Awesome Stuff right here. I received this as a gift regrettably from the Apple store, but would recommend this to anyone. This was my first IPod and everything was so easy. You really just plug it in and go. It tells you what to do and you get all your favorite songs while counting calories and tracking your workout. Go for it! It is great!!

A fun gimmick - A fun way to add something extra to your workout, but quite honestly, I could have lived without it - and probably wouldn't buy it again.

Very helpful tool - I needed a little something to give me an incentive to work out and this little thing is it! It’s awesome! Helps me set and keep track of my goals online with a history of my workouts at my finger tips. I am very happy I made this very small investment!

A bit of a pain - I bet it would work great if they had an armband that can hold the iPod with the sensor chip attached. I had to cut a slit on the bottom of my current armband just to make it fit. Unfortunately, it would wiggle out every now and then causing a loss of transmission from the shoe to iPod.

Good, but bad - Great function overall, but the fact that you have to buy a totally new sensor when the battery dies is crap. I use it with a holder that affixes to my shoe laces and it works great. The battery lasted only 6 months on my last one and I'm hoping that this one lasts longer.

Shipping faster than the speed of light! So I ordered the Nike+ Ipod Sport Kit last night and received it today. I didn't even pay to upgrade shipping. I was able to test out the kit and it is awesome. Even though Zappos may charge a little more for the kit than if you were to order it from Nike or Apple, it is definitely worth it because you make up the difference with free and extremely fast shipping and no tax.

Awesome to be able to know how many steps you have taken, how long you worked out, how many miles, and minutes and then be able to track it! Very cool. I highly recommend!

The only way to get around Nike\\\'s refusal to design the sensor with a replaceable battery is to shut the thing off after each use. It will only take a minute to do this, and your sensor will last a lot longer.\\r\\nTo shut off, press and hold the little button on the back side of the sensor for 3 seconds. When it comes time to use the sensor again, just press the button again. No need to hold for 3 seconds to turn it on.\\r\\nGet in the habit of doing this, and beat Nike at their own game.

Based up two years of heavy use with this Nike+ product, I would have to say that it comes with some significant issues. It only works at its best when the sensor is placed in Nike+ shoes. If you are planning on using this with the sensor sleeved and attached externally on your shoe note that it may not work properly or at all unless it can be positioned so that it stays flat and close to the ground according to Nike. Even with the sensor in Nike+ shoes, there can still be quite a bit of difference between mileage recorded and the actual mileage traveled. Calibration of the sensor can help with this but typically does not overcome all of the mileage inaccuracy difference. The Nike+ website that receives, collects and displays your workout data is really quirky and can be very frustrating to use. The site is frequently offline and is glitchy at best the rest of the time. It takes some getting used to, and some patience to use. Workouts will frequently get lost in the download process, especially the longer runs. They can be recovered off of the Nano or iPhone if you are technically nimble and can locate them in their hidden file location. This recovery routine while usually doable is not necessarily easy. Lastly there is no way to replace the sensor battery, or to turn the sensor off. So you will burn through the sensors in a few months if you put on the mileage, or simply use the same shoes for wearing around outside of your workouts.

Although it took me longer than expected to get my iPhone 4 to recognize my Nike +,it was well worth the wait. It is awesome. The fact that it shipped and arrived so quickly from Zappos was a great! It is a terrific way to keep track of your fitness progress.

I bought this about a year ago and have been pretty satisfied with the results. My only complaint is that it's not consistent when measuring distance. I ran a mile and got different readings each time. I called Nike support but they said it may be a small gap between the device and the hole in the shoe. But still fairly awesome.

I have been a heavy user of this Nikeplus kit for years, as have three close friends of mine. Two of us can't wear Nike running shoes even though my sister works for Nike here in Oregon and we can shop at the Employee store anytime! Unfortunately my girlfriend and I can't wear Nike plus running shoes so we use the little pocket like things to carry our sensor in attached to our shoe laces and it works just as well! Nike people are so dishonest; they tell you it won't work or won't work as accurate if the sensor is not in a Nike plus shoe. They don't know and could care less! It works just as well in a carrier as it does in a expensive Nikeplus shoe! I know from experience! You have to calibrate it at a marked trail or track but mine and my friend's has been working as accurately as a sensor in a Nikeplus shoe. The sensor can be shut off as I am diligent about shutting mine off with my car key or pen or whatever by holding the button down for two or three seconds it will shut off and I managed to keep using mine for a year at least! Not bad for the price; it's not perfect, what do you expect for the price? You can also buy just the sensor even at Nike outlet stores for less or at Best Buy, etc. I hope "Zappos" will carry the sensor by itself someday as Zappos is the best! But it is a cheap but worthwhile GPS wannabe! You only have to replace the sensor more often if you are not diligent about shutting it off! I don't want to pay a lot for a more perfect GPS! I also have a runner friend who uses his sensor in his Nikeplus running shoes so I know the problems he has and that's how I know the sensors work just as well in a carrier as it does in a Nikeplus shoes!
Brands I'd also recommend: everything else is much more expensive!!

So glad I bought this. Let's you know when you've reached certain distances and when you've conquered certain goals. And it keeps track of your progress online. Great price for a great buy!

This helped take my running to a whole new level! I love the optional vocal prompts and seeing my progress online at the Nike site which is also optional. Just a fun, practical, and motivating product all around. This is really great since I don't have to follow the same old paths to track my distance, this does it all for you.

This is a great way to keep track of mileage and pace for running or walking. Lightweight and easy to use. I definitely needed to calibrate it for me. The default calibration greatly over-calculated distances. But the calibration is easy to do.

No likey. I'm a long distance runner and there is no way to calibrate this for my long runs. The most you can calibrate is 3 miles. It is not accurate enough for me. Went GPS instead.
