Merrell Plaza Bandeau SKU #7463023(View on Zappos.com Classic)

This is the second pair of the Merrell Plaza Bandeau shoes that I've bought. They are as comfortable and stylishly casual (and casually stylish) as the first pair. The brown on this pair is a rich color, much nicer than pictured here. My first pair is black, and they've worn well over the year I've had them. I bought the second pair just so I'd have some color variety.

Love this shoe! It is very comfortable with a cushy sole, so walking around the city in these is a breeze. Plus, the slight heel is nice for my pants that are a little long for flats. (I hate it when my pants drag or touch the ground when it's wet out because all the water soaks up the pant leg). I'd have to say my only gripe is the toe box. It has plenty of room laterally but is slightly shallow height wise. What I mean is my big toe angles up slightly and if the toe box in shoes is too shallow, then my nail hits the top of the shoe and it bruises my toenails. Make sense? Anyway, they are great but just a teeny, tiny bit shallow in the toe box. I found most people don't have that problem...

These shoes are very comfortable, look great, and are of excellent quality. I bought them a 1/2 size larger than I use because I want to use them with thick socks. They fit well, except that the strap fits a little tight and you cannot adjust it.

I love these shoes and this is probably my 6th pair I have purchased over the years! I initially purchased them as a comfortable work shoe. I loved them so much that I wear them all the time. I had to get extra pairs in other colors (same style). Great shoe & made very well. Happy to see Zappos carried the style. I had a successful transaction with Zappos & will use them again!

These are wonderful shoes. I have a new baby and wanted something that would be very comfortable for long walks, but would still look more urban than running shoes. The Plaza Bandeau shoes have so far been perfect. I walk several miles a day in them and have had no problems at all. The slip-on styling is also great for getting out the door quickly with an impatient baby! I think that Merrell sizing tends to run a little big. I tried my regular size and a half-size down in these shoes, and it was the smaller pair that fit better.

I love these shoes; I needed a versatile shoe for long days on my feet and potentially adverse weather, and I couldn't be happier. I got the espresso, and they are super-cute, they look great with fun socks or tights. No breaking in necessary. I am on my feet in an animal ER for 10+ hours at a time, and they provide great support and comfort as well as traction galore. I've worn them on pretty long hikes because I'm silly, and they came out of it none too worse the wear, as did my feet! I can wear them for work or play, and get a lot of compliments. I have numerous orthopedic problems and often feel achy after a day's work, even with orthotics in, but not with these shoes. I am now a Merrell devotee. I normally wear a 9, give or take a 1/2 size, and I almost wish I'd gotten these in an 8.5 instead, although the slight roominess allows for me to wear thick hiking socks or warm wool socks comfortably. Arch support seems like it would be good for most people, but I have insanely high arches and have never found shoes that fully supported them. I practically never take them off!

These shoes are cute, very comfortable, and great to walk and stand in. Right from the box they were eminently wearable. So far my only complaint is that the rubberized toe and sides seem to affect breathability when wearing socks (vs tights or hose).

I was looking for a comfortable, chocolate brown shoe for a trip to New England. Knew Merrell was a brand I loved, so looked up that brand on Zappos. Saw this shoe, looked for it in my local Merrell store. They did not have it in chocolate brown, so ordered it from Zappos. Came swiftly. Shoe is stylish and very comfortable. I have a bunion on my left foot, so feared it might be too tight. However, after a few short wears, the suede stretched just enough to accommodate the bunion. Got lots of compliments on my cute, comfortable shoes. Strap is not meant to be unfastened. Can slide foot into shoe as is. Would do this again! Thanks.

These are cute shoes, but they are not comfortable, so far. I bought them to wear on a trip of New York City. By the end of the first day, I was dying. My feet were sore, so I didn't wear them the rest of the trip. I liked the heel height because some of my athletic style pants are kind of long for my Nikes. I will try to wear them again. The leather is very stiff and even though the sole is rubber, the inside footbed feels hard and inflexible.
