I love this shoe! I daily walk three miles on rough and irregular terrain, and these shoes provide lateral support to keep my feet from slipping over the edge of the sole on hilly ridges. They also have great arch support, and after three miles my knees do not hurt; other shoes are not as good in this arena. Incredibly lightweight, too. Had to buy a half size larger than usual for a good fit. Now, if they only last given rough wear, I will never buy any other brand.

Really liked the style of the shoe, but it runs a little narrow in the toe box, and is all around a pretty narrow shoe. I have a rather narrow foot, and never usually encounter this problem.

Bought for spin class to replace 3 year old pearl Izumi, they fit exactly the same I buy a 41 in pearl Izumi bike shoes and I am a true 8 1/2 in regular shoes. So they run a size small. My foot is on the more narrow side and these fit perfectly.

I have gone through numerous shoes...styles, brands...but I always come back to these! I have pins in both feet, but with these shoes...it makes all things possible! Always and forever a supporter!

Bought the shoes for spin class. Shoes fit great! Installed SPT clips with no problem. Lots of compliments.

I was skeptical about purchasing a pair of cycling shoes online without trying them on. However, the sales associate who helped me over the phone was very nice and helpful and assured me that if they didn't fit I could return or exchange them with no hassle. I tried them on when they arrived and they fit nicely. They were a little snug, but I knew like with any sneaker they would give after using them a few times, and they did. They are very comfortable and a good selection. I highly recommend them!

I am very happy with these shoes. They fit the same as my previous Pearl Izumi's except these are a little wider which I like.

Oh shoes, where have you been all my life?! I love these shoes. I have a really wrecked right foot due to a car accident, and finding workout or running shoes that don't completely tear my foot up is next to impossible. These are great. I ordered a 1/2 size up for my bad foot, but I can still lace the other shoe tightly enough that it's not too loose or floppy. (For everyone with 'normal' feet of equal size, I'd say these are true to size & true to width.) I should say, too, that I am not a hardcore outdoor runner, but use these to run & fast walk indoors on a treadmill. They give my high-arched feet plenty of support, are lightweight enough to not feel like cumbersome bricks on my feet, and as an added bonus they look great. They immediately replaced the far less comfortable Asics, Under Armour, and Nike running shoes that have all been relegated to dog-walking-only status.

I really love my new shoes! I would just advise everyone to learn the meaning of the number and letter of this brand. I lucked out but if you need more arch support for example there is a # for you.

Started to take spin classes a couple times a week and decided it was time to invest in more appropriate shoes other than my cross trainers. So glad I did. Now that I can clip in I'm much more efficient. Super cute too!

The elastic at top does not secure the leg warmer in place. It took around 15 second for it to fall below the knee. Was unable to keep is secure at all. I've used leg warmers in the past that stayed in place. This was a complete disappointment.

Great fit for cycling, but heel slips a LOT when walking. Pearl Izumi specifically claims that this shoe is designed for BOTH cycling and hiking. I wouldn't be able to walk 100 yards before getting a blistered heel.

They fit great. These are warm weather gloves that have enough mesh to keep your hands cool. They are showing signs of wear after 5 two hour rides.

I was new to this brand when I decided to buy these shoes, based on research that told me they fit like other running shoes I've worn for years (Asics GT 2100 series and Asics Gel Kayano). I got these because I wanted to run trails. I absolutely love them. I wore them on a six mile trail run first day with no chafing or anything and have continued to love pretty much everything about them. They are incredibly comfortable, super cute - highly recommend. Only negative I found was that the mesh over my big toe wore down and tore way before the shoes were ready to be retired. They were still wearable, but it was annoying to look at. Still, I'm buying them again.

These shoes are very comfortable. They are great for those who may not use clip in pedals though they are designed for those as well. Order half a size larger than your normal shoe size.

