Mephisto

Very comfortable shoe but compared to my other Mephisto's, a little bit wide It shows on my screen as a bright yellow (which is what I wanted), however, it has a green cast to it.

I was looking for this sandal as I wanted to replace the one I have. Mephisto should no have messed with perfection. The sandal I have does not have a heel. I purchased them about 4 years ago. They are the most comfortable Mephisto sandals I have ever owned. I have been looking to replace them (same style) and I finally found them only to be disappointed that they added a heal which would not be as comfortable for walking. It's more like a dress sandal. Maybe if I wait a year or two they will go back to the healless version.

I bought these sandals for a recent trip and with grateful feet, I walked in them for hours. I trust Mephisto to provide a sturdy, comfortable shoe and I was not disappointed...these classy sandals were a perfect fit right out of the box. Of course, I am always grateful for Zappos consistently high level of service.

I have mixed feelings about these shoes. They are definitely well constructed and well designed. You slide them on and your first reaction is "ooooooooo...." My problem was the second thoughts. I think I have been wearing platforms so long that these heels had a flexibility that translated to instability for me. The shoes are very light - which in some ways is nice - but again, I have been used to more heft in the heel, so maybe I have gotten lazy about my stride in heels. I am very narrow across the toe as well, so the toe strap was a bit too loose on me, and that did not help. If the shoes came in narrow, though, I would have tried them again. I did expect the arch support to be more substantial, too, but I could have dealt with that.

Couldn't even get them on my feet, so I don't know how they felt. I would recommend buying two sizes up, which unfortunately is not an option for me since I ordered a size 43. Back they go tomorrow.

I found these sandals very heavy, spongy bottoms (couldn't feel the ground) and very plastic like with tons if not all synthetic materials. That was not what I was looking for.

Wanted to keep these and loved the color for summer...too hard for the bottom of my feet (neuropathy).

I miss the Mephisto mobils in Ularia. I have 2 decade-old pairs in bronze and black leather. So comfortable, supportive, and versatile. These ones were far inferior in quality and style. The velcro is really noticeable and awkward looking, especially in the materials and colors/patterns offered. They don't even have them in black leather.

Beautiful little sandal. I too purchased both colors and the grey does seem to be more taupe to me as well. So comfortable and so cute. One of my favorites for the summer. Well worth the money on these.

I love these sandals and own them in more than a few colors. My foot is a bit wide, so the adjustable strap is a great feature. These are a true navy color, so are a good addition to my collection. They're really comfortable and form to your foot the first time you wear them.

I love these sandals. I am a Mephisto fan already and these did not disappoint. They are exactly as pictured and true to size. I slipped them on and wore them all day the first day with no discomfort. The color will go with true reds and dark corals as well.

These shoes are so pretty and I wore them the first day...all day...true to size, full of sparkles, and comfy. And the great thing about Zappos, if they don't fit your feet, you can return them...mine were true to size and I love them!

These are my new go-to everyday sandals. I know this style has been around forever, but I had never ordered them because i thought they were were too hippy-chick for me. Got nude patent leather which I think sleeks them up and cuts down on the "earthy/granola" factor. The comfort and support really can't be beat. Love em. I wear a 5.5 and needed 35 in these.

Gorgeous shoes. A bit tight though...haven't gotten past the blister stage. Maybe should have bought a half size bigger.

Really cute, the texture and color make this sandal seem very current. Love the fit too!

GREAT LOOKING casual sandal. IF the brand fits you. This was the 2nd time I gave Mephisto a go and now I'm just giving up. My foot is a very universally fitted size 5... I mean, 90% of the shoes I try on fit me / I have no bunions, no foot issues. While the length of the shoe is perfect AND the footbed felt wonderful, I find this brand has both a wide and tall toe space and possibly they are made for the 6'2" woman considering the height from the heel base to the ankle straps. 3 stars for poor fit on a very average size 5 shoe, 5'2" woman.

These are so cute -- but the toe post is way toward the front of the shoe. Sadly I returned them. I bought another pair of Mephistos also...same thing. Going back to Birkenstocks.

I have been wearing this style and others from Mephisto for years. I have just loved them & the comfort & support they offer during all day constantly-on-your-feet wear. I just get new ones after I've replaced the insoles (they get smelly) once or twice (before the cork cracks & rubber sole wear out). A local shoe repairman does this for about less fora pair. HOWEVER, the last 3 pair over the last 3 years (1 navy & 2 black) left terrible stains on the top of my feet, regardless of whether I did a break-in period with socks or not. I returned 2, knowing this had never happened in the past 10 - 15 years I've been wearing them, so thought it was a temporary quality control issue. I just kept the last pr., wanting to see when the color stopped transferring to my feet. Well, it's been over a year & every time I wear them (over 30 separate days) it looks like my feet have been severely bruised, & the dye is hard to wash off! I would love to know if others have experienced this with current black/blue Mephistos. My brown ones are about 4 yrs. old, & they don't transfer color.

In my upper 50s with bunions but still love a stylish heeled sandal. I can wear these for hours comfortably but not hiking or over uneven terrain. Color is an updated neutral, too.

I like the style of this shoe, but the strap rubbed the inside of my foot and I could tell a blister would easily appear had I worn the shoe to walk any distance (I just tested it around the inside of my house). The arch support was great, I normally wear a US size 8, I ordered a 38 and the size was perfect.
