I am a woman who has looked for reasonably priced penny loafers for women for the last 2 years. When none were forthcoming, I looked at the size charts and found that a W8.5 would be a M7, so I ordered these shoes in a M7. With very thin socks, they slip, but when changing socks to a thicker make, they were perfect. I love these shoes---all leather with reasonable arch support and total comfort!

These are nice shoes and look very good. I returned this pair because of fit. As advice, I offer this review. I'm a borderline 9 1/2 Medium to 10 Medium, usually leaning toward the 10 M. I liked the shoes' look right out of the box, but trying them on I found they were a little too long for me. Additionally, because of the stiffness of the sole, along with the length, they tended to slip up and down on my heel. Otherwise, they were keepers. As a note, I tried the same shoe in 9 1/2 M and they fit nicely, after a short break-in period. So, if you are between 9 1/2 and 10 I hope this helps.

I have had Florsheim shoes for some time. I like the looks of the "Bentley" model. The main problem I had with them was that I would wear-out the sole which was a soft leather. Then I discovered the "Bentley Flex" model with a synthetic sole. I will probably wear these forever. I have a high instep and a wide foot, so this model of Penny Loafer fits great.
