Sweet looking shoes. Love the velcro. A classic that’s rare these days. Found them to be very roomy and true to size. Don't have much cushioning or contouring to foot shape, so think about size when installing a sole.

These are some very stylish sneakers. They definitely aren't for serious sporting activity (they don't have much support) but they are great for just casual everyday wear. They are very lightweight and breathable also, so they are very comfortable (especially in hot summer weather).

Almost 2 years old...very, very durable shoes. I ordered these shoes just about 2 years ago. They are a mocha and brown color. Just to follow up I still wear them and they are great. I wore these bad boys to the Dominican for a summer trip last year and abused the snot out of them. I wore them after getting out of the pool, along the beach and even to a concert. Initially I was worried about the leather shrinking or becoming damaged but that never happened. I have also run a few times in these but that was extremely uncomfortable...but they aren't meant for running. The heel is a slightly darker color now from wear and the toe area shows creases but the rest of the shoe is fine. I love Zappos and I have been checking back periodically for new Tai Chi colors but white is all that is available. :(

Love them! Cute, comfy, and not bulky...precisely what I look for in a sneaker. Not as much support as the Ultimate 81's, which I also own, but very comfortable and lightweight.

Cute and comfortable - These shoes fit like a sock, no slipping at all. They are light and nimble. They don't have much support or cushioning, however, and they are pretty hot. Also, they are oddly slippery on vinyl. Other than that, I love them! Men's sizes are a bit weird. I ended up getting a size larger than recommended.

Wish it was more girly - Great shoe for women too. I wish they had more colors that were more gender appropriate. I picked up the shoe in Birch/India Ink/Latte. It matches my dark jeans and is great for running errands/going to class. I'm hoping the leather is more water resistant than the canvas shoe would be. I ordered the white canvas/white but it looks like a cheerleading shoe, so I returned it! Overall so comfy and good support.

I have been completely in love with Ultimate 81s for about 5 years. Literally the only sneaker I've bought in that time frame (4 pairs). They're incredibly comfortable immediately, and only get better with age. They're light, flexible, and they last forever (my original pair is, though worse for wear, still intact and wearable). It's like you're barely wearing shoes at all. They're great for standing and walking tons, and I've even hiked in them. The colors are amazing, and I've always had tons of comments on them. I only wish I could customize them like Nike IDs.

I bought the green/white/silver version. The green looks lighter and more "forest"-like than in the photo. I am a little unsure about the quality. They are slightly larger than my Asics Gel Nimbus but I think one half-size down would be too small. A little more cushioning would have been nice.

These shoes are absolutely funky-looking, but lacking in support. Lightweight, breathable, comfortable, and awesome colors, but if you're accustomed to more support and/or plan on walking a lot in them, beware. If these were as supportive as Saucony Jazz, they'd be the greatest sneakers around. Add some cushioning, Asics, please.

Look awesome, takes some breaking in - Based off the other reviews, I knew these would hurt a little when first wearing them. The big toe bit is true, but for me it is only a problem on the right foot, guess that is just me. If you like how they look, know that they will take some breaking in. Also I wear orthotic inserts but they don't really work in this sneaker, they lift me up a little too high causing my heels to slide out of the shoe when walking. So far it hasn't been a problem not wearing my inserts with this pair though.

This is my third pair of Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81 shoes. I am a huge fan and will continue to purchase these shoes as long as possible. My oldest is around a year and a half old now. All have maintained good condition, though support does wear down over time and use. I love these shoes. They are bright, different, and exceptionally light and comfortable. I stand all day at work, and I find that these shoes can get me through an 8 hour shift or a walk around the park with ease. They look great with jeans, workout clothes, and scrubs. They are perfect for summer because they are very light and the fabric exterior is very breathable. Also, I've never had trouble with any of these shoes rubbing uncomfortably or causing blisters since they are soft. These aren't athletic shoes and wouldn't be good for weight lifting, but for working, walking, or just looking great, they fit the bill!

