First, these are beautiful shoes, and I love the "Fast Girls Unite" logo on the heel. However, if you have a wider foot like I do, you will struggle to get these shoes on your feet. They are designed to slip on your feet, and have a closed lacing system that you can loosen or tighten. Even with them as loose as possible, it still takes a lot of work to get them on. Once on, they fit like a glove, but there is no way to wear socks with these. They are just that tight. I wanted to love them so much that I used them for a 2 mile run but my feet were numb in some places due to the tightness across the forefoot and in the heel. If you have narrow feet these will probably work great, but for those with wider feet, these May not work for you.

I was having problems with heel blisters from a pair of Pearl Izumi's that were two years old. I loved everything else about them. I received these 3-4 weeks ago and I am very impressed with the fit and the performance. I have no blisters and I love the look.

I'm a high-mileage runner focused on mountain/trail ultras, and I'm also now happily on my fourth consecutive pair of these shoes. After moving incrementally toward less and less shoe with another brand, I went too minimal and my feet were feeling pretty beat up on rocky technical trails and races longer than 50k. I then shifted toward a bit more shoe that would be forgiving on my body in the late miles of an ultra when my form degrades. The Pearl Izumi Em Trail N2 had pretty much everything I was looking for: relatively light, sufficient cushioning for ultras, moderate heel-toe drop, a wider forefoot that accommodates my foot comfortably, and neutral support (no major arch or posting). I wore a single pair of these shoes continuously for a 100k ultra with 41k feet of total elevation change and had nary a black toenail or blister. My only critique is that the sole tread doesn't handle very muddy conditions well and the sole material doesn't have great traction on wet rocks and wet tree roots, but that's a known sacrifice when you trade a stickier sole for a more durable one like this shoe has.

I had high hopes for this cycling shoe. I own some Pearl Izumi gloves with this same color pattern, so I thought it would be cute to have a matching set, and these were on sale. The shoes are pretty comfortable and adjustable. They also would work well if you needed to hike a bike. They fit true to the Pearl Izumi size chart (I wear 9.5 in athletic shoes, these fit in a 42). However, I found it annoying to have to undo the velcro anytime I wanted to adjust the laces. Also, my feet are low-volume, narrow heel, normal toe box. I found the toe box area on this shoe a bit too tight once my feet swelled from exercising, which is a deal breaker. I sent them back.

These are really comfortable and really breathable. Your feet aren't going to get too hot in these. They will let in a bit of dirt if it's dusty out but it's not bad and breathability is definitely worth the trade off. And they look so cool.

Nice and light with great arch and heel support. I had to go from my usual size 9 because they were too tight to a size 9.5 which fit great lengthwise but was a little looser in the toe box than what I like. I am a little concerned of blisters from a looser side to side fit due to having to go to a 1/2 size larger. I plan to keep these because but have some reservations on this pair. I really like PI and was successful in the past getting shoes in size 9 that fit perfectly. I wonder what changed?

I bought this insole system for my new Pearl Izumi cycling shoes as the factory insoles weren't substantial enough for me. These insoles worked great right out of the box. The arch support and the wedge both fit in nicely and provided the support I was looking for. I would definitely recommend these if you have Pearl Izumi shoes, but I'm not sure how they would work in other shoes. It would also be nice if these came standard in Pearl Izumi shoes.

Shoe were a good fit, and provide good support and cushion when running. However, you must wear socks the interior lining is not smooth and soft. You will get a blister if you like to wear running shoes with no socks beware.

I really wanted to like this style, but it is the most uncomfortable shoe I have purchased. I run 40-50 miles a week and usually run in New Balance Minimus. If you are used to a very flexible shoe, you may not like the eMotion series. It is very stiff, and at least for me it was not an easy on shoe, especially if you really do use this in a tri setting. If your feet are slightly wet, forget it. It's designed to wear sockless, but I had lots of issues with blisters around the ankle. I ran in them enough that I don't feel, good about returning them. I would recommend you try them on in person before ordering.

I just got these running shoes. I am a neutral runner and have, for the last year or two, modified my gait from a heel strike to mid foot strike. I have worn nearly every shoe from the thick soled Mizuno Wave Prophecy to the NB Minimus. This shoe I ordered in my normal size and it fit me with ample room in the toe box (maybe slightly loose but I have very bony feet) but felt fine at the end of 9 miles. The lack of seams in the shoe feels wonderful! You can feel the air circulate in the shoes, which is awesome for hot summer runs. These shoes have enough cushion for me and arch support was moderate. I have high arches and, though they didn't push up into my arches, they were supportive when I ran. The bright pink is so pretty! I only took one star off overall because they are heavier than my Newton Distance U (which I also love).

I ordered my usual size and had to return them for a half-size larger, but am very happy with the final result (and Zappos, of course, was a joy to work with). I like the easy adjustability of the three velcro straps -- it allows me to leave the toe box loose while strapping in tightly on the upper two.

These shorts are very comfortable. If you want a bike short with less length in the leg they are perfect. They do ride up some but that is likely because of the length. They are perfect for spinning class but I would not take them on a 3 hour bike ride. They could also use a drawstring at the waist. Overall a great short for working out in the gym and short rides.

Very comfortable sneaker. Lots of room in the toe box. Fashionable. Feels more like a shoe...not heavy or clumsy looking. Highly recommend. Wish they made one in white for the summer. First time purchasing this brand.

I usually wear a 46. I ordered a 48 and my toes could feel the end of the shoes. They seem like nice shoes but they are very under sized! I guess I cannot speak to the durability of performance since my feet will never fit even with thin socks.

These are great shoes for the money and they fit well right out of the box. I did spring for the 1:1 Insole System in addition and the insoles fit in quite nicely. The stock insole offers some longitudinal support but overall it's not substantial. The sole on these shoes is really stiff and the styling is sharp. I'm glad I switched to these.

These are wonderful! Now on my second pair. Not that the first pair has worn out, I just wear them so much I needed a choice. I am 64 years old and need a good sturdy shoe, without too much sole. I get so many compliments!

Nice shrug for yoga. Good for running or walking on a chilly day. I slip it on when at home too. Great all-around piece to add to your wardrobe.

I had a pair of Pearl Izumi shoes which I thought I could not find a way to ride in. When I was much younger I broke my ankle and have lost a slight portion of the range of motion. That was leading to having a hot spot on the outside of that foot despite a great foot bed in the shoes. Being able to fine tune with these footbeds allowed me to keep the shoes with no more issues.

So comfortable! I have tried on 20+ pairs of trail running shoes which I will use for both hiking and trail running and these are the best. These have plenty of room in the toe-box, keep my heel in place, are squishy, don't "adjust" your foot in any way, and are lightweight. The back/sides aren't cut high, so they don't cut into your foot. Great for people who feel their feet are fine just as they are (humans did evolve to form the feet we have today!) and want a lightweight shoe. Winner!

Remarkable out-of-the-box comfort for running shoes. Pearl Izumi makes excellent gear, and these shoes are no exception.
