These boots are out of this world! I have huge issues trying to find comfortable shoes of any kind. When my feet are measured they always say 12 med. What a croc. No way are those wide enough. Even EE are almost always too narrow. It's an ordeal finding anything even remotely comfortable. Then I needed work boots on short notice and ordered these. I originally ordered 12 4E but they were actually to large. I couldn't believe it. Returned them for 11.5 4E and I couldn't believe it. Most comfortable shoe (of any kind) I've ever owned. Wear these all the time. My wife ask me why I'm wearing them to the super center. I say because I'll walk a lot and want to be comfortable! More comfort than my running shoes. Soft supple leather. No steel toe. Absolutely fantastic. Actually wore these to Universal Studios and Disneyland because I wanted to be comfortable. Can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommended!

The fit is good. This was my first time buying something from zappos, and I feel like I was mislead. The boots seem shorter than I anticipated. After having had the boots for a week, and worn them extensively, I finally realized that there are two (2) different models of Dunham 8000 Mid Boots; one with four eyes and one with five. I looked at these boots for weeks before deciding to buy them from zappos. It seems like maybe zappos is the only distributor selling the four eyelet model. I expected to get the five eyelet boot, but didn't even recognize there were two models. I feel like I was misled.

Just got these and put them on, very comfortable and light. As a contractor who is on his feet all day doing manual labor, the lightness of this shoe will allow for more productivity as I wont be dragging extra shoe weight all day. This will be especially important in the last hour. Will update in three months about durability.

These boots fit well and benefit from the New Balance technology, so I expect they will serve me well. The only lack is arch support. Out of the box, it feels like there is not really any arch support. But I think this may be by design. The boots come with a minimal orthotic insert, which is removeable. I believe that the intention is that the customer will purchase an appropriate insert to replace the one that the boots come with. I use the orthotics from my old boots (another brand) that are worn out, and they work just fine in these new boots.
