  • Women's Convertible Bug Button Hat by SpyderPosted: Oct 28, 2009Reviewer: Alison M from ConnecticutOverall: 4 StarsComfort: 5 StarsLook: 5 Stars
This is a really cute hat. I can tell it is going to be warm and I love the little visor on it to help block the sun. I do have one small complaint. The visor seems to be made out of thin cardboard, so I'm not sure if it is going to get soggy on me and then end up falling apart over use. I hope not, especially for the price I paid. I think they should have made the visor in a thin flexible plastic instead to ensure long wear and such. Other than that, I really like it. Zappos was great like usual!
  • PhD Outdoor Light Mini Women's 3-Pair Pack by SmartwoolPosted: Oct 12, 2009Reviewer: Sharon W from Fort Worth, TXOverall: 5 StarsComfort: 5 StarsLook: 5 Stars
Great socks! Very comfortable and wash/dry without shrinking.
  • PhD Outdoor Light Crew 3-Pair Pack by SmartwoolPosted: Mar 16, 2009Reviewer: Anonymous from New York City, NYOverall: 5 StarsComfort: 5 StarsLook: 5 Stars
The only socks I will ever buy! Pricey but worth every penny - I was first introduced to Smartwool socks about 4 years ago. Since my first pair (which I noted were a pretty penny) I thought I could get by with other pairs purchased from a variety of department stores (read name brand socks). Each of those substitute purchases is now acting as a dust rag in my cleaning kit at home. Smartwool socks are THE best investment you can ever make for your feet, especially if you know that it takes you a while to break in shoes and get blisters from breaking them in. I just ordered six pair and if you follow the instructions on how to wash them (I didn't on the first pair I got) they last and keep their "huggy" feel.
  • Lightweight Outdoor Lace-Up by RykaPosted: Jan 4, 2009Reviewer: Anonymous from San Francisco, CaliforniaOverall: 3 StarsComfort: 3 StarsLook: 5 Stars
Could be more comfortable - I bought the pair in navy and grey. They are very cute shoes. At first, I used them for walking mainly but not so much anymore. I always get a blister on the area behind my right ankle from the back of the shoe rubbing against it. I do notice a thicker padding on the right side more so than the left. The shoes fit me just right and are not too tight. The thicker padding on the back of the right shoe could be causing the blisters. Otherwise it is comfortable elsewhere.
  • XGS Outboard (Toddler) by Sperry KidsPosted: May 1, 2008Reviewer: Abe W from NYOverall: 5 StarsComfort: 5 StarsLook: 5 Stars
I LOVE IT, IT IS WORTH THE MONY! I am on my third pair of Sperry Outboards. They rule, get them to see what I mean.
  • Exit Sport by SalomonPosted: Apr 18, 2008Reviewer: Hepcat from ArizonaOverall: 3 StarsComfort: 3 StarsLook: 3 Stars
Pretty good... I would not recommend these shoes for long trails (4mi+) or people with higher arches. These are not as cushy as other Salomon shoes. I will say the rubber is sticky on the soles and are good if your forefoot is wider.

About Outdoors

The outdoors can be anything you want them to be. Backpack along a well-known hiking trail using KEEN® bags and shoes or venture into the forest for an overnight excursion with friends. Take on watersports with non-skid Sperry Top-Sider® boating shoes or go kayaking with the breathability and protection of Salomon® shoes. Maybe you prefer to go all-in with your water sports. Embark on a swimming adventure that spans rivers, oceans, and seas or simply enjoy the water like you did as a youth! Whatever activity you choose, Zappos has everything you need to outfit all the men, women, boys and girls in your life.

Avid climbers can triumph over mountains with boots and shoes from The North Face® (or TNF for you outdoor lovers). Browse thousands of ice climbing boots, mountaineering shoes, bouldering shoes, gym climbing shoes, and rock climbing boots. If you'd rather take the ground approach, Teva® sandals provide traction both in and out of the water. Dayhikers should bring along backpacks, hydration packs, and trekking poles when out on the trails. Don't forget to layer clothing in case the temperature changes during your hike. Hit the trail running in J-41™ shoes and sandals and layer up with tanks, t-shirts, jackets, and vests from Columbia® and Patagonia®.

For a longer outdoor getaway, pack your overnight camping accessories and grab the kids for the ultimate camping trip. Bring along cozy sleeping bags and tents and roast some marshmallows over the open fire, or grill up a feast on your travel stove. Remember to pack your camo and big game boots in case you feel like hunting your own meals. If you'd rather hunt using a rod and a reel, then tackle your weekend with a fly fishing or ice fishing trip!

Most importantly, just get out there and have a good time. Being outside is a chance for you to be one with nature. For some of you, it's a chance to conquer something greater than yourself. So go and enjoy everything that this earth has to offer!
