I like the contrasting stitching which is on the black side only. It says it's reversible. Perhaps, if you cut off the neck label and the four little pages of care labels. A bit pricey for what it is.

Outstanding shirt! Great to just throw on but also I wear it when I'm riding and horse lessoning! Great fabric - easy wash & wear!

I have both the jacket and the vest. The arm range of motions is not as good as Patagonia but this is the only flaw. This is a stylish functional non-puffy down piece that looks equally good dressed up or dressed down, which is the major difference from Patagonia. Have tried both brands and they are equally warm. Love the platinum color.

What this jacket lacks in style, it more than makes up for in function. For cooler weather where you need a light layer, this is the perfect jacket. It's wonderful for adventurous outings!

This is a great looking jacket! It boasts 700 fill, nice streamlined look, soft light fleece lining at the upper chest and back area feels nice, comfy compact hood, deep pockets with magnetic closures. It's very light and packable and comes with a stuffing bag. I am 5'6", and the length that hit me right below my knees, the vertical stitching around waist looked pretty good too, I felt like I could wear it with or without the belt, it looked good both ways. The Marmot logo is discreetly shown on the lower sleeve, embroidered in the same color as jacket, so you almost do not even notice it, which I liked. I thought that I found my perfect down jacket! Unfortunately, for Chicago winters this jacket is really not warm enough. I tried it on with two layers underneath (warm cashmere sweater and a long sleeve shirt). It was about 20-25° outside, very little wind - and I could definitely feel the cold sneaking through the sleeves! If the temperatures were any lower/windshield higher, this jacket would not stand a chance even with warmer layers inside, it will be too cold. I am returning it. I Got Mormot's Montreaux 700 fill coat instead - what a difference!

I'm in NY, where the winters have been getting colder and colder with each passing year. I was looking for a coat that would keep me warm in our 17 degree temps. I decided to give Marmot a try. I compared two coats: the Toronto and the Montreaux. The both boast 700 power fill, with down defender. The Montreaux beat the Toronto hands down. In fact, it was no competion. The Toronto is a much better looking coat with its slim profile and belt. But its not looks i'm after. Its more of a packable down coat which means THIN and not much fill. It even comes with a tiny pouch that you can fold the coat into. And i mean TINY. I nearly froze in this coat, even with two layers underneath--thick wool sweater, long sleeve tee. And I was only outside for about 15 minutes. Couldn't do any real city walking in this thing. So sadly, this is going back and I'm keeping the Montreaux.

This shirt looks like it's white and blue, but the color description says granite. Well, it is actually very GRAY. The picture doesn't look anything like what it actually is. I love Zappos, they are very fast to ship and I am always pleased with them, just wantd to point out that the color in the picture is not what it seems!

This is a really attractive, stylish, well made coat, with a lot of small well thought out details in how it is constructed. It is also the only component coat I found that still looks attractive when the two pieces are worn on their own. The one down side is that it is not quite as warm as I had hoped, but because it looks so great, and will still get plenty of use, I am keeping it anyway.

I researched and tried all the top brands except Canada Goose. This jacket is a dream. I have a big chest and a belly but the large ( 38D 157) makes me look elegant and cute. This coat is fantastically warm. It was 30 below in Chicago the other day and I still felt warm. Plus it's waterproof. It's shedding a few feathers but nothing major.

I love this coat! I live in the Boston area and take both the Commuter Rail and subway into the city to work every day. It has been freezing here the past few days (this morning it was 1 degree at 8am) and this coat has kept me super warm, even in the wind. The coat is comfortable and light. The only thing I don't like about it is how high the collar comes up on the sides of your face when you have it zipped all the way up. This coat was worth every penny and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a warm winter coat.

A great coat overall. It has more down and is higher-quality than North Face. I wore it in extreme cold and was toasty warm. A little utilitarian and the platinum colour is rather drab, but nonetheless a fine choice, especially for the money.

I ordered a few shirts for my husband from this brand and was overall very disappointed. He loved the comfort and style but after one wash both shirts shrunk two sizes and one shirt unraveled at the hem.

