Merrell

I'm no pro at running but I am vegan and love long distance runs and these shoes got my running lifestyle perfectly! What I love most is how the back part of the shoe is soft unlike most that get "bent or broken in." There's no need to with these. The very first day I got them I did 2.5 miles without one problem. They are super lightweight and slim fitting...excellent for me since I have a very slim foot and high arch. I wear 7 W and they fit true to size. I've done probably close to 30 miles since I got them (a little over a month ago) and you can't even tell. The tread is still in brand new condition. Since they are barefoot, you can and will feel everything you run on. Not a bad thing, just something you have to adjust to. I am 100%+ satisfied with my pair. Would highly recommend.

This minimalist running shoe with lightest support has been a lifesaver for me. I'm in later middle age and since hitting fifty, I've been having trouble with lower back and knee pain/stiffness, and calluses on the balls of my feet. Walking was more and more compromised as I kept trying to accommodate and ease my increasing immobility with shoes that were gradually more and more supportive, cushioned, and thicker soled. Then a young runner suggested that such rigid shoes might be actually worsening my muscular-skeletal conditions by forcing me to walk in patterns unnatural to my individual needs. Lo and behold I tried this less structured running shoe and my pain and stiffness has begun to melt away in less than 3 weeks. Just adding this review in case anyone else my age is finding themselves buying more heavy, orthopedic style shoes with no - or worse - results. The minimalist models may be worth a try for you too! I'm back at Zappos to order my 3rd pair of 'Arc 2' (lest Merrell stop making this hybrid model).

Took these out of the box and tried them on for instant comfort. I really love them and will use them as house shoes, walking shoes, running to the store, whatever. I've been a fan of Merrill Mary Jane styles ever since I bought multiple pairs of the Encore MJ somewhere around 2008. Sadly the Encore MJ is no longer made, so I've been choosing other MJ's. The old Encore MJ was a bit dressier and perfect for "smart casual" dressing, and that's what I miss. This Crush Glove MJ has all the comfort, but is more for very casual or sport dressing. Still love my Merrell's! And Zappos of course!

The old Encore MJ was a bit dressier and perfect for "smart casual" dressing, and that's what I miss. This Circuit MJ Breeze has all the comfort, but is more for very casual or sport dressing. Still love my Merrill's! And Zappos of course!

I'm a fan of Merrill shoes, but have always chosen the Mary Jane styles. I finally tried these. As with other Merrill shoes, they are so comfortable. For me, these look best when I wear them with slacks. If someone asked me how these shoes could be improved, the only thing I would say is to make them a bit higher in the back. At first my foot slid out of the back very easily, but as I've work them more, that's gotten better. I am going to keep these, but would still prefer a higher back for more support and comfort. Love this shoe, comfortable and right on size. Don't like the white because it looks like my feet are wearing a bandage. But love the shoe's fit.

This is my second pair -- the first one is finally, after years of great service, showing its age. They are lightweight, comfortable and they are my go-to casual summer shoe. I do a lot of traveling and always take them. In cooler weather I wear a pair of thin socks and in warm weather the shoes are comfortable just as they are. My only wish is that they were offered in a wider variety of colors. I tried several of similar Merrells that do come in other colors, but they just weren't as comfortable or the colors were too garish for everyday wear. I should also note, that depending upon your computer monitor's calibration, the color of the taupe shoe is actually more of a grey than the creamy, slightly pinkish color that shows up on my monitor. This isn't the fault of Merrell or Zappos, it is just one of those problems of each monitor having a different calibration. I give these shoes 5 stars Overall and for Comfort. I even give them 5 stars for Style -- recognizing that they aren't meant to be compared to Jimmy Choo, but within their type of shoe category, the styling is neat, and doesn't make your foot look clunky the way some other do. Highly recommended!

Usually I love Merrells, have several pairs of them, all comfortable. These were not. They just did not work on my feet at all. From the appearance they looked as if they should be very soft and comfortable, but the way the toe box fit on my foot just wasn't quite right, harder than it looked and not shaped right. They would've been cute except that the shape around the toe box was obviously not well-fitted to the foot, just awkward looking. I returned these and went with a pair of Camper brand ballet flats instead, pricier but with a little more style and much more comfortable.

I have only worn these once so far. It was all day and so comfortable. I am vacationing soon and these are definately being packed

Bought these boots, then went on a 4 day camping trip and hiked roughly 10 miles...without ever having broken them in. Super comfortable, great fit.

I've had these shoes for about 1 1/2 months now and really enjoy them. They are very comfortable, lightweight, and unique in their styling. I bought them as a casual, hangout type shoe, for something lighter than my Chameleons, and have been very happy with my selection. I originally ordered size 10.5, which I've worn in all my Merrells, but they were too big. I had to go to a 10, and now they fit perfect. Overall, you will not be disappointed.

Pretty stylish, but the comfort's the thing. They have a very comfy heel and there's no rubbing up against toes. Fairly wide in that respect. My go-to shoe for casual walks and errands.

I hiked in these right out of the box, barefoot (which I normally wouldn't do without washing them first, but I was eager to try them) I was annoyed at first that the top strap doesn't cover the foot, just the velcro part, which doesn't bother when walking, but I think it weird. One can't quite get a snug fit without bunching the skin, so I let them a little loose and it was fine. The bit around the inner ankle will pop out, which looks like cookie monster talking, but this also didn't bother me enough to send them back. On the hike, over stones and rocks, they felt just like the vibram five-finger shoes, which I like, but might be weird for people not used it..but that is the point of a barefoot shoe. i'm not usually a ballerina slipper, mary jane kind of girl, but these are functional and cute, which is rare. I did sweat a bit and my left heel got a little blister from the friction, but I still like them. I washed them after and realized that they are watertight, which would come in handy for carrying water, if one were in need and it also explains the sweating. The size 7 fit, like a 7 should. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't notice arch support...which would infact defeat the purpose of a barefoot shoe.

These shoes have been very uncomfortable. I thought they would get better over time, but after a month of daily wearing, they still bother my feet. The tongue flares out at the top and hurts the top of my foot. I will probably cut off the flare out to see if that helps. Also, the ankle cut out is off and hurst my ankles. I lace them very loosely, but then they slip. I wear them more like a slip on/off. I tried this model on at the store but they did not have the right size (I usually wear a 9-9½ but in these shoes I needed a 10) so I ordered online. I did not notice these pressure points in the store but after about half an hour of wearing them at home I started to feel the pressure points. I am still looking for comfortable shoes.

These are great shoes, that extremely comfortable! My feet are just a little wide so if you think you might need wider shoes definitely make sure you get the wide width.

Love these shoes! Minimal and comfortable, these are my go to shoes for the summer. They are sized perfectly and fit great, and the mesh material makes them great for quick drying after getting wet. There is some rough spots where some seams connect, but nothing too bad so far. Overall, a great minimal shoe that looks good too.

Just love my new Merrells. Order half size down as I usually wear an 11.5 but the 11 is a perfect fit. Compared to other brands with similar styling I find these have a great arch support. I always buy my Merrells at Zappos when I visit from Australia. Zappos customer service gets 5 stars from me.

Love these! I loved these the first time they made these a couple years ago. They are not too loose in the toe box, I do have mildly wide feet.

These are really comfy! They may run a bit big, but I put new insoles for arch support and they fit almost perfectly. I bought them before a long trip to Iceland and they are warm and waterproof! You can walk around all day in these.

13 year old reports them as "great." He survived a busy hiking weekend in upstate NY & we hadn't had time to break them in. Kept his foot dry too, unlike some other boots we've had.
