Fairly good shoe, but has some disappointing aspects. The insole is not cushioned enough or at all. Support is good and outsole doesn't slip. Not the most attractive shoe, but will do for daily home wear.

I love this shoe. Every time I put them on I consciously notice how comfortable they are on my feet! I do a lot of standing during the day and I feel like the support in these Merrell soles really do somehow "align" me. I wear Good Feet inserts usually, but haven't traded out the Merrell insert yet, because they just feel so good - my legs and hips don't ache after a long day wearing these. I really wish they came in a wide width though. My 4th toe gets a little cramped. I wear a thinner sock to compensate.

I love these short boots! I usually wear a flat comfort type shoe due to arthritis in my feet, but was needing some winter boots and decided to give these a try. They are amazingly comfortable. The non skid sole is easy to walk on and the shoes are very cushiony. I can walk easily in these and am amazed that my feet tolerate them so well. They're very nice looking and go great with jeans and work pants. I get lots of compliments every time I wear them.

These are incredibly comfortable. We're planning a trip to Disney World next month and I wanted something that would be good for a lot of walking. These shoes definitely fill the bill. The manufacturer has gone out of their way to make every single part that is in contact with your foot soft and comfortable. My only wish is that they had half sizes. Since I wear an 8-1/2, I decided to go with a 9. It's a little longer than I'd like, but doesn't look odd.

These boots aren't the most attractive...however they are so comfy I got over their exterior immediately. I walk a LOT, on my feet a lot at work. Feet never hurt, like walking on air…I absolutely love these boots. And if I could, I would figure out a way to wear them as slippers!

These are great, sturdy shoes. My son loves them. They are great for quick on, quick off (my son is 12, but doesn’t love laces... he ends up not tying them tight enough, so he gets better support out of these velcros, as it is easier to adjust. This is his second pair of Merrells. We are big fans, but we are even bigger fans of Zappos. Amazing sight, great customer service, always a pleasure.

These are my first pair Merrells and so far I'm happy with them. Looks like good quality material and manufacturing so I think they'll hold up to all the walking I do.

These shoes were really cute, but I was disappointed with the arch supports. Although many reviewers said they had "excellent" arch support, I would rate them as "moderate" at best. They did cushion my feet and were comfortable just wearing around the house, but not enough arch support to do lots of walking in. I also wanted shoes I could wear without socks, but these didn’t feel good without socks. If I had kept these, I would have gotten a 1/2 size smaller - my normal size was too big.

These are comfortable shoes - I was able to wear them right out of the box for hours of walking without any problems or blisters. Although it sounds crazy considering that these are sandals, these shoes are very warm - the perfect thongs for colder weather. The material is similar to wetsuits, so it gets hot. The sole also keeps in heat. I tried wearing them in a hot climate and it was too uncomfortable. Every time I stopped walking I would slip my feet out so that they could breathe - and this is the only sandal I’ve ever had that is warm, so this is not a complaint I’ve ever had before. Also, the shoes got super stinky, which is also not something I usually complain about because I do NOT tend to have smelly feet. I sprayed them with anti-stink spray and did not have further problems. My last complaint is that they look a little cheap - something about the design and materials make it look like a discount shoe. These shoes did not become my go-to favorite as I expected because of the heat issue and the cheap appearance, but I do wear them at night when I want to be comfortable.

Merrell clogs are the ones for me!!! For the long days at work, nothing else compares… The comfort is superb and the lightness of the shoe is great and very versatile, matches any outfit effortlessly. You can never get tired of wearing these clogs and never regret having purchased them.

These shoes are amazingly comfortable. I can wear them all day without socks. They are my around town walking shoes. It’s been too cold to try them in water yet. I find them true to size, but my foot is a little bit wide.

Fabulous shoe with good athletic support for foot. Moderate arch support - would prefer higher arch support. Flexible and comfortable, great for traveling. Mesh fabric accommodates feet/ankle swelling from airplane travel. I wore these all over France with skirts and pants - even in the rain! I found them good for cobblestones streets and forest paths since I do not like to be trapped in sneakers. I have nerve problems in the forefoot and this is one of the only shoes I can wear. Thick sole with good tread for inclement weather, too.

After my knee replacement surgery several years ago I searched for shoes that provided comfort, support, style, and ease of getting into. I discovered Merrell shoes and have been a complete fan ever since. Somehow, Merrell makes styles, especially their Encore slides that fit as if they were custom made for me alone. Wish the Encore grooves came in navy or grey! Zappos will now be my shoe store. Ordered online late one night and they were at my doorstep 36 hours later. Thanks...

I love these shoes. Merrell brand usually fits wide in the heel on me, but due to the low back that is not an issue here. Also the strap allows me to tighten for a custom fit. I wear these every day and are also great for travel. This is my 4th pair--all ordered thru Zappos. I stopped buying Keen as the sizing was all over the map. Merrell seems more consistent.

I really loved the look and feel of this boot. The foot size was perfect, but they were really hard to get on and off. I did want to chance not being able to break them in so I returned them.

