I needed to find a sneaker with a good toe box area for my toes which would rub on the seams of my other sneakers. I went up 1/2 size and tried this shoe, and so far so good.
Brands I'd also recommend: Mizuno Wave Creation; sadly it doesn't come in 11.5 womens

I am so disappointed with these shoes. I am a huge Mizuno fan and have had multiple pairs. The issues? First of all, the overall quality appeared to be cheap. I am sure people will argue this but take a closer look. In the left shoe there was an uncomfortable feeling under my toes; almost a bump. But the real deal breaker? They were by far the loudest shoes I have ever heard! I put in a ton of mileage and know how my footfall sounds. I like stiff/hard shoes but these were too rigid even for me.

I was a loyal Mizuno Wave Rider fan up to 13. The big changes in the 14 model were terrible for my feet (heel collar was way too high), so I was patiently waiting for the 15 as they supposedly were redesigning the shoes, correcting things that fans hated in the 14. Unfortunately I did not like the redesign either. These are pretty stiff shoes and I did not find them nearly as comfortable as the 13. I have since switched to Brooks Ghonst 4 which I highly recommend for anyone who was previously a fan of the Wave Rider.

They're back! If you loved the Mizuno Wave Riders up through the 12s then you will love these. My husband and I both hated the wave rider 13s and 14s...but these are great. Fit right out of the box. Have 2 pair at home and 2 pair at the Florida house. My hubby has 3 pair at home and 2 at the Florida house also. Huge Mizuno fans! (If you are new to Mizuno, you have to order a half size larger than normal.)

I loved my last pair of Wave Runners. This one seemed higher in the heel like it might rub and the colors are horrible (the lavender is very washed out the yellow very bright). I went with Brooks this time instead.

I love these! I just took them out on my first run and they felt light and very comfortable. I've had the wave nexus before but these feel much lighter and better support. Mizunos run small, so I always get 1/2 size larger than my actual size. I also love the color!

This is a sharp shoe and really gets attention around UMich campus. The quality is as good as the previous versions, if not even better- I think there might actually be a little more padding around the ankle. I liked these so much I bought a 2nd shoe of a different color.

Huge Mizuno fan! First running shoes I ever purchased were Mizunos & now several pairs later & with dozens of 5ks & two half marathons under my belt love these shoes! Don't really know about the "looks cheap" comment...mine look great & feel great...maybe there were just a few bad ones in the bunch.

I love the fit of these shoes. I have the Wave Riders 9 and these are a very similar fit. I am sending them back only because based on the photo I was expecting a maroon/red shoe and this turned out to be very pink!

I've had the silver/purple/yellow pair for a couple of months now and can honestly say these shoes are awesome. I've had problems with plantar fascitis and have had no problems with it since wearing these shoes. Very comfortable and the air flow through the shoe is great too. I am very happy with the investment I've made in these shoes! You will too.

The color is perfect, it is actually a bit darker than expected which I love. The are very comfortable and finally the back heel is cut down to the size of the Wave Rider 13's so it doesn't rub as much on your ankles. Very happy with my purchase.