Great shoes for spin. I generally wear a 9.5 regular shoe and needed size 42.5 - other brands I would try 42 and they were way too small and 43 would be huge - these fit great and were one of the only brands I found that offered half sizes. They look nice, too. I also like that it is all Velcro S the laces on some cycling shoes are cumbersome. My husband was able to install the cleats that we purchased from our local bike shop easily on the bottom of the shoes. Highly recommended!

I love these shoes! The style is great, and the stability is even better. It is hard to find a lightweight stability shoe, and this one is not only lightweight it is comfortable and goes the distance. I could run all day in these shoes. If I had to order them again, I would go a half size bigger as they are a tad snug.

I bought these shorts specifically for use in spin class. They are very comfortable and provided good padding where I need it without looking like I have a diaper on. I suggest checking for your size using the sizing chart on the Pearl Izumi website.

These shoes seem well made with good structure. The sole foam is fairly uniform with a very good tread for trails. The toe box could be a tad wider for my wide forefoot so I don't know yet if it'll meet the demands of 20 miles of trail and gravel road without giving me blisters. The shoes are wide enough back by the first lace but then narrow quickly at the tip of the toe. I'd like these will be my trail shoes for an ultramarathon so hopefully there will be enough cushioning to stay comfortable for the long miles.

First, the customer service I received on this shoe from Zappos was beyond their normal level of awesome. Hats off to them for fixing an order mix up and hitting back to back next day deliveries free. Pearl Izumi has become my favorite line of shoes. I'm a trail runner averaging about 20-25 miles weekly with the intent of increasing to marathon levels in the next 4-5 months. This shoe is currently perfect for my long distance trail runs of about 8-10 miles. The fit is near perfect, it's light, and the ride is exceptionally smooth. I'm a flat footed fore-mid foot striker and this shoe makes my stride feel incredibly efficient. Even with an ongoing achilles tendonopathy issue-- the 1mm drop leaves my tendon feeling like new while all of my other low drop shoes leave me with about 2 days recovery for pain and stiffness. It must be something in Pearl Izumi's dynamic offset design that contributes to a run that is much easier on the body. The sole is a perfect compromise between cushioning and firmness. Day one in the shoe felt a little stiff, but it has since broken in very nicely. No hotspots whatsoever. There are a few very minor downsides to this shoe which I can live with but are worth mentioning: First, the shoe is not odor resistant. The last two trails I've hit involved either crossing through streams or splashing through puddles. Even after a thorough rinse-off, there is definitely some pond-like funk that remains. Second, the color schemes available on Zappos are not to my liking. Subjective, sure, but PI offers other color combinations that I would love to see carried by Zappos. Last, I had one post-rain trail outing where I picked up way too much mud (as in pounds per foot), and no amount of grass skiing or stomping was effective in its removal. I was going through heavy clay puddles so it was to be expected-- but there was no degree of self cleaning in the lug system. It cut my run short. Granted, I didn't have this experience in a more recent wet run, so it could have been the clay that was previously encountered on the trail. Overall, this is a brilliantly designed shoe that is worth trying if you are a trail runner. The N1 along with the racing N0 have made me a Pearl Izumi convert. Will likely pick up a few more pairs as they are marked down for the release of the 2015 versions.

I am currently having a love affair with this shoe and my wife just found out during a 10k race this weekend. It's okay because I was able to PR with the shoe and can't nobody be mad at that. This has to be my all time favorite shoe for racing and tempo/speed work. It's soft as a slipper, light, nimble, and despite having achilles tendonopathy issues -- leaves my legs and tendons feeling healthy and ready for another day of running. Despite being a racing flat, I find the cushion and support to be surprisingly perfect. This is coming from a flat footer. There is really nothing bad to be said here...other than the short sole life which I have only read about (and have yet to experience). At only 20 miles in, I hope to get a few more 10ks and 6 months of speed work in before retiring them. I am seriously considering getting a few more pairs. My favorite racing flat hands down.
