Chose these over All Stars. Glad I did. These are so comfortable. They fit great, look great, feel great. Have yet to test them out on the baseball field or through town running from The Beast.

These sneakers look great and carry a nostalgic cachet that, perhaps, can be appreciated only by those of the early to mid Boomer generation (PF Flyers...wow!). The comfort level, however, could be better. It feels as if there's very little padding between the sidewalk and my feet, despite the insole.

I had pairs of Converse for years, but after learning PF Flyers were not only still being made, but had better features than Converse, I had to check them out. I bought the Sandlot Hi Re-Issue last year, and they are way more comfortable and sturdy than Converse. Only way I'd buy another pair of Converse is if they were on sale and steeply discounted. Otherwise, my money will be spent on the Flyer's. The canvas is thicker, the sole is a bit thicker, and I like the arch insert and LOVE the texture on the toe box area. It looks bad-ass. I also like that the logo is rubber (not some thin glued-on thing) and actually on the outside. I usually don't like logos on my clothing, but with these shoes, I don't mind because they're so awesome. They're the same price as Converse, so it now doesn't make sense to me why anyone would buy a pair of Converse. As far as the fit, I decided to go a size up after reading the reviews about them. I wore a 10.5 in Converse, but got an 11 in these. After testing them in my apartment, I felt that size was perfect. And I rated the arch support as excellent because, for this type of shoe, they really do feel good. But if you're planning on jogging or something in these, that might not be the case. (But why would you be jogging in them, anyway?) The only issue I've had with these is that the arch insert thing squeaks a bit when it rubs against my socks. However, it's only noticeable when I'm, say, walking down a quiet hallway in my apartment building. In conclusion, if you want a pair of hi-tops or lo-tops, get some Flyers.

I love the shoe and how it looks. I just have a flat foot and it has too much arch support for me because it's the "Archival Re-Issue." Great product though.

I am not a fan of shoes that make one's feet look too big. As these shoes are quite narrow, the vertical ribs on the toe area help reduce the long appearance of the shoe. These vertical elements reduce a horizontal overload. The toe is a bit more rounded compared to Converse Chucks, as well as flat on the top of the toe cap. The metal grommets are the same color as the lace/canvas upper. This is a nice touch. The laces are a bit too long, and I ended up getting my own that were the appropriate length. However, the lace area is its own separate piece of fabric sewn into the rest of the upper. This provides a nice visual appeal and increased sturdiness. The toe cap is smaller than on a Converse Chuck Taylor, thus these do not make your foot look so long. The rubber side wall is a bit taller than on a Converse Chuck Taylor. I like the rubber PF logo on the outside ankle. I was worried the black on black would be too monochromatic, but the canvas is darker than the rubber sidewall. The sidewall appears more dark charcoal gray than black. They have a nice green PF logo on the back heel with a nice contrast gray stripe going up the back. The cushioned foot bed was surprising. I am used to canvas shoes having a bare minimum of cushioning. These feel like they have pillows in the inner sole. While narrow shoes, they fit true to size. I am a 10 in most shoes and found that a 10 worked for me with PF Flyers. The tongue does slip and ends up on the side of the shoe. Converse Chucks are so overdone, and while iconic, they are so cliche. Also, my dad, who grew up in the 50's and 60's tells me that most people wore PF Flyers. So, if you want true retro shoes and nice fashion piece that does not feel overplayed, then PF Flyers are for you. I have received a number of compliments from real sneaker aficionados. These shoes beat Converse hands down.

First off, let me say this. I bought two pairs of shoes for my son for Christmas, which turned out to be the wrong size (my fault, not Zappos). When they didn't have the same shoes in his correct size, he chose two more pair, the PF Flyers and a pair of Sperry's Topsiders. All I can tell you is, Zappos is the greatest retailer on earth. They went above and beyond to get the replacement shoes to my son 24 hours later, at no additional expense to me. If every company ran itself like Zappos, this country would be flourishing. I've been a Zappos customer for 10 years, and they never, ever disappoint. Oh, my son loves his shoes as well. Thank you Zappos, don't ever change.

What can I say? Want to look like you know what "cool" is, well these shoes are it. As for Zappos -- couldn't be better. The arrival time in December even surprised me as they were quicker than they said. I would shop here again and again.

My teenage son wanted these shoes for Christmas, I had only heard of PF Flyers from the movie Sand Lot. Shipping time was super fast and the quality of the shoe is great, my son said they are comfortable. He has got lots of compliments on them. I think these are much better quality then Converse Going to purchase another paid in a different color.

Love the PF Flyers. I ordered the shoes 1/2 size bigger and they fit my son great. Ordering was quick and easy and shipping was free and the best thing was they arrived in time for Christmas. Thank you so much.

I like these so much that when they fell apart after three years, I ordered an identical pair. They are essentially Chucks with arch support. I have narrow feet and they are very comfy. Only problem is my heels slide a bit, but this is probably because my feet are too narrow. It’s a common problem I have with shoes. Great everyday sneakers.

Great fit. True to size. I wear a size 13 and these fit nicely. I would recommend buying an additional insert for some more padding. Overall, these are badass.

I bought these because of the movie Sandlot. When I took them out of the box, they looked...different. The toe cap is very small and the ridges on the toes are large. I think I'm just used to how Converse look. The shoes are cool but a little too narrow for me. Bummer.

Great comfortable shoe. Light, and durable canvas. I tour with a band profesionally and these shoes not only look the part, but can hold up to many miles on the road. This is my 4th pair of PF Flyers and will continue to sport this shoe.
