These boots are made of gorgeous, soft suede and the lace-up detail in the back is fabulous and I would have absolutely loved them in the soft gray color, however, the distressing was totally wrong and the curve of the toe does not have enough lift up so it looks frumpy instead of flattering. Why, why do designers feel the need to ‘distress’ perfectly beautiful boots?!?!?! My son said ‘it looks like you stepped in something ‘ and he is right. If people want this look, they can diy it easily. For the rest of us who prefer our $200 boots to look clean and new, the designed distressing is a nope-ugh! It wasn’t that noticeable in the pictures I originally saw of the gray boots so I was surprised by how prominent it is. The heel and toe are smudge almost black. You can imagine what it looks like you stepped in :( That combined the the bulbous toe box (low and almost flat like clown shoes) makes your leg and the whole outfit look frumpy and made this a big, disappointing ‘no’ for me. I really loved the perfect gray color of the suede and the gorgeous satin-like leopard print lining and the fun, sexy lace-up back. And they were super comfortable I just couldn’t live with the distressed toe and heel and the weird toe box. I really wish they would make this without the distressing and give it a more rounded toe because I really wanted to keep these. I usually a 6 or 6 and 1/2. I ordered a 6 because at the time the 6 wasn’t available. I’m pretty sure I could have worn a 6 and now that the 6 is available I might have ordered it but I just can’t get past the smudged blackened (unnecessary) distressing. Ugh. So sad.

Love! These are so great! It is tough to find a boot to fit my slim calves. The largest part of my calf measures 13”. I swim in most boots and hate the way it looks & feels. These are adjustable so can fit in a legging or a jean. The leather is thick but soft & flexible. I still can’t believe they are waterproof but it says so everywhere.

such cute boots however even with the adjustable laces in the back of the boot they still would not be able to fit my skinny jeans tucked in them comfortably..i have medium size calves and the fit was snug just on my bare legs...they would have worked if i was just planning to wear them with dresses but i wanted to wear them with pants tucked into them..i feel these boots would best fit someone with small calves..

These boots are super cute, I had great hopes for them but was disappointed. I'm short (5' 2") with a slightly wide calf. The suede is soft enough that the height of the boot was not an issue, but the laces that are supposed to make the width of the shaft adjustable were IMPOSSIBLE. I couldn't get them right.
