Interesting boots. I've worn western boots in the past, but nothing like this. The online photos hinted at a strong design sensibility; a certain je ne sais quoi. The real thing did not disappoint. These are wonderful and uniquely styled boots. Easy to walk in. My only quibble (and it's a small one) is that I prefer effortless style; in other words, a style that looks natural yet is anything but. These boots taper to a fairly sharp point, which makes them longish, and which can look a bit contrived--in my opinion at least. (I'm not losing any sleep over this, and it's not on par with Health Care reform.) Still, although pointy, the boots are very comfortable. I highly recommend this product.

Great boots! Everywhere I go, I get compliments on them. The first night I ever wore them was NYE and danced the night away in New Orleans. They are very comfortable and stylish!

Oh my gosh - these boots are AMAZING. The boots fit true to size and believe me I went to stores locally to try them on to avoid having to hassle with exchanges. These boots have a very pointy toe and are not for everyone but they are perfect for me! I wear them with dresses, skirts, tunic and jeans. The are the best boots and I love that they are 13" rather than lower. You really get what you pay for - again Amazing!

I love these boots! They are so beautiful. They're very comfortable and I get compliments - no, actually, raves - every time I wear them. The sizing chart is a little off. I measured my foot and ordered a nine per the chart, but I really needed an 8 1/2. Of course Zappos took care of me and exchanged them with 2 days. If you're tempted to buy these I say do it - you won't be disappointed.

Rockin' boots. I get lots of compliments. They have a slightly worn look but are still very sharp so you can dress them up or dress them down. One of the more stylish boots I have seen. Keep in mind they run small so it's best to order a 1/2 size bigger than you normally wear.

Although I love these boots, I agree that the fit runs small. I have a narrow foot, and I would recommend that people order 1/2 size bigger than they usually wear. I, however, love the boots and they were hard to get on. Once on, they were very comfortable, and I just love the way that they look.

Great looking boots with good detail print & design. The boot has a aged (matted) look but the leather need to be broken in. The boot is very narrow in width and makes for a very snug/tight fit with or without sweat socks. Trying to get your foot past the boot shaft and into the shoe was also awkward and left a close fit on the top of the foot(throat). A nice looking boot with a poor foot design.

These boots rock! I was more than pleased with the quality and design of these Old Gringo dream boots. I have several pair of Old Gringo and these are my new favorites. The goatskin is just the right amount of broken in and they have the feeling of being made for your foot. The 13 inches isn't too tall, either. I just love them!

This are absolutely the wildest and most eye catching boots that I have purchased. Not for the timid person. I love this style. Old Gringo is quite unique and sets you apart from the rest. These will be worn a lot by this Texas woman.

I love these boots, they are adorable with the orange and purple flowers! I'm not sure that I would call the green color they are turquoise, but I was hoping for the color in the photo and they are definitely closer to that. I have only worn them a few times, but they are very comfortable and have a wonderful worn-in look. I get compliments every time I put them on. My only complaint is that one is a bit tight on the side, but they seem to be improving the more I wear them. I would definitely recommend Old Gringo boots!

Irresistible styling! Tomboy meets shoe queen in this one-of-a-kind fashion hybrid workboot. Sturdy, well-made, and the clever studded detail is adorable. These boots were love at first sight. They are a bit stiff at first, you\'ll need to wear them a couple times to break them in.

I got them about a year ago, and I have been wearing them so many occasions. Like other reviewers, I have received many compliments! Although I wear them quite often, they are still looking very good. I may buy another pair just in case they stop making these. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I have 3 pairs of Old Gringo boots. These are by far the most daring I own! I am fairly conservative but they were pink, I had to have them. Like prior reviewers I was apprehensive about how they would look. Zappos was great. I ordered around noon one day and received by 5 pm the next day! I pulled them out of the box and held my breath. They definitely make a statement (but remember, I am conservative!). I tried them on with my fav jeans and in 5 minutes I was in love! Out of my Old Gringos they fit truest to size (Old Gringo runs 1/2 size big generally). Fit like a glove, no break in period required! And the leather is the softest, a "brushed leather" feel. Worth the money and anxiety! Thanks Zappos!

I got these gorgeous boots yesterday, put them on and wore them like I'd owned them for years. I'm thrilled! They are a bit large in my size, but I put in a Dr Scholl's arch support and they fit like a glove. So comfortable! I've never owned a pair of cowboy boots before and wore these all day long.

I received my boots today and they are kick ass! I heeded the previous reviews and bought a half size smaller and they are absolutely perfect. I feel like I've been wearing them for years, they are so comfortable. The color is great, sort of a non-black that will go with anything. I couldn't be happier!

Another great pair of Old Gringos. This is my third pair of Old Gringos and they are very consistent in quality. The look and fit is excellent. As I've stated in other reviews, if you have a wide foot, go up a half size for a perfect fit. I own other boot brands, but Old Gringo's are by far the best bang for the buck. They look great dressed up or casual. As always it's great dealing with Zappos.

I looked at OG boots for several months before I finally purchased a pair. These are the most comfortable, fashionable boots that I\'ve ever owned. My regular size is great with heavy socks, which is perfect for Pennsylvania winters. So, I would say that they are true to size, but roomy. The soles are slippery, so you need to be careful. They are amazing boots and the leather inside the boot feels like a glove. If you are having trouble deciding to spend the money on these boots, go ahead and buy them. You won\'t be sorry.

About Old Gringo

Old Gringo Since 2000, Old Gringo has been focused on a single goal: combining the best materials with the most highly skilled craftsmen. Beautiful designs and comfort are not accidents. It's all about bonding a time honored handcrafting art and a contemporary flair for fashion. Old Gringo strives to give their customers a product that embodies style and quality.

Founders Yan Ferry and Ernie Tarut decided to combine Yan’s bootmaking and design skill with Ernie’s years of experience in leather manufacturing to create boots of superior style and quality. Thus Old Gringo was born. The first Old Gringo factory opened in 2000 with a collection of original, vintage and retro styles. These styles bridged the gap between western style and pure fashion.

Every Old Gringo boot goes through one hundred-ten individual steps, performed by skilled craftsman. This is a very time-intensive process, but the consistent application of these skills is required to make a superior quality boot. Old Gringo produces and tans their own leathers in colors, textures and finishes to meet the meticulous demands of their designers. After carefully selecting the finest grade of leather, the leathers undergo a detailed tanning process. Each of the next steps, from cutting the upper materials to assembling the insoles and outsoles are critical in the construction of the perfect boot.