I am a hardcore Asics Onitsuka fan. I bought my first pair probably in 2004, and I've owned 5-6 pairs. This is the first pair I've ordered that did not fit. I think Asics started making this specific style of shoe in a different way. I want to say that the shoes used to be mainly made from suede. I'm sort of shocked that everyone said the shoes fit true to size. I've never had issues with Asics (either running styles or Onitsuka) fitting before, but I guess these are not the older suede versions. I say they fit differently. I am re-ordering them a whole size down. It seems very strange. I do agree that they're very nice and stylish- and on the compliment getting.

Give them a week and you'll never take them off - I got blisters on the backs of my heels in the first week of wearing these shoes, but it might not be entirely because of the shoes (it rained, so they got a bit wet and probably chafed). After they broke in a bit, they became super comfortable. I walked about a billion miles in them on vacation and they held up just fine. The size felt right, the colors were spot on, and they're really light. Several times now, I have gotten them fairly wet by accident, and since they are mesh on the top by the toes, my socks got wet immediately. However, they were quick to dry and they didn't get funky. The only reason I want to order new shoes so soon is not because they are worn out, but because there are so many awesome color variations available that I want another pair!

I LOVE Asics! I got these shoes in the Peacock/Silver color and I will admit they are shinier than expected, but they do add spunk to your feet, and are super cute with a pair of dark denim jeans! This is my 2nd pair of Asics, and they are so comfortable, these shoes have great arch and heal support. These shoes are terrific for walking the dog!

Comfort and Fit - These Tiger's are a lightweight low-profile sneaker, with great fit, good cushioning and some arch support as well. They are well ventilated and quite comfortable for walking. I'm a size 12, and it's difficult to find truly well made, good fitting shoes. These are great.

Great for looks, but needs more comfort - This shoe looks great, but is really only good for that. I was hoping for a comfortable and stylish shoe to wear to my work where I stand a lot. My feet were killing me before I put in some new insoles. Besides that, I love how light the Ultimate 81s are. They really wrap around your feet and don't feel clunky at all. Asics really does need to invest in a little more padding on the insoles. They do seem to run a half size smaller than I usually wear.

Apprehensive at first, satisfied in the end - When I first put these on, I was a little sad that they weren't going to fit. The top toe part was a little snug, just above my big toe knuckle. After a few hours of wearing though, they loosened up. Now, they are my most comfortable pair of shoes, and I plan on ordering at least another pair. So great.

Decent comfort for a good look - The shoe is not as comfortable as regular running shoe (obviously), and I found the arch supports to feel a little weird at first, but they do the job for walking. They're very light and a good look.

I love Asics. Their shoes always fit the way they are supposed to, and look great, too. I am on my feet all day, 5 days a week, so my last pair of Onitsuka Tigers wore out within two months. Granted, that's heavy duty wear and tear. Otherwise, my Asics of all shapes have always lasted forever. Great shoe--a must!

Great shoe, but for limited activities - If all you're interested in is a shoe to walk and stand around in, this shoe is great. It's almost like wearing slippers. Very light, flexible, and breathable. This is not like wearing a regular running or cross training shoe, nor is it like a heavy pair of skate shoes. I'm concerned it won't last very long because of how light it is, but time will tell. Overall very comfy and stylish for walking around town and driving, but don't even think about running or sports with these.

Less support, but still a comfy shoe... Although this shoe doesn't offer as much support as most, it is still fairly comfortable... and you get used to the feel within a few wears... Obviously, these are ridiculously stylish pieces of footwear for the price; a Mondo-supreme investment!

Not pleased with the shoe. The red denim shoe has sparkles on the shoe. Shoe is not that comfortable. As soon as I opened the box, I knew the shoe would be returned.

Go with the laces - I was intrigued by the velcro because I thought it looked retro, but somehow they are not as comfortable as the version with laces. Maybe they don't stretch as much?

Very pleased! I LOVE Asics Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81! Most shoes hurt somewhere or other, and I can't wait to get out of them. These were comfy all day and night right out of the box. My narrow heels slip up and down in most shoes, but are held well in these. These give decent arch and pronation support, while being blissfully light weight and not stiff. They don't make my feet look big, and as a bonus, they're cute. I highly recommend them.
