The color was a bit lighter than I had expected, but I kept the shoe anyway. The cap toe and outsole doesn't have any stitching, which gives the shoe a super-clean look. I'm a bit concerned about not being able to resole the shoe due to the lack of stitching between the outsole and upper. Also, this shoe picks up scuff marks pretty easily be prepared for the surface to show wear very quickly.

Incredible quality. I usually need to wear leather shoes for several weeks to break them in. I was surprised that these double monk shoes were extremely comfortable right out of the box. They look great and feel great. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. These are the second Massimo Matteo shoes I have ordered on Zappos - awesome brand!

I'll start with saying that I spent a long time picking out a pair of double monk straps, more shopping and comparing than with any other shoe purchase I've ever made. I was initially looking at a pair of Magnanni Miros price at about $325, but they were a little too long and pointy for my taste and the price wasn't fitting me. These Massimos came up and I knew they were it. As soon as I got my hands on them, I knew I made the right choice. I got the rich smell of the Italian leather before I even got both of them completely out of the box. They fit me perfectly at the size I wear all my other loafers and dress shoes at. They felt great, albeit a little stiff around the ankles, but that'll break in I'm sure. The buckles took a second to get on and I'm sure I'll have to get used to that considering I've been sporting the slip-on bit loafers for quite a while. But once they were on, I that was it. They look great, shiny, but not flashy. They feel great, sturdy but comfortable. Yes, like everyone else says, they're a bit slippery out of the gate, but that'll go away I'm sure. Bottom line: I'm more than happy with my purchase and I might get another pair in brown.

Purchased these shoes and was very pleased with them. They are comfortable to wear but I would advise you to scuff the bottoms or apply grips to the soles before wearing in order to reduce slipping.

Very comfortable and fits well. Style looks great. The color is slightly lighter than the picture, but I'm ok with that. As others have noticed, it can be a bit slippery, but it's not unbearable. I'm really happy with this shoe.
