Founders Yan Ferry and Ernie Tarut decided to combine Yan’s bootmaking and design skill with Ernie’s years of experience in leather manufacturing to create boots of superior style and quality. Thus Old Gringo was born. The first Old Gringo factory opened in 2000 with a collection of original, vintage and retro styles. These styles bridged the gap between western style and pure fashion.
Every Old Gringo boot goes through one hundred-ten individual steps, performed by skilled craftsman. This is a very time-intensive process, but the consistent application of these skills is required to make a superior quality boot. Old Gringo produces and tans their own leathers in colors, textures and finishes to meet the meticulous demands of their designers. After carefully selecting the finest grade of leather, the leathers undergo a detailed tanning process. Each of the next steps, from cutting the upper materials to assembling the insoles and outsoles are critical in the construction of the perfect boot.

Wow! This boot is one of the most beautiful boots I have ever ordered. It is drop dead gorgeous. They feel great on and look fantastic. Great to wear with leggings or skinny jeans. They are so beautiful I don't want to get them dirty! Buy them! I'm surprised there are any left!

I bought two GaylaRazz boots, one pair in the gray and the brown. Unfortunately the gray boots ran a little small. Old Gringo boots overall are well made and very comfortable with no break in period needed. They are beautiful looking boots but sizing was a little inconsistent.

I love love Old Gringo boots. They are the most stylish, fashionable boot you can buy. If you want to make a statement when you step out, this is the boot. Speaking of comfort they are also the most comfortable because they are made with premium leather. I like the zippers to get on and off easily but I experienced the zipper thing at the ankle that others warned about. I have the grey and the brown in this boot. One pair is worse than the other. I am getting them stretched to see if it helps because I love them. If that doesn't resolve the issue, I will have to return them because I line dance and they have to be comfortable. Zappos is the best company to deal with for any shoe or boot. They make shopping fun and hassle free. I now own 12 pairs of Old Gringo Boots! I will not buy any other boot! Dance Enthusiast!

Adorable! The 2 zippers are handy too. Narrow at first as with most good leather boots. Have to be broken in but then fit like a glove. Not very cushy but you can always put in an insert.

I now own these boots in all three colors crazy but true I love all three thought about returning the grey pair but decided to keep them also.
