A comfortable shoe. I bought it before a week-long trip to Paris, knowing I'd be walking a lot. It was comfortable from the get-go, required no breaking-in, and still looks brand new after a eight consecutive days of wear. It's not my wife's favorite style, given the rubber sole - makes it look a little like a coach's loafer - but she's the one with blisters, not me.

J&M shoes tend to run narrow, but even in a 3E, I felt I was going to blow out the sides of this shoe. Too bad, because it's a really good looking loafer and appears well made. If you have a wide foot, this likely won't work for you. Hate to return it, but must.

It's notable that a comfortable wide shoe for a guy that does not like dress shoes or dress socks-these hit the mark... They are not heavy or light, they are somewhere in the middle as to weight. They are for a special occasion and have not been worn for any amount of time yet. They are not so fancy that they can't be worn with jeans, though he scoffed at that. It seemed pretty great that he said "feels more like a slipper" than those old ones I have. Winner winner in my book. Perhaps since three pairs were ordered it should be mentioned that the price was not revealed. The goal was shoes he did not dread :) .
