An extraordinarily comfortable and flattering shoe. I have a foot that is hard to fit (wide with with a narrow heel). I can wear an 8 or 8.5 in a W or WW depending on the particular cut/style of the shoe. In this case the size that fit me best was the 8.5 W. Like another reviewer noticed, the shoe box was shallow, so I wanted some distance between my toes and the front end of the shoe, hence the 8.5 length. I found that the WW ran a bit wide, and because of the soft material, it would probably stretch, so I chose the W. Having the shoe a bit more snug on the sides, kept my feet from moving to the shallow end of the toe box. The strap around the heel is slightly elasticized and keeps my narrow heel from slipping out. I was able to get a perfect fit in a very comfortable shoe in a style I really like. Thank you Zappos for your excellent selection and service!!
