After lusting for a pair of red cowboy boots for years, I finally succumbed to these gorgeous Luccheses. Though at first there was some trial and error on the sizing, and I felt a bit like Goldilocks (the Size 6 was just a little too big, and the Size 5 was just a little too small). The 5.5 was a perfect fit right out of the box. After just 3 wearings, these boots have shaped well to my feet and are so comfortable that I can (and often do) put them on first thing in the morning and wear them throughout the day with no problems. They have never given me blisters, which was a problem I had with an old pair of Tony Lama boots. My one complaint is that some of the stitching is messy... at this price, the stitching and all the other detailing should be PERFECT. It's not noticeable from a few feet away, but up close it is obvious that sections of the black thread could have been more neatly stitched.

Perfect fit, right out of the box. No breaking in necessary. Tried them on w/ no socks- felt soft, but do wear a thin sock w/ them. LOVE my red boots!!
Brands I'd also recommend: Luchesse is my fav boot brand (maybe Ariat).

I ordered these boots a year go and just got to wear them for the first time this week. Last year this time, we had an East Coast blizzard and I did not want to wear them in bad weather. They are so beautiful. I got more compliments in one day on these boots than I have ever gotten on anything else. I always wanted red cowgirl boots and if you are looking for "red" this is it. The color is so rich and shiny and look great with my blue jeans. I love these boots! Thank you Zappos!

I love my Luccheses, I've several pairs now. They fit like a glove; I do not need to wear socks, if I do not want. That is how comfortable they are! Love to buy from Zappos; my order is here nearly next day every time.

These are lovely boots, nice shiny red, a tall shaft and beautiful details. Alas, my usual size 7+1/2 was way too large. I do have a narrow foot, and maybe a wide foot would snug down nicely into the pointed toe. The size 7 was not available, so I had to send them back without an exchange.

If you are looking for a red boot this is the one. It is a bright lipstick shade of red. The top is stitched in pattern reminicent of a bandana. Great boots and very comfortable.

I love my bright red Lucchese cowboy boots! The color red is exactly what I was looking for and the boots are so comfortable. Originally I had ordered the Ariat: Heritage Western Boot in Red Deertan because they were less pricey and the circumference listed seemed wide enough for my muscular gymnastics calves. The Ariat boots fit well, but the red color was a little more burnt red than bright red. So I returned them for the Lucchese boots and unfortunately received one perfect boot and one slightly off centered boot that rubbed against one of my ankles. This is why I love Zappos for buying shoes, especially shoes you cannot find in stores nearby! Zappos immediately shipped out another pair of Lucchese boots next day and let me hold on the other pair I had, just in case. And the last pair was perfect so I returned the other two boots hassle free with just the additional charge for the more expensive pair of boots. Yay! It might be strange to call these boots an investment, and they are expensive, but they are so well made and comfortable that I know I will be wearing these for many years to come. Fit true to size for me and comfortable enough to wear for hours. My favorite pair of boots so far!

These are the most awesome boots! This is my first pair of Lucchese and they literally fit like a glove. They don\'t even have to be broken in. So many of the boots I have tried seem to slip a lot in my heel, but not these. They fit like the were custom made for my feet. I will definitely buy more Lucchese boots in the future! Beautifully made and very high quality. They actually look much more expensive than they were.

These boots are absolutely gorgeous. The color is so rich and a true red. I love that they are shiny too. Unfortunately I don\'t think I\'m going to be keeping them. I have a bit of a wide foot and I find these a little narrow for my right foot (which is bigger than my left). I\'m so bummed because I just love them. The only place that they are tight is across my toes. Other than that they fit nicely. I did find the length to be true to size.

These are beautiful boots! This is my first pair of cowgirl boots and so far I am very pleased. I have narrow feet and the fit is accurate. I agree with other reviewers that it takes some time walking around the house before the boots start to "mold" to one's feet and not feel awkward. I also like that the red is true red and not a "burnt" version. These are well worth the cost.

So I've been coveting these boots for a while now and finally broke down and bought them. I wear Dansko clogs 98% of the time so I was leary about how these boots would fit and feel. WOW!! I put these one and it was like they were made for me. I bought a size 10 even though I wear a 9.5 but I figured I'd be wearing thicker socks and if I wanted to put gel inserts in I'd need the extra wiggle room. Well no need for the inserts, these boots are so comfortable. I wore them all day with no pain, rubbed spots, nada. And the bonus? They aren't sock eaters!!! I hate shoes that eat your socks and all day long you're having to take your shoe off to pull them back up. Phenomenal boot and now I'm looking for green ones. :)

These boots are more gorgeous than I expected. They are devil red and super pointy. I have a very high arch and instep, so at first I had a hard time putting them on and taking them off. The leather is so incredible though, they were already shaping to my feet after the first wearing, and now are much easier to put on and wear well.

These are great boots! A true red and lots of pizzazz! I generally wear an 8.5, that's what I ordered and they fit perfectly. My foot is slightly wide, but not wide enough for a wide shoe, so I was concerned after reading the other reviews. But the leather molded to my foot on the first wearing. No blisters rubbing, or any discomfort - they felt as if I'd been wearing them forever. Very comfortable! They look fabulous with a denim pencil skirt or tucked into jeans. Definitely attention getters! This is my first pair of Lucchese boots, and I'll definitely buy more.

A girl has got to treat herself on her birthday! So, it was a BIG birthday yesterday. I ordered the boots weeks ago. They sat in the box, just waiting for the big day. The birthday day arrived... I pulled on those new Calvin Klein jeans, pulled on the most awesome, lipstick red, perfect fit, perfect heel height, Lucchese boots...out to lunch with fabulous friends and my two sons...then wore them all day long...then out to dinner with more fabulous friends and family...lots of compliments...lots of affirmation that THESE BOOTS are the perfect answer for a BIG birthday. By the way, I ordered these boots when I was vacationing in New Mexico...and when I arrived back in Florida the next day, the boots were waiting for me! Zappos has the best service of any company!

Best boots ever - I love these boots - receive compliments whenever I wear them! I ended up in a size smaller than I would normally wear and the fit is great (the return process for the different size was smooth as could be and even the telephone operators are nice at Zappos!)
