Pour La Victoire Reviews
Slips off my daughter's feet. Tried insoles, don't work. Cold pretty quality nice. Came with extra heel caps.
Beautiful & sexy, but Ouch...I don't mind the sacrifice of pain for fashion, but these beauties are like walking on glass!
I'm very disappointed. I waited so long to finally buy these shoes and when I opened up the box and took them out...The shoes are beautiful and comfortable enough to walk on but the stitches on the leather are crooked and made the shoes look cheap. I'm returning mine.
I love these shoes. They aren't the most comfortable for extended wear, but they are very pretty. I'm still breaking them in.
I couldn't be happier with these shoes! I got the black and tan, and they look great with every outfit I've tried so far. They are as comfortable as any "comfort" shoes, but much more fashionable. I can't deny they're expensive, but if you're willing to spend the price, they're worth it. I've never owned a pair of Pour La Victoires before but will be on the lookout now. They seem very well made.
I love these shoes. They look very well made, have a little bit of built in padding and are super comfortable. Even the box they came in is beautiful! Will definitely buy more from this brand.
These sandals are even more beautiful in person! High quality materials and great mint color are exactly as pictured. Upper straps hit at the most flattering point maximizing the leg lengthening effect. These shoes look great with skirts, shorts or skinny jeans and will get lots of wear this spring. Length and width fit true to size and they are easy to walk in. There is a padded foot bed and they intially seem quite comfortable although i havent worn them out yet.
I got the black foil patent in my true to size 6.5. When I first put them on, I thought my toes would fall off! The toe box is very narrow. However, they felt fine length wise, and I could feel my smaller foot (I have slightly uneven sized feet) slipping out of the heel if I walked a certain way. I wore them around the house for about 30 minutes at a time, standing and sitting, and my toes would still go numb. I tried the blow dryer trick by heating the toe box up before putting them on, and still not good enough. I then did the ice trick. I filled a ziploc up with water and pushed it into the toe box of each shoe then put them in the freezer over night. The next day I took out the frozen bags, and put new bags of water in and froze again. The night after that I wore them out to a bar for about two hours. By the end of that night they were broken in, no pain whatsoever, super comfortable and easy to walk in for the height. I figure I had more trouble since I got the patent, I'm thinking the non patent leathers would have stretched and molded to my feet more easily. If you're willing to put in the break in time and effort, they are fantastic. The look sexy without being trashy, and are easy to walk in due to the platform. Love them.
My big spring splurge was the Beige Nappa Gilliana shoe. Had to send them back, alas. I own a pair of the Ilianas, and they are way more comfortable and true to size. I am a size 8 in every shoe except sneakers (usually an 8-1/2), and these were tight in an 8. The Gilliana has a tight toe box, giving me the dreaded squished-in foot look that is the tipoff that the shoe is too small. The Iliana is soooo flippin' comfortable (and cheaper) that I was really surprised at the zero comfort of this shoe and the tiny toe box. I wear 4" heels or higher every day, so this is not a newbie-to-heels comment. For an expensive shoe, I expected more, although the leather was buttery soft. They go back today. Thank you for trying, Zappos!
I have desired a pair of hot red heels forever, and I splurged on the red Irinas. Unfortunately, they are going back since the red has a pinkish cast, and it's not a true red. Perhaps it's because it's a patent red? Alas, color me sad. However, the fit of the shoes is so flippin' comfortable for such a high heel. I can say nothing bad about the comfort & style of Pour La Victoire shoes. If a woman says, "Oh, no, I can walk in high heels all day without hurting my feet!," then she is likely wearing PLV heels! Highly recommend the line, just not this color if you're looking for fire engine red.
OMG LOVE these shoes! True to size. I did feel like my feet would slide forward so I bought a pad for the front of the shoe. Easy to walk in. Very Sexy and HOT. I bought the cognac color and will be purchasing another color as well.
These pumps are killer...and I mean that in the good way...the best way. They're stunning and are EXACTLY what I've been looking to buy. I went a little crazy and bought these in four colors (tobacco patent, deep red pearlized patent, iron grey foil cloudy patent, and the black foil cloudy patent from somewhere else that should be here soon) and the three that I've seen and tried on so far are gorgeous. They fit like a dream--my heel doesn't pop up and my toes don't feel like they're being crushed either. I've always had trouble with heels (I take a 7-8 in shoes depending on style/make), finding 7.5's to be a bit too small (squished toe syndrome) and 8's to be a bit too big (foot not staying in shoe syndrome). The 7.5's fit perfectly though and I am so happy to have finally found a brand of heels that fit me properly. They're actually pretty comfortable too considering the 4 1/2 in. heel and the 1 in. platform. They look like they're of really high quality and are in my opinion way nicer than some higher end brands that go for 2-3 times the price. I'm really bummed that the camel soft patent is out of stock in a 7.5 because I would've gotten that one too! Pour La Victoire is definitely now my go-to brand for pumps.
There is no denying that these are beautiful shoes but they are not very comfortable to wear more than an hour or two. I have a normal width foot, but very tight around the box area, even after trying the water/ice stretch method. Blister cream applied before wear helped me avoid blisters around the edges. Even though the description says the incline is 3 3/4 in. high, they feel higher than that-I really had to hold on to my husband's hand to steady me while walking. If the above mentioned aren't typical problems for you, then you've found the perfect shoe.
Holy platform, these rock! Unbelievable how comfortable these shoes are! I cannot do really high heels though I love them- these are great. Very comfortable and feels like you are wearing a lower heel. A little (and I mean very little) tight on the left toe box, but already feel better after a little wear and stretch. I purchased the Iron Grey Foil color and they are really beautiful and the color unusual- but versatile. You can wear anywhere. So excited to wear these even more- out with jeans or to work or dressed up for a night out on the town- these can do it all. I cannot speak to wearing them all day at work, but honestly, so far, they have been amazing!
I just got this pair of shoes, and I am very disappointed, as I have to return it. I ordered a 6.5, and there is NO WAY these shoes are this size! They run small, so make sure you order a half size up (at least). I would follow up with another review about how a size 7 fits, but of course that size is not available.
I own a pair of Pour La Victoire Irina's and a pair of Melias and I like them both but I'm generally not a fan of platforms and am rather tired of the look. The Gilliana is a great replacement. It is a very classic look but gives the additional height with a 4 3/4" heel. I'm 5'4" so I generally don't wear heels shorter than 4". I am really happy I decided to purchase these shoes. They fit true to size. I wear 8.5 in almost every other brand of shoe, including the other Pour La Victoire's I own, and the 8.5 fit great. No complaints. Beautiful shoe.
Adore these shoes. Comfortable and easy to walk in with the platform, a little pricey but they're great quality.
Love these shoes, they are very comfortable for how high they are, I could probably walk in them for a little over an hour. They are very well made and I get a lot of complements on them every time I wear them.
These are the most beautiful and comfortable platform pumps I have tried on. In fact, I returned these once and I thought I would buy a pair of Jimmy Choo's instead. After trying on the Jimmy Choos's, these were the obvious choice. They make your legs look long and sexy and the shape of the shoe is just exquisite.
