Nathan Reviews
This is my first handheld. It is very comfortable and does it's job because usually I forget about it on my runs. The reason I gave it 4 stars was the bottle can leak if you don't jam the stopper back in place strongly.
Used the Nathan Shadow Pak to run a marathon and thought it was a good product. It did not slip and that was the most important thing. I wanted it to hold my phone and a key and it was perfect for those two things. Would have needed bigger pack for more stuff.
I bought this as a gift for my mom, and she loves it for her walks. It is lightweight and comfortable on an angle. It's a perfect gift at a great price, and I will give this one again!
This product works OK for what I needed it for, which was to have a hands free way to carry water when I run. Firstly, I preferred to have the pouch turned around to my back, I have to pull the strap very tight around my waist so the water bottle doesn't flop over; the zipper pouch is very small, will fit one key and that is about it. Overall, it does what I need it to do.
This is a great handheld and the best I've ever used. I used it the entire time at the Western States 100 and it worked real well. There is room for a few gels and you can even fit a phone/iPod in the pocket.
This is not for most women. I own Nathan bottle carriers, and appreciate their attention to ergonimcs. When I needed a larger fluid carrying capacity, I ordered the X-Ceed. I loved everything about this pack, and tried to make it work. But no matter how I adjust the shoulder and waist straps, the X-straps in front ride up until my breasts stop it. This is not the part of my body I want bearing pack weight during a run. Unless your stomach is larger than your chest, I cannot recommend this pack for women. I am returning the X-Ceed and getting a Camelbak Lobo, which I can wear comfortably (without the chest strap - again designed for the male body).
Good product takes a few miles to acclimate to carrying there is some bounce especially when full 3 miles in usually forget about it but love that H2O when need it.
I love this Pack! I walk my dog everyday up the hollywood hills and I needed something that could hold my keys and phone without being too bulky. This is great! I forget its on sometimes.
So I ordered this fanny pack for my team and I before we did the breast cancer walk last June. Well I must say I was a bit disappointed because I didn't receive the fanny pack in the photo. We were sent a pink model that was much smaller. It wasn't the color that really bothered me though. What did was that the model we were sent was much smaller than what the photo presents it as. The fanny pack portion gave me barely enough space to fit my cell phone (a small HTC model) and my lip gloss. From this photo, I think it appears much larger.
Nice and lightweight. I can put other bottles in and they hold secure. I would recommend this holder.
The Shadow pak is the perfect size for a cell phone, keys or gel packs or all of the above! I needed something for when I run away from home to hold stuff. I used it in my last race (half marathon) to hold energy gels and it didn't bug me once.
Very convenient on runs and short hikes. I can slip my phone into the zippered area and my key fob into the mesh on the front. Only downside is the bottle won't stand up on its own because of the sleeve.
This is a great hydration belt. It's very comfortable and it stays in place. I don't even realize I'm wearing it on my runs. The velcro is very strong and the fabric of the belt stretches to fit just right. The bottles are easy to pull out mid run without breaking stride. The 2 bottles are good for those who only require sips every few miles. If you require more, the 4 bottle belt may be better suited for you. The pocket is handy for cell phone, gel packs, keys, etc. Overall, this is a great product highly recommended to make those long runs a little more comfortable.
Great pack. Sits very well against your back with little or no bounce. Doesn't restrict breathing or shoulder movement. Shoulder strap length adjustment isn't easy but once you dial it down, you shouldn't have to touch it again.
The pack is comfortable, but the zippered compartment is not big enough for a cell phone, keys and a small energy bar. Great if you just want to carry your keys and water.

Love this hydration pack. Small and not bulky like other products. Does not bounce at all. Can't go wrong with new and improved Nathan products. Price is better at Zappos than sporting goods stores and many other places.
Fantastic belt! I first ordered a medium but exchanged for a small. I'm 5'8" 135lbs. With the small I can wear it high on my waist or lower on my hips. For marathon training I am able to store my droid phone, car key, 6 to 8 GU packs without a thought. I don't feel that it adds any extra weight but I have been training with the belt for 6 months. The velcro is super strong and has held up to the rigors of training in 100+ heat. The bottles are freezable as well. I freeze them the night before a long run and then have cold water throughout the miles.
