Montrail Reviews
Very comfortable foot bed. However, the inside of the thong strap, along the seam, is a little rough. I am going to wear them and hope that the inside seam softens.
All I can say is, Wow! Just follow the directions to have them form fit your feet. After having them a couple of weeks I can say Montrail Molokai are the best flip flops I have ever owned! I have worn Sperry Topsiders for years and they are not as comfortable.
So ugly. I don't care how comfortable these sandals are. I put these on my feet for all of 10 seconds - waiting to see if the comfort could win me over. Nope. Just too ugly. The area of the sandal that is under the arch is so wide and unflattering. There are sandals that are just as comfortable that don't make me feel like I have duck feet.
You need to heat this product and mold to your foot. I need to do this again, as I don't think I did it properly. I like the style and the sole is thick, I cannot wear the flip-flops with zero support (even though I would rather go barefoot everywhere!) These are nice shoes.
I have this sandal and bought it solely because the reviews spoke of the arch support and the comfort. What I found is that the length is fine (I ordered a size 9 and I wear a 9 1/2 - 10 medium), but this shoe is geared toward wider feet. Maybe because it was too wide for me, I didn't find the arch support anything special. Sure, it's more support than the typical flip flop out there, but I was hoping for something "more". The footbed material is extremely comfortable, as is the piece that goes between your toes. I didn't find that heating it in the oven, as suggested, made it fit any better. It's a good knock around casual sandal that is nice and squishy to walk on...but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who needs a ton of arch support.
I was surprisingly dissatisfied by this shoe, probably because I bought it under the presumption that it would fit similarly as my Mountain Masochists of the same size and width. However, it turns out that these Rogue Flys are rather tight around the foot, to the point where the lace length was insufficient to tie up (not that I needed to because of their tightness). Also, the toe box felt uncomfortably closed. At least the heel support was fair, but there's almost no support for the forefoot. Overall, a disappointment for Montrail.
You will never ever regret spending so much on a pair of these flip-flops. They are incredibly comfortable and I live in them all summer. I buy a new pair each year. I love them!
I have very sensitive and hard feet to fit! These shoes are perfect. They mold to your feet and the heel does not slip. These are my 'go to' shoes when I come home from work. I have had them for a year now and thought about getting another pair but they show little sign of wear so I don't need to. Instead, I'm buying a pair for my husband who also has hard feet to fit.
I think these shoes would be awesome for comfort. I'm returning because I wanted a little more style.
I picked this sport sandal after thorough research. I was looking for a comfort thong for after running, hiking, and golfing. The size 8 (my normal) was too large. It was made for very long toes. They were boats that looked and felt ridiculous. Clown sandals. I traded them for size 7's. They were the right length, but after baking and walking around in them in my house for hours, I began to develop a blister on my inside arch. They were too narrow. If they came in half sizes, it probably would've been perfect. We will never know. A lot of baking and comfort hooey that did not apply to me.
These are awesome on comfort and have excellent arch support. I normally wear a 10½ in a shoes and 10 in sandals. For these a 9 is perfect! I am very happy.
Fit was good. However, am disappointed with shoe. I walk on Dirt, sand and gravel dike/levee near my home. I can feel every small rock on forefoot even with gel insoles. Pronation control appears to be missing. My feet hurt. Shoes are light weight, which is nice. I miss my Montrail Vitesse shoes which were fantastic, but no longer being produced--bummer.
I've been wearing these for over a year, on a regular basis in my shoe rotation. They look great still with no obvious wear and are very comfortable. :)
Unbelievable! I have messed up feet due to a botched bunion surgery, plus flat arches, so was searching for a flip flop with some arch support. These are fantastic! Came back for another pair in a different color. Will literally live in these all summer.
I bought these for my husband and he loves them! Aside from that, I have worn the women's version for several years. I bought my first pair when I was having Plantar Fasciitis issues and these flops cured it! No meds, no doctor, just flops!
I'm not a runner but I bought these trail running shoes as light weight hiking shoes for hot weather. They're much lighter than the lightest hiking shoes I could find and have good tread. I tested them out on the trail to the top of lower Yosemite Falls (approximately 1 mile up with 1000 feet elevation gain). They were very comfortable with no break in period needed. They are actually more comfortable than any sneakers I have.
I love these Montrail Molokinis...they make you feel like you are walking on a cloud and give you great support.
These are the best flip-flops. I've ever worn. In fact, I wore out last year's shoes and reordered more for this season.
