PF Flyers vs Pro Keds vs Converse (Jack Purcell). Laces: Pro Keds and PF Flyers use cotton laces. Converse uses nylon laces, which don't like to remain tied. So I replaced them. How can you have a "vintage" shoe and use nylon laces?! Width: I have wide Samoan feet so I would rank the PF Flyers as being the widest at the toes, then the Pro Keds, and lastly the Converse. Softness of footbed: All three are about the same. The differences are really minor. Looks: Personally I like the way the Jack Purcells look best - just a pair of blue and white sneakers. But the painfully narrow toe box on the Converse makes the PF Flyers my overall winner, with the Pro Keds a close second.

A pretty good all-around shoe. Wore it for close to a year, but at around 8 months, the inside sides of the uppers began to tear open where they meet the flex point of the soles. Most canvas shoes I've owned haven't done this.

Love them! I bought these in Navy. They are great! Really comfy. Just a heads up… I usually wear between a 9 1/2 - 10 in women’s and got these in a 9 1/2 and they fit perfectly.

Move over, Chuck Taylor. PF Flyers have never disappointed me. I have a pair of Center Lo's and Number 5's. Unlike those, the Bob Cousy doesn't have a removable insole. As a result, the cushioning and arch support feels more firm and supportive. They were comfy right out of the box. No break-in time was needed. Also, the fabric inside the heel is suede. I would recommend going up a half-size from your normal shoe size.

Comfortable and durable sneakers. They have that close, low cut canvas style that is similar, yet unique compared to Converse All Stars.

The quintessential summer shoe. Perfect sytle, perfect true-to-size fit, perfect all-day comfort. I'm on my feet most of the day at work. I don't event give my feet a thought! I also ordered another pair in 'natural'. PF Flyers are my favorite brand of foot wear. (We need more colors!) Thank you Zappos for your superior customer service, your return/exchange policy, your efficiency. You are the best shoe company out there!
