Overall:

These shoes were very poorly made. First there were loose threads from the outside (within a week), then the insoles started coming out (within a month). The laces are falling apart. I don't think we've ever purchased child-sized New Balance shoes before; we certainly won't again. My adult New Balance shoes have held up much better.

These shoes are great! And super cute. They fit my daughter's foot very well. The colors are great and the black on the front doesn't show the scratches kids get from playing. Also love Zappos and the quick way they get things to you, what service! Will shop here again, and again, and again!

My daughter prefers the style of boy\'s/unisex sneakers plus she has a very wide foot. These sneakers are great. Although I think these are geared towards boys, the coloring is not so masculine that they look funny on a girl; they actually look very cool. I am a bit jealous. My daughter likes the fit of these extra-wides better than the Stride-Rite extra wides becausee the in step/arch section is more comfortable. Although the sneakers are expensive they have been worth it since she wears them almost everyday.

Because they\'re all black, these shoes are dressy enough for any occasion our 3-year old attends. (No formal occasions are on his social calendar this season.) He hasn\'t complained about comfort. Unfortunately, the laces in toddler/youth size 11.5 are almost twice as long as needed. Double-knots, double-bows, etc. didn\'t help. We had to replace the laces with shorter ones. We\'d order them again, anyway. Shipment was very fast!

I have been shopping at Zappos for a long time, I can always find what I want. My granddaughter has wide feet and these shoes fit the bill. Thanks Zappos.

Overall:

I've always loved New Balance for the kids (and me) but they don't seem to wear as well as they used to. They are very lightweight and comfortable, though, while they last. They are my son's favorites.

Velcro straps didn't last. I have always been a New Balance fan for myself and my children. My son loved the ease of putting on his own shoes and strapping them, however the velcro straps did not last. I am very disappointed in these shoes.

These shoes are perfect for my 27-month old. Not only is the price right, but they come in wide width for my son's big feet. He can put these on and take them off himself (a must these days!), and they are really comfortable for him. These are the only sneakers he has loved to wear. I am glad we didn't go with the more expensive shoes like Stride Rite, like we have in the past. Thankfully, the growth of his foot has slowed down now, so he has been wearing these in size 9 for 2 months now. But when the time comes, we will most certainly get him the same pair in a larger size (and maybe in blue).

My daughter really likes these running/gym shoes; only problem is that they seem 1/2 size too small, as they barely fit her. Wish I'd ordered 1/2 to whole size larger.

Love the shoes. They fit my daughter perfectly. She wears an insert in her shoes and the New Balance tennis shoes are really the only ones that fit her best. \r\nI love ordering them on line and getting them so fast. No hassle. \r\nZappos.com is the best.

This is a great shoe for a young girl. It is comfortable, easy to put on, but most importantly it is cute. I purchased these for my granddaughter who has wide feet. She loves wearing them and they go with everything. This shoe has good support for her feet and appear to hold up well.

I bought this shoe for my 8 year old son in a 2W. We have a hard time finding shoes that fit him, a lot of shoes say wide but they really are not that wide. It is wearing well and working out great for us.

I love these shoes for my boys. The shoes have incredibly stiff soles (despite the cut out) and give my sons very good support. We've seen physical therapists for them and they have shown me how my sons' walk and run improves (is straighter, more regular, and more efficient and therefore faster) with the proper support. These shoes have very little torsion in the soles, have lots of support in the heel cup (when new, anyway) and I buy them online now because the kids shoe stores I go to don't stock this size. The one drawback is that pine cones and rocks can get stuck in the cutout in the sole, but you shouldn't wear any shoes on your hardwood floors!

This shoe looks nice. My son has a wide foot and can usually wear New Balance wide shoes but after wearing these he said they squeezed his toes. Maybe if he keeps wearing them they will stretch out a little.

Growing toddler with a wide foot. My child fit in these sneakers wonderfully; however, as time went on, the sneakers were just coming loose because there is not much velcro to keep the sneakers closed. These sneakers would be the perfect sneaker had they either added another strap and/or made the one strap a bit larger to add more velcro, that's it! Pretty much they are great otherwise.

New Balance is great for children with wide feet. Overall, it\'s a great fitting shoe that matches most of my daughter\'s attire. The only drawback that it is on the clunkier/heavier side.

My rough and tumble little boy loves these shoes. They are comfortable and easy for him to put on and take off. My favorite part is how easy they are to clean.

These shoes are expensive but very comfortable, and my son loves them. The dark color hides dirt, so I don\'t have to wash them in the machine every week.

I bought these shoes for my first grader. They fell apart a month later. He only wore them to school so this is only from wear and tear on the playground. The whole top ring around the ankle wore off and the fabric came off. Not recommended!

This is the first New Balance Kids that I have not been pleased with. The sole is completely stiff. There is no flexibility. My son swears they are comfy, but I don\'t see how. He insisted on keeping them because they were UM colors. The only good points I can say is that they don\'t make his feet sweat much and the laces stay tied without double knotting. Other than that I would choose another New Balance Kids shoe.

My preschool daughter likes these and they are one of the only brands that carries a wide. Many other brand shoes squeeze her toes and she stops wearing them after one or two times. I just wish New Balance made more shoes and boots so we could have a bigger selection of good quality wide shoes for her!

My daughter is required to have this type of shoe for school. She loves them! At first we were skeptical that they were too "boyish." She said they are really comfortable and she really likes to wear them.

My little girl loves these shoes! They are great for everyday play or to go walking all day in. They are cute and stylish and a must for every little girl. They run a little small; we ordered 1/2 a size bigger than normal.
