pair & has used them several times & they are great! The biggest treat is how nice it is to call & talk with people that treat you so well. And we didn't even have to leave our home to get a great product. Can't compliment Zappos enough! Good job!

These boots looked like they would work for my use, but they were too hard to pull on and lacked arch support. No half sizes offered, so I'll look for something else. I like the service that Zappos offers and the user friendly web site.

Really enjoying this so far in what has been a pretty wet SF Bay Area winter! Super comfy, completely water proof and totally cool to wear all day. Really easy to slip on and off too! The sole is a tiny bit thin, which I like, but some people may expect a little bit more support down there. I was looking for something that would feel like waterproof version of my Vans slip-ons. This is it.

I had a pair of the old style Strala (which look like they're on sale) which had thicker rubber and cracked in the instep. These appear to be made of a far thinner, more pliable rubber and so far, no cracks. Honestly, even with the cracking I like these so much I would have likely bought a second pair. Great shoes.

It took a few tries to get the size right, but I ended up a half size down from my usual. They look great are very comfortable and most importantly keep my feet nice and dry. I've only had them a month or two but they seem to be holding up well to my 2 mile morning dog walks through snow, ice, water and mud. I was especially glad I had them on at dinner the other night when a waiter accidentally spilled an entire beer on my foot. Not a problem. I think i'm in love.

I bought these rain boots for my husband and he wore them for weeks straight. They look like regular shoes, almost like Converse sneakers and are super comfortable according to him. There is no arch support but it's a rain boot so that's pretty much expected.

These are perfect for slush and rain. Very comfortable and don't look like rain boots. If you wear a thick wool sock with these, they work in winter to low teens. These are a great buy - especially for a guy who doesn't want to wear girl boots.

Solid construction: waterproof, simple, stylish, comfortable (5 stars) and easy to slip on and off.

My initial impression of these boots was not very good, as the right heel tab pulled off the very first time I tried them on. I was tempted to return them, fearing they would start falling apart in other places, but they seemed nice in every other way, so I kept them. I'm glad I did. Aside from that one problem, they've proven to be reliable, comfortable, and most importantly for me, waterproof. I wear these for walking and biking through rain and snow, which they've worked great for. They're not the warmest in the world, but they're definitely warmer than my shoes, so I'm not complaining; usually I just wear shoes all winter long. Bottom line: I'd recommend these. FYI, they fit true-to-size on my feet.

After wearing these 5 or 6 times, I feel good about them. They definitely keep the water out. They feel good inside -- they keep the feet warm in cool weather, but they don't do much for really cold weather. The only drawback is the heel does not feel all that stable when walking briskly on a hard surface. It's hard to explain, but I think it should be stiffer with a bit more material at the back.

Of all the shoes I own, these have gotten the most compliments from people. Everywhere. On the bus, at the airport, in restaurants. I definitely like the sole and arch support, these are way better than Hunters. That said, I have only had these for four months. The elastic side panel on one foot, some of the thread must have broken off. The top is now curly, instead of straight. Also, I just noticed yesterday that the side seam is starting to break. Which means I can no longer try to walk in a few inches of water. I still like these overall, but wish they were sturdier.

These boots were warm and dry for the first few months. After eight months, the rubber on the instep started cracking, and water leaked in when I walked on wet grass. No refund from Zappos and so they were a waste of money. If you can afford a new pair every six months, they're fine.

I liked these boots very much at first. Unlike almost all other shoes, they fit my feet, which are very wide in the toes. The second time I put them on, one of the tabs above the heel came off, though I forgave the shoes pretty quickly for this. After wearing them for about two months, however, the rubber began to crack, making them no longer waterproof. They are useless to me now, and I only wore them for a couple months. If you are looking for rugged work boots, I would not suggest these. If you need boots to wear casually around town, I still wouldn't suggest them. I gave them one star for comfort, because wet feet are not comfortable, and one star for style, because having wet feet is not my style.

I love these boots. They're very comfortable and really get the job done. They're perfect to wear all day during wet Chicago winters. They do run large so order a half size down. I luckily went to Nordstrom to try them on first but bought them here. They are cheaper here.

Like these rubbers; okay, rubber boots. Good for puddles up to four inches deep. That's helpful in subtropical Miami.

Great boots. Comfortable and work as advertised. Been wearing these in every storm this Spring and they still look new after a quick wipe down.

Fit and construction are excellent and the shoes really are waterproof. However, I wish the shoes came in 1/2 sizes. The lack of cushioning on the sole becomes uncomfortable after long walking but nothing beats keeping your feet dry in the rain.

I liked these boots at first, but after 3 months the rubber on the instep of the boots began to crack. The boots now leak water in through the cracks and are useless. The rubber has also started to peel apart and flake off from all areas of the boots. I have owned three different Tretorn shoes over the years, and all of them wore out within six months.

Fit a little small for me, so I had to go one size up. I may add an extra heel cushion for city walking on rainy days, so that's another reason I went up, as well as having room for thick socks for cold days. For hot weather, my normal size probably would have worked. I haven't yet worn them enough to test durability.

Ordered at Sunday at midnight. Delivered Monday morning at 11AM. Very impressed. Good looking style. Price right. I don't wear boots. Had a little trouble getting boot on. Waiting for El Nino to show up here in SoCal.so I can go out in play in the rain in jumped in puddles. Time will tell how I really feel.

Sole was a bit thinner and flimsier than I imagined from the video, but otherwise I'm satisfied. Could be a bit warmer for these cold Chicago winters, but I really appreciate that this is a super versatile shoe that keeps me dry and prevents me from having to carry clunky boots and a second pair of shoes. Grab your thick socks and you're good for the cold.

Great rain shoe. I was looking for a non-winter water-proof shoe, and this is great so far. I've only worn these is cool weather (30s mostly) with sloppy conditions, and my feet stay dry and surprisingly warm. I wonder if they will be hot in summer. They handle puddles very well. Runs a bit big as others suggested. I purchased my normal size, and they are okay, but a bit loose.

This is not the most exciting pair of shoes, but they get the job done. They are practical without completely sacrificing style. They succeeded in keeping my feet dry and comfortable during a recent trip to Chicago, even while walking in a blizzard.
