I like these shoes. They are well made and comfortable. I think I could have taken half a size smaller but it feels good to have more room for my toes.

I have a wide foot so generally have to go a half-size higher to get the fit I need in medium width. After reading the reviews I thought I could get away with my true 9.5 and I couldn't. Would love for Merrill to have more then athletic shoes in a wide width. I like the strap but will get tired of buckling it every day and will probably try to slip it on instead, elastic and no buckle next time? I returned the 9.5 and bought the 10's and could even remove the insole and insert my Spendco insoles.

I love Merrell -- almost 90% of my shoe wardrobe consists of this brand -- but I feel they need to go back to the drawing board with the design on this shoe. I am a size 7 and I currently have three Merrells that are a size 7. But with the Angelic Emme, however, the shoe feels about half a size larger than 7, so my heels keep slipping out. But the shoe itself fits perfectly (snugly, in fact) in the toe box, which tells me if I went a half-size lower, thee shoe would pinch. Because I need this shoe immediately, I'm just going to stick in a pair of Heavenly Heelz by Foot Petals and call it a day. In terms of ease of wearing, this is a very comfortable shoe, like most Merrells tend to be, and I can see myself wearing this with trousers, dresses, and skirts. It's a great formal shoe and very versatile, but Merrell needs to get the design right on this one. Zappos' service continues to amaze me. These shoes arrived within a day of ordering. Well done, Zappos!

I have found the Emme's to be true to size, very stable (am often chasing after three young kids), and very stylish. I can wear them with trouser jeans, dresses and everything in between. I ordered my usual size and can wear them with nylons, tights, and thin socks. Whenever I wear them, I don't want to take them off. They are a great investment and I look forward to wearing them for a long time.

These shoes are remarkably comfortable and supportive while still adding a bit of height and looking professional enough for the workplace, even with a skirt suit. I am an attorney, and I have had a back injury that made high heels absolutely prohibited, but I also have a slight bunionette (bone defect on the pinky side of my foot) that is extremely painful in ballet flats. I also frequently need to walk several blocks to a mile while dressed for work, and I travel internationally for work. It's hard for me to find a shoe that meets all my needs, and this one does the trick perfectly. It is suitably professional, and the soft lining in the toe box does not irritate my bunionette at all. I can walk a mile in it easily; it has wonderful arch support and the wedge heel feels like it's barely there. It gets four stars for style, keeping in mind of course that it's a comfort shoe. I am normally an 8.5 or a 9; I bought both and kept 9 because the toe box of the 8.5 was a bit snug. The heel on the 9 is a bit loose, but the Mary Jane strap keeps it on. I'd recommend sizing up if you are between sizes and have any sort of bunion/instep issues. The Angelic Emme style also comes in a knee and ankle boot; I can't wait to try them! I'm so happy with this purchase.

Very cute...run Large, though. I wear a size 10 90% of the time. I returned them for a 9 1/2, and they fit perfectly. Really good quality.

This is a nice looking dress shoe that works well with suits & dress pants but does not look great with skirts. I am surprised at how loose it is on my foot. Past experience with Merrell is that they run a little small but break in very well. That was not the case with this shoe. The shoe is very comfortable.
