Love the look of these shoes. They look great. Unfortunately, you can smell them from a mile away. Reviewers on Zappos and elsewhere stated that they smell like they were dipped in gasoline, but I thought I'd see for myself. Big mistake. I tried airing them out, but it seems as though the overwhelming stench these shoes emit is embedded in the leather.

This is a great looking pair of shoes. 15EE fit perfectly. The leather was a little stiff but nothing out of the ordinary. So why did I return them? They stink! These shoes smell like moth balls soaked in gasoline. The smell was so strong I had to put them in the garage because we could not sleep with them in the house. Awful. The interwebs claim that this smell will not dissipate, so I returned them.

The finish on these shoes has not held up. I have purchased the same shoes several times before and not had this issue. It might just be a bad batch, but after a couple weeks, these look terrible despite me trying to polish them.

A wonderful shoe! I wear a wide and often complain of pain on the right side of my foot (maybe a past break that never healed or a stress fracture from the way I walk, who knows). But this shoe, in a wide, gives me support and style all day without discomfort. The shoes fit true to size. I wear a 12 medium and usually will wear a 11.5 wide, but this 12 wide fit perfectly. The break or toe cap on the shoe is stylish and functional. It's a pet peeve of mine that my dress shoes quickly develop a line or wrinkle in the leather across the bridge of the shoe where the shoe bends a little as I walk. The toe cap's stitched line on this shoe hides that unseemly leather wrinkle and adds to the value of this shoe for me because it extends the shoe's wear-life. The brown trimmed sole is a nice touch. I receive compliments on this shoe any day I wear it to the office. The men folk there have an unofficial fashion contest to see who can dress better than the "cool" guy in the next office over who apparently has abandoned any hopes of contributing to his 401k and instead invests in high-end, personally tailored clothing. So, we compete daily to be the runner up in this contest. These shoes have helped me win more than once. A great shoe for the value.
