Overall:

This is my 1st time trying New Balance and I really like it. It's as comfortable as I expected, and I'm also very satisfied how it looks. However, only con is that I picked up blue/red pair but actual shoes aren't as blue as it appears in picture. No big deal though. I also want to comment on shipping. Zappos upgraded my shipping from basic to next day for free! And I can't believe how fast I got the package. Thank you Zappos! This site is serious business.

I love New Balance shoes. I've been wearing them for years and have never had anything but a comfortable, reasonably long-wearing shoe. But I love Zappos even more. There's never a question or problem about returns, which means, in effect, that you can try shoes on in your own home, wear them around the house and send them back, in the same box they came in, prepaid, if you're not entirely happy with them.

These shoes are disappointing. I usually love NB shoes, but these are flimsy and don't feel like they stay on my feet, no matter how tight I tie them. I even got a 1/2 size smaller than usual, and they are still too long. They are stylish, but not comfortable at all.

These are cute shoes. They are a little uncomfortable. I got to have a kind of retro casual shoe, and they are good for that. But I would never walk a long time in them. The comfort can only be described as what you would feel if you wore your shoes on opposite feet. But this said, I do like them, and I will keep them. Zappos is awesome!

Great shoes. Comfortable after they are broken in. There was initially a little discomfort at the back of the ankle, but after a couple days that went away. Easy to keep clean and maintain. I really like this shoe. Recommended.

These shoes are pretty hot. They look fantastic, and they don't feel as flat and insubstantial as some throwback running shoes can be. Plus as a large footed man, I had no complaints width-wise, which is usually my biggest problem.

I got the red/black color combination. Note: in person the red on these shoes is a brick red. Not the bright red/orange shown in the picture on this site. They look great anyway. The length is the same as my M574s that I have, but the width is narrower. My feet are on the narrow side so I consider the M574s to be a wide shoe, and these M373 to be average width. Free overnight shipping from Zappos is great! If you are looking for size comparisons, I wear a 9 1/2 in these and my Nike running shoes are a 10.

The shoe definitely fits true to width. However, I would say that it runs small by about a size in length. A nice stylish retro shoe. Great for weekends.

These shoes are very comfortable and cute. They could have better arch support, but they are adequate enough for wandering around town. The colors are fantastic. They do run a half size small. I say this because I am consistently a size 8, so order up a half size for the best fit.

The shoes I've ordered were just fine. I was expecting a shoe with a heavier upper and a more giving sole; the pair I ordered were very light with a stiff sole. At first I was disappointed until I started wearing them for their intended purpose. Now I realize they are just what I needed.

Great shoe! Really comfortable. The sizes run a little small, so you may want to order one a little bigger than what you normally get.

These are the best shoes that I have ever owned... Hands down! There was no break in needed, and no sore feet. I typically wear skate shoes and I always felt like I was walking around in soggy shoes because of there weight, wearing the Classics I felt like my feet were lighter. I wear a 14 and typically a extra wide but I didn\'t need it with these.

These shoes are cool, but offer no support at all. They are extremely flat on the bottom and the insole is glued into the shoe, so you're stuck with it. I have the navy pair and they are some of my favorites. I also have the all black pair which are cool, but I find myself never wearing them. Overall they are comfortable for everyday wear, not running or anything. Run pretty true to size; can be snug, but after a week or so of wearing they'll fit fine. I only say this because I wear a 13 and I have a wide foot.

Great shoe for walking, relaxing, everyday life. I would never run in these purely because I think you would roll your ankle easily because they hit right below your ankle. The Lego pattern on the bottom is comfortable, though I changed the insole out with memory foam ones which makes a world of difference for me since I'm flat footed. One of my favorite New Balance shoes besides the U455, though I think I like the U455s because they run wider. These shoes run pretty true to size, but can be snug at first as any shoe can, though after a week of wearing, they'll fit perfect.

Comfortable shoes when changed out with memory foam insoles. I say this only because I am flat footed and wear a 13, so you may not need them. Good for walking, working out, not running. Run a little snug, but after wearing for a week or so they break in good. I always switch out the insoles on all my New Balance Classics as I would recommend to anyone just because they don't offer a lot of support if you need it. I own the gray/green ones and they go well with just about anything. If you like these then check out the U455 for a wider fit and more color selection.

I own the gray/turquoise/navy pair and the brown/yellow pair and they are pretty comfortable. I always switch out all my New Balance classic shoes with memory foam insoles so that helps a lot. One thing I like about these shoes is that they are somewhat wider than normal D's and the sole is thicker/taller so my jeans don't get caught underneath the shoes when I'm walking which happens a lot with my New Balance U420s & M410s . Also the Lego pattern on the bottom is good for walking, etc., though I wouldn't really run in these, but weights and walking they're good for.

These shoes have been great for me so far. The first thing I noticed is how exceptionally light they are. The fit is very snug. Most importantly to me, the shoes are very flexible. They move and roll with my feet rather than hindering my natural movement which is why I am now avoiding shoes with "support" that always seem to be too rigid. I have been using these as work shoes and providing that I don't ever drop anything heavy on my toes, I will continue to wear these shoes instead of work boots. They have been so comfortable and I am much happier at the end of the day. I should note (and I'm sure reviewers here also noticed) that the shade of blue is quite a bit brighter than pictured. I don't mind, though.

Crappy shoes. I bought these for my 13 year old daughter for school wear. She's not "rough" on shoes, but even if she was, these should have held up. The shoe/fabric itself is separating from the sole of the shoe. She has only worn these shoes for 2 1/2 months. I am going to attempt to contact New Balance and see if I can get a refund or replacement.

These shoes are my all-time favorite! This is my 4th pair (of this or similar New Balance shoe) in about 8 years. I wear these everywhere. They are very comfortable with nice width. Cushion on the sides and tongue give the shoe a little more bulk than most casual sneakers, but make the wear more comfortable and warm. The footbeds are somewhat flat, but not hard. They are very long-lasting if they are taken care of and cleaned up periodically. Highly recommended!

I have been a long term purchaser of NB M996 shoes (a good running shoe as well non-gaudy enough for casual wear), which is the most comfortable shoe from time zero I ever wore. Unfortunately, NB in their questionable wisdom discontinued that model and replaced with some more expensive and less comfortable versions. I have been looking for something to replace my well worn 996s (I still have a couple pairs squirreled away) so I took a chance on the M373. Well it is not quite as comfortable as 996, but felt close enough that I immediately ordered a second pair (the 2nd of 3 pairs of 12 1/2's in stock). I am pleased with Zappos free shipping policy and fast service. Kudos to Zappos. I still have my eye out for 996s!