I bought these shoes for a trip to southeast Asia where I would be doing a lot of walking on uneven surfaces and in extreme heat. I also have foot problems - these shoes were comfortable and could be easily rinsed off at the end of the day. No breaking in needed - great support.

They're super comfortable, and seem to be well put together, and look good enough to wear anywhere, short of a formal occasion. Perfect for the office. They do run a little wide, which would be perfect for me, since I have wider feet. However, because of that, I ordered a wide width so they're almost too big. My questionable ordering aside, great product, especially at this price point. Would absolutely buy (a smaller version) again.

My first experience with Zappos; more than satisfied. We live in rural far northern Vermont, and the nearest shoe store is 45 minutes away. I checked there, and found this style, but not in my husband's size. I found the reviews on Zappos extremely helpful, especially comments about sizing and feedback about general comfort. I ordered these, they came faster than expected. We are traveling out of country, hoping to do a lot of hiking, and my husband found these comfortable out of the box, and true to size. He's not sure they will provide all the support he needs for hilly terrain, but likes the soles - good and grippy. I am also so impressed with the breadth of the offerings at Zappos - how can any store compete?

These shoes are very comfortable and provide good support. The sizing is kind of tricky though because they do not come in half sizes. The length of a size 7 fit me perfect, but the width of the size 8 was more comfortable. I ended up purchasing the size 7 and then just had them stretched which cost a few dollars, but was worth it. I would recommend these shoes in a heartbeat.

1st Zappos is the best. I ordered somewhere around 8 at night and they were at my doorstep the next day. I couldn’t believe how fast I got them. 2nd the shoes. I usually wear a New Balance 12EE. I tried some of these on at stores and found a 13E is a real good fit. That is what I ordered and the fit for me is the best I have ever had with a shoe. It is snug around my foot and there is a lot of room for my toes. Some would say it is probably too much room, but for me I like it. I haven’t tried a lot of different brands, but these are definitely the most comfortable I have ever put on. I have done a little walking/hiking, but not a lot so I can’t comment on long term use. The tread is great, nice and deep, and they work great in the snow. A little snow anyway because your feet will get wet. I WILL buy Merrell again hopefully the size is consistent with all their shoes.

These boots are simply amazing. Comfortable, durable, stylish and the best boot I’ve ever owned. I used to be a Redwing man, strictly leather and metal, these boots changed that opinion completely (and for the best)! They’re a soft boot inside, no break in blisters or chafing here. The Gortex is very breathable, durable, and colorful. They offer unbeatable traction in the soles and incredible ankle support. They go well with just about any pant and keep your feet warm and dry no matter the weather conditions. If you do your part and wear appropriate socks, your feet will remain comfortable no matter the temperature outside. From blistering sidewalk to 18 inches of snow, my feet have remained happy. What’s more, my left knee (left rather irritable after heavy surgery) has never felt better due to the softness of the insoles on these boots. They’re good to go straight out of the box, as opposed to tradition boots which require a good oiling and a better pair of insoles (not to mention a lengthy break in period) before they’re even remotely comfortable. I can’t recommend these enough. If you have wide feet, which I do (3E), they can be a little tight on the sides if you wear a thick sock, so plan accordingly and I’m sure they’ll stretch out in time (mine are less than a month old).

Cute and comfy at first, great for keeping feet dry in light rain, BUT after several weeks they hurt my ankles because there is no arch support. They are very soft and flexible - no support. The tongue is too short making it hard to put on quickly (I like to leave laces tied and use tonguehorn for all my shoes for easy on/off/keep house clean and feet comfortable in house). These required sitting down, 2 hands and struggling as tongue always dropped below lace area. Please someone make a water resistant shoe that is as comfortable as a good running shoe. I don’t like to stop my walking routine in cold or rainy weather and I don’t like wearing stiff or too flexible shoes.

After ordering and returning two other similar pairs of black boots, I settled on these and am very happy with them. They’re warm and totally waterproof in several inches of slush. I wouldn’t say that they breathe exactly, but after wearing them all day, my feet don’t feel too gross. They’re certainly not the most stylish boots I’ve ever owned (they look great over pant legs or with a skirt, but they’re not so hot under pant legs), but they allow me to walk to work in the snow and not have to change into other shoes when I get there - a nice compromise. The treads aren’t enormous, but they’ve kept me pretty stable on icy sidewalks thus far. I’d recommend them to anyone.

These are my favorite boots. They're not bulky and awkward so I feel confident wearing them on uneven terrain while hiking or in deeper snow. The soles are sticky and just thick enough to give support and be comfortable, yet I can still feel my footing and not worry about losing traction and slipping. They are definitely waterproof as well. When I am knee deep in snow, my feet remain dry. Warmer lining would have been nice for winter, but I think as they are, this will be more comfortable for hiking in the summer. They also feel pretty durable; I anticipate these boots will last a good while. I ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly, even with thick socks. Very comfortable and great performance so far. They also look pretty cool, too.
