After 5 years of success supplying shoes to the best of British stores, Poetic Licence Shoes decided to break away from just being a supplier and created its own brand. First launched in 2005, Poetic Licence shoes are designed in the UK and sold to small boutiques and stores all over the world.

I bought these shoes in Forest Green and they are CUTE! Vintage style, modern comfort. Now, I wouldn't go hiking in these, but they are reasonably comfortable and the heel is a good 3"; not too high, but high enough to show some style. For a long time I had been wanting a cute pair of Mary Janes or an oxford type of shoe and those I tried on in either style did not fit or just looked like too much shoe on my size 10 feet. The PL Orient Express is almost perfect on my foot, but in a 9.5. They seem to be sized large, like most shoes these days, unfortunately. Just a note, they did not smell badly, they do not squeak. Perhaps the other reviewer received a defective pair.
Runs about a full size small but are very comfortable. I get tons of compliments on them every time I wear them.
I like Poetic Licence shoes, but the toe box on these is too narrow for my foot. It felt cramped and my whole foot was on an uncomfortable angle. I have wider feet, so this may not be an issue for others. The shoes are very sparkly and shiny.
Cannot tell from the photo but they have a metalic green sheen to them. This actually makes them more playfull. Got compliments on these right away. When I fist tried them on felt they were tight across the front edge but after and hour it streatched out and was really very comfy
I loved these so much on screen that I bought two pairs (one in green). Like their other styles, they are even cuter in person. They fit great and are very comfortable. I wore these grocery shopping once and was very comfy even on the hard grocery floor for way too long.
I have wide feet, so when read everyone commenting on how these run wide I was excited that they would fit me. Unfortunately, they're not wide enough. If the vamp didn't come up so high, they would've probably worked, but they are too tight across the top of my foot. I was also surprised that the green was actually a shiny green. Didn't look that way in the pics.
I love these shoes. They are so comfortable and I get a ton of complements when I wear them! One of my coworkers liked them so much she bought a pair also. These are my third pair of Poetic Licence shoes.
Love these shoes! They are comfortable and very cute. There are so many colors in the fabric that they can go with lots of different outfits. Not your average shoe!
I agree with previous reviewers: these are incredibly cute shoes, but they run huge. I am usually a 7.5 or an 8 -- ordered the 7.5, due to another pair of PL shoes in 8 running a bit big. This pair, at 7.5, was even bigger than my first, size 8 pair! Thank goodness for Zappos' great return policy and easy procedure. Too bad these are out of stock, or I would have tried a 7. Will wait for another style.
These shoes are super super cute, love them. However, they gave me a blister on my ankle and I had to buy a half size smaller due to the heel being large on my size and slipping. To the point of not being able to walk. But the 8½ work and I love them!
I have a black pair, love them! Great details, smart, and receive many compliments! My friend visiting from TN had them on last month and I fell in love.
These shoes are cute, but they have a horrible smell and they squeak loudly when walking.

These are super cute and well-made. Leather is soft and laces are adjustable. They are pretty comfortable to walk in, and I wish these would come in bright red!
These shoes were so lovely and well finished that, even though I chose another pair for the event for which I was shopping, I kept these anyway. They may be the most comfortable heels I've ever worn, perhaps because of the spacious toe box. I have a narrow foot and these shoes felt roomy without feeling too large. I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2 (39 European). I bought these in 39 and they felt like an 8 1/2 American.
I absolutely love these adorable shoes! I got the grey color, and they are better looking in person, I think. I love the subtle detailing. I just received them, so I haven't worn them out of the house, but I can tell that they are very well made and comfortable (for a 3+ inch heel, that is). I would say that they run a tiny bit large but not enough that I think I need to size down. I'll probably just use an inset if it winds up being a problem. Bottom line, if you are on the fence about these shoes, don't hesitate; get them! They are unique and lovely.
Wanted to love this shoe, but after walking around the house in it, I found there is little padding in the forefoot area, and it is painful. They are going back.
I've read that some people have had to size down in these shoes, but I did not find that to be the case. They also feel extremely comfortable in the toe area. These heels are incredibly adorable and spice up any outfit. They're so comfortable and surprisingly easy to walk in for 3 inch heels. Now I want a pair in every color!
Cute but runs big at the heel so my foot kept slipping out. I also have a fat ankle due to a surgery and this rubbed on the side of my ankle because the side is very high. Had to go back.
