Stitching coming apart at the toe of the shoe after 2 weeks of wear. My son typically wears XW, but in this particular shoe he only needed the wide.

We are on our second pair in 3 months, the toes of both shoes keeps ripping out, that is not normal wear, there must be a defect in the make of these shoes. they are wearing way to fast. Its a shame because we love new balance and haven't ever had issues in past purchases, until now, they are really cool looking shoes, and my son loves the ease of getting them on himself, but I do not recommend if you have an active child. Huge props to Zappos for being so great to work with when product issues arise.

This sneaker is true to size and width. Very comfortable for my son, so far very durable.

I am an adult female and I take a size 8 shoe. I always have problems getting athletic shoes that fit me comfortably and properly. This youth size is perfect for me. This is my second pair in a youth size.

This tennis shoes are very comfortable and I was glad I could find them in an XW size for youth. I have been a Zappos customer for almost 10 years now!

Without New Balance our 2-year-old would likely be shoe-less! It is the only brand that fits his wide feet. This is our third pair - only because he outgrew the others. Despite the beating they take, these shoes do not fall apart (unlike other brands we've tried). Don't let the price deter you because they will last!

My daughter has a wide foot and it is hard to find cute shoes that fit. She is so happy with these I bought another pair in a different color for variety. I ll be looking for these shoes in a larger size as she grows.

My daughter has to wear sneakers to school every day. We are on our second pair of the same shoe only because she outgrew the first pair. The quality is great and they have held up really well to a toddler with daily visits to the playground.

We have only had these shoes for about a month and the strap is starting to fray. I will disclose that my 3 year old is particularly tough on everything though, shoes included.

These are sadly disappointing. They have a great fit, cute style and are very comfortable. They instantly became my son's favorite. Unfortunately the seam at the toe came apart rather quickly, as others have mentioned. That really was too bad. They are great shoes, otherwise.

Cute shoe, but they are falling apart already. And he has only had them for less than a month. Bought same style for my daughter and they seem to be holding up fine.

Great sneakers and great colors! These are a big hit with our daughter and fit great. Very comfortable and true to size. Zappos service was a winner as always!

My son is ridiculously hard on shoes. He destroys them before he grows out of them. These New Balance sneakers lasted the longest of any pair of sneakers he's owned. We're on our second pair now. I will keep buying this brand. I also like that New Balance comes in half sizes. Not all kids' sneaks do.

This is the second pair of this shoe we have purchased for our son (in the next size up). He is pretty rough and tumble and usually goes through shoes quickly. These held up so well the first time that we decided to buy another pair!

Horrible. We've had these shoes 1 1/2 months and they already have a hole in the toe and the stitching is coming undone. I was actually getting on Zappos to see if there was a way to return! I do have an active little boy, but I would expect kids shoes to hold up better.

Velcro strap snapped off within 2 weeks of wearing making it impossible to continue wearing the shoe. Additionally, the tongues of both shoes are improperly sewn so they do not stay straight and are therefore uncomfortable.

These shoes are Fantastic! My 10 year old son has a wide foot and finding baseball shoes can be a chore. The Wide version of these New Balance allows him to wear the proper size. Anyone that has difficulty finding baseball shoes that are not too tight should look into these ASAP!

These shoes are expensive but CHEAP! My son has been wearing them for only one month and the seam up at the toe area is already coming out. I can't afford to buy shoes for him every month! Disappointed!

Horrible shoes. I've purchased 2 pair of these because they are the widest shoes I can find. The first pair the front of the shoe separated after a month of wear. The second shoe the strap ripped apart (velcro section ripped off the metal hook at the end making them trash - could not repair) after 2 months. When you pay this amount of money you expect a shoe to last at least half of the year. I really don't wish to purchase new shoes every month. These shoes are very poorly constructed & that's a pity because the width & style are very nice. My other son wears Stride Rite & they never fall apart, but they do not come as wide as these shoes.

Good shoe for 2+ old. Very flexible and just enough arch support. Make sure to pull the lace up tight.
