Mark Nason Reviews
I ordered this boot because of the design and color. I realize the computer screen doesn't always do justice to real colors, but this boot is more chocolate brown than a dark, almost terra cotta color that I'm seeing here. Also they aren't very comfortable. I like the design and love Mark Nason boots, but going to return these.
Decent boot...a little more square in the front than I had anticipated...a bit out of style in Italy (where I live), but they should work out fine when I travel. I would purchase them again.
Very stylish... Pulled off wearing them with a bold Italian suit. Haven't tried them with jeans, but I am sure they would flatter any outfit. Don't advise wearing these more than a few hours, though.
Yes, the size does seem to run larger. I wear 8 to 8 1/2, and the 8's that I purchased are way to roomy. Too bad because I really liked the boot!
Update: Just got the size 8. Fits perfectly. So these boots actually run a full size larger. I normally wear size 9, but 8 seems to fit just right. Love these.
Mark Nason is a great brand. Beautiful boots. High quality, not as shiny as the photos here indicates (good). Good construction, built to last. Thick soles make you feel an inch taller (well, because you are with them on). I ordered size 9 and it seems a little bigger than normal. Will order size 8.
Bought these from another vendor before I heard of Zappos. These boots are one of my favorite go-to pair. They are very comfortable from the start and very cool looking. They look more distressed than they do in the picture. But you can remove the distressing (it's just white wax) if you don't like it.
Great casual boot. Most of the Nason boots are a bit extreme (which I like). It was good to see one that you can throw on with jeans and a T during the day. I know a lot of people say the boots run narrow but I have never had a problem with that. I will say that I normally wear an 11-11.5 shoes size and I wear these comfortably in a 10.
These boots run at least a full size smaller and narrower than marked. I ordered a size 13 and they feel like a size 12 narrow. They were physically painful to put on. That being said, if they had a larger size and width, I would definitely give them another go. I love the style and look.
Soft and comfortable leather, though with some intentional greying around the edges. I don't know how you'd polish these. Comfortable, but overpriced.
I wanted a boot that was sturdy enough for daily use and sharp enough to wear out at night. Most Mark Nason boots are too "rock'n'roll" for daily wear, but this one is not too ostentatious (the dragon imprint is hardly noticeable - thankfully, in my book). At the same time, it is classier than a work boot, with sleek lines, polished toe area and textured leather elsewhere, but very sturdily built, with a padded and reinforced ankle and solid stitching throughout. I normally wear a 9½ or 10 and tried those sizes, but ended up going with size 9, which fits great.