This jacket is the best. It is super warm but still lightweight. I'm 5'8", 135 lb and got the small - the sleeves are the right length and there is room for a sweater or sweatshirt underneath. Having this jacket had made winter so much better, worth the money.

Wore it outside in 5 degree weather, no wind, no rain/snow and could tell right away it was not warm enough - going back. Fit was nice just too thin and flimsy for the money.

I have waited to write a review on this coat because I wanted to live in it for at least a month first. When I first opened up this coat I thought it was awfully light weight and thin which worried me. I called marmot and they explained its 700 down fill meant that it was going to be light weight but would affect the warmth. I decided to trust them and I tried it - it fit perfectly. I bought an xs in black - for reference I am 5'4 and my weight can vary between 110-115lbs. I am very petite, flat chested and carry most of my weight in my bottom half. The fit of this coat is very flattering and I have enough room to comfortably layer sweatshirts and sweaters underneath if I wanted to. The fleece lined pockets are great and even on 20 degree days I can shove my hands in them if I forget gloves and I am completely fine. So about the actual function of this coat - I live in Boston and walk to work every day so I truly did my research to find a coat that would help me survive this winter. We have had wind, rain, sleet, snow and temperatures ranging from below zero to 45 degrees so far this winter (gotta love new England weather) and I can honestly say that this coat has not failed me once in any situation. Don't be fooled by its light weight build - this coat will keep you toasty warm, it's breathable and is absolutely water/wind resistant (I walk over a bridge on my commute). I personally think the hood is wonderful and even in extremely strong winds it stays on my head. Yes, the jacket does make a bit of a squeaky sound and at first it was aggravating me for a few days. Then I realized that most down coats make at least some type of swishy sound (as I pass many fellow down coat commuters on my way to work) and that I wasn't going to give up on an amazing coat and being protected from the elements because of it making a sound. Also, it doesn't make the noise when I walk. It's mostly just when I am slipping my arms through when putting on the coat. Hope this review helps if you are looking into purchasing this coat!

I love this jacket. Its very light weight. But very very warm. When the weather is in the 40s I can wear just a t-shirt with it and be just fine. Only complaint is minimal feathers started coming out after about the 3rd wear and it's not my everyday jacket.

Bought this coat for my girlfriend for the Illinois winter. She loves it. Keeps her really warm, and surprisingly she even gets hot in cars with the heat blasting (never happened before). The only complaint she has is that the hood doesn't have a drawstring, sometimes the wind pushes it back exposing her face a bit more. All in all, she loves the coat and is very happy with it.

Love this jacket. It is just that, a jacket. Not a coat. But I never need a heavy jacket, so this with its handy hood, is perfect. You can wear it warmer by adding a scarf of any color. Just what I wanted in a jacket, stylish cut, too!

Beautiful jacket, too bad they don't make it anymore. The fit is perfect, and the extra length makes it much warmer and keeps me drier. Even the hood attaches and keeps it shape just right, so rain is kept off my glasses. The cut is stylish, doesn't bell out at the bottom.

This shirt is good looking and soft right out of the package. Once washed, it is a train wreck. I followed the directions, cold water machine wash, no softeners, low heat dry. And it came out a wrinkled ball of a shirt. Because there are two shirts sewn together, they tumble around one another, separate, rejoin in odd places and then stick there (imagine t-shirt bedsheets). It took 10 minutes just to untwist it to find the neck, sleeves and bottom, so that then I could spend 10 more minutes trying to smooth the wrinkles, to no avail. My husband never actually got to wear it to say if it was comfy or not. If it had been only one of the layers, either layer would have been a fantastic shirt. But together, they are too clingy to each other to have a smooth drape. Unless you like your t-shirts sloppy. The green colors are both very handsome. Oh, and there are three white tags throughout the interior of this "reversible" shirt, so it's really not reversible, unless you like your tags, or the stubby ends of the cut-off tags on the outside of your shirt.

Sweet vest! Fits very true to size and keeps me warm enough without it being too warm. Love the black sides; slenderizing.
