have been using my mandoline slicer since recieving it and can safely say it is a great buy. got to be careful though because it is sharp. good thing it has a protective piece that goes over the blade. i would buy from zappos again.

The slicer is too small i.e. it should be about 1/2 inch wider and about 1 inch longer. Also, the max slice thickness is 1/8 inch and is uneven side to side. The max cut was 1/8 on one side and 1/16 on the other.

I've worked with Mandolines for years and this little treasure is beyond good. It is absolutely delightful for meals at home. I'm finding ways to use it with almost every meal I cook now. The beautiful Brussel Spouts were perfectly sliced; the paper thin garlic slices and ginger slices made stir fries unbelievable; the shallots were perfect for the salad. It will be my favorite hostess gift; stocking stuffer; shower basket gift for a long while to come.
