My niece's baby girl began walking early and needed a good shoe. These are very lightweight, supportive, yet, flexible for a her very wide feet. Fits great and adjustable straps are superb. Now she is running!

These looked wide when I pulled them out of the box...but based on the way my 3 yr old moves in them and how they appear to fit I think they fit more true to size than they initially looked. He loves them. After some experimentation we discovered that we could tie these fairly tightly without using the uppermost eyelets and then he can slip them on/off by himself instead of an adult needing to help tie them every time.

Love these shoes! Single velcro and perfect fit for a child who has wide feet!

I bought these for my almost 3 year old. He measured at 8.5 but I got him a 9 so his feet could grow. I was nervous about how thick that heel looks, but it is not that high in reality. My son doesn't have wide feet and the M fits him just fine. They are made from good sturdy products and are very supportive for his ever running feet. The velcro closure is really handy too. We got them in Navy, and they look really cute. I'll be getting these again.

This is a great shoe. It's lightweight, but has a lot of cushioning in the sole. It's easy to lace and the tongue does not slip.

I bought these shoes for my 18 month old son. He just got AFO (SMO)and we have looked every where to find shoes that fit with them in it. I ordered these in hope of that and they work great. The Velcro strap fastens nicely. I did order them in a wide to accommodate the AFO, normally he would wear a medium or normal shoes width. If your child wears AFOs then these are the shoes you have been looking for. I ordered them in the Olive Green/Brown and they go with everything. These shoes are super cute and look like they will last a while. This is my first time ordering from Zappos and I must say they are wonderful!

These shoes have a low profile and do not stay on my son's feet well at all. The velcro straps are also not well designed. The tongue of the shoes constantly wrinkled as I tried to pull the velcro tight across the top. My son complains about wearing his shoes because of the discomfort caused by the velcro, because I have to put them back on constantly and because there is constantly debris inside his shoes.

They run small and the velcro strap has to be pulled firmly to attach to the side, harder than a child can manage. They look great though.

The only shoes my son will wear! He has had 5 pairs, and struggles every time to give up on the last and put on the new ones. Great support, comfort, durability, and they go with almost everything...if I could add cleats he would wear these to soccer. Buy these instead of any other shoe on the market for your active little one.

These are fantastic sneakers! I keep buying them for my son as his foot grows. They fit true to size and he has a slightly wide foot (but not wide enough to buy 'wide' sneakers and they fit perfectly. The velcro is such a time saver and these sneakers are incredibly light! I highly recommend them.

My son really likes these shoes, and he really puts his shoes to the test! They are holding up very well and he finds them very comfortable. These shoes added a couple of inches to his height. That was funny at first!

I bought this shoe for my 9 year old son because he, like most his age, wears shoes out so fast. I let him choose the shoe and he liked this one because it has no laces. I chose the shoe because he has a wide foot and these come extra wide. My son loves this shoe and I do too!

My grand daughter takes and XW shoe. I can always buy New Balance online and know they will work. Love the cute black and purple. She is 4 and was delighted with the purple strings.

A sturdy supportive shoe for an active 8 yr old boy. Have had it for a month or so now and still holding strong. He is rough on shoes so many times they only last a few months before they blowout. This one has been good so far.

The shoes fit. It is so great to find a company that stocks x-wide shoes for children and even when I mistakenly ordered a wide instead of an x-wide there was no problem sending them back and no shipping costs either way. The shoes were as described and well made. I recommend Zappos to everyone to everyone who wants a quality product with excellent customer service.

Our five year old son loves these shoes. He calls them his shark teeth shoes - those zig0zag designs on the bottom make a more grown up shoe seem cool to him. Otherwise, we would have been getting character shoes, and while they are cute, I think he is ready for big boy shoes!

Our three year old son saw these shoes online and loved them from the moment he saw them. We bought him New Balance Kids shoes in a different color previously and he has outgrown them, so we ordered these in a larger size for him. He adores the bright colors and seems to find them very comfortable. We would definitely order them again!

I bought these for my 7 year old step son. He seems to really like them. He does say his ankle hurts afterwards. So, I'm not 100% sure how comfortable they are.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. My son loves them. It fits well for kids that have wide feet.

My son has been wearing these shoes for a little over a month now and they seem to be great. Maybe just slightly on the big side. But they seem comfortable and he sometimes wants to put them on just for fun.
