Overall:

The thing I value about Zappos is their return policy, the quality of the merchandise, and the efficient ordering process. Oh! Last but not least, I love their quick response to my orders! I recently ordered a pair of boots in a size 8. When they got here, 2 days later, I began to wonder if the 7 1/2 boot size would give me a better fit. I went online, ordered the smaller size, and in 1 1/2 days I was able to make the decision by comparing which boot gave me the best fit. With the label and information that was included, I returned the pair of boots that I didn't want and was happy with my choice. I never had to leave my home, I never had to haggle with someone over the phone or listen to several voice messages to get the right person. I love the ease, convenience, and quality Zappos offers to me as a customer every time. Thank you to everyone who works for this company. I believe you do care that the customer is happy!

I love my bright red Lucchese cowboy boots! The color red is exactly what I was looking for and the boots are so comfortable. Originally I had ordered the Ariat: Heritage Western Boot in Red Deertan because they were less pricey and the circumference listed seemed wide enough for my muscular gymnastics calves. The Ariat boots fit well, but the red color was a little more burnt red than bright red. So I returned them for the Lucchese boots and unfortunately received one perfect boot and one slightly off centered boot that rubbed against one of my ankles. This is why I love Zappos for buying shoes, especially shoes you cannot find in stores nearby! Zappos immediately shipped out another pair of Lucchese boots next day and let me hold on the other pair I had, just in case. And the last pair was perfect so I returned the other two boots hassle free with just the additional charge for the more expensive pair of boots. Yay! It might be strange to call these boots an investment, and they are expensive, but they are so well made and comfortable that I know I will be wearing these for many years to come. Fit true to size for me and comfortable enough to wear for hours. My favorite pair of boots so far!

These boots are soft but sturdy with nice quality stitching decoration. They required very little "breaking in".

I ordered a total of 8 (yeah, not a misprint) boots. That's what I love about Zappos: easy & free returns. Anyway, these boots were the least expensive, but the most comfortable. I kept trying boots on and off at night when I came home from work. Slowly I eliminated one by one depending on the look first then comfort. I kept going back & forth between a pair of gators and a pair of tan lizards and decided on the gators. Packed the remainders for shipping back, but put these back on (Tan Mad-dog) and realized they were really the most comfortable. So, since these are more casual then the gators I kept them also. Great fit & look great, too!

Love these boots! I have several pair of Lucchese boots and they are the best. This pair is very comfortable and really good looking! Anytime that I have them on, I get many (nice) compliments. I would tell anyone, go for it.

These are my first pair of Lucchese and they are fantastic. I have a high instep, so I bought a wide. I have no problem getting my foot in and they are super comfortable. Would definitely recommend this brand.

What a nightmare! This is my second pair from Lucchese that has had a major malfunction. The left boot is so loose that I have to stuff paper towels into it to keep it from falling off when I walk. The Lucchese fit guide advises that heel slip is normal and that as the sole breaks in the problem will resolve. No, actually, as they break-in, the boot gets looser and looser, and, just when I think it isn't possible, the boot becomes looser still. Wrong size? Well, I don't know, the right side is so tight, my foot is bloody and swollen. By the by, the problem with my first Lucchese boot was that I special ordered the water and stain repellent Lucchese recommends on their website, I used it as directed, and it rolled off the toe area pooling on either side and creating a striped pattern on the top of the boot. Nice! My email to the much ballyhooed Lucchese Customer Service department went unanswered. I've had $25 dollar boots that fit better than these dogs! Gives whole new meaning to the slogan, "No boot fits the human foot like Lucchese."

These boots are great! Just the right amount of distressed leather to make them look like you've had them a while. They run a half size large. The heel slips the tiniest bit when you first try them, don't let that discourage you, once the sole gets broken in, they will be the only thing you'll want to wear! I love these boots!

Truly the best cowboy boots ever (although they call them Ranch boots due to a lower heel, meant for walking). Lucchese boots are the most comfortable boots made and worth every penny. Beautifully made both inside and out. I put these on the very first day I bought them and walked around in them all day. There will be heel slip in the beginning, but as they mold to your feet that stops and they will fit like a glove and feel like slippers. Can't recommend these enough.

Love this boot. Fits true to size for me, I generally wear a 9 and the 9 fit perfectly. It is a bit snug and tight around the lower ankle, top part of foot, but I feel this will relax with wear. Zappos is amazing and fast. Did I mention that I love this boot!

I received these Lucchese boots today & to my disappointment the boots didn't fit. The size 8 is not true in either width nor length. I promptly requested a shipping label for return. Thankfully Zappos offers free shipping and returns. I am going to try the Ariat rather than go to a size 9; they have better arch support and are not as narrow. My left foot was so scrunched (it felt like I was trying to fit in a size 7), and the right seemed almost as if it had been tried before as it was looser but still not a good fit. I hope to have better luck with my next order. I recommend you go a half to a full size larger if you purchase these boots. Overall, the boots have beautiful stitching and are as pretty as pictured.

These boots wear like sneakers. The colors are great because you can wear them with just about anything. The sizes do run a little large so I would order a half size smaller than usual. You don\'t want them to rub your heel.

I'm absolutely in love with these boots! I didn't think they would be my style, but they look great with everything: skirts, jeans, etc. I thought all the reviewers were exaggerating about how comfortable they are, but that was no exaggeration. These are the most comfortable shoes I own in addition to a pair of Asics sneakers. Just got a compliment on these yesterday at Starbucks. They are completely worth the money.

These boots rock! Everyone noticed them and made a comment. I have a wide foot and was worried my normal size wouldn\'t fit but they were perfect right out of the box. I like the fit better than Old Gringo which I have worn in the past. The staff as always was very helpful and sent them overnight without charge. Thanks Zappo\'s!

This is the third pair of Luccheses I've ordered, and the best. I actually bought these a couple of years ago, for full price, but returned them because they had some irregularities. I bought a different pair of 1883s on sale in black and loved them. Then I splurged last year and bought a pair of Lucchese Classics (also on sale); they are really gorgeous, but ironically, not nearly as comfortable as the 1883s. I realized that for my narrow, thin feet the 1883s were the way to go, so when I saw these on sale, I pounced. Well, they arrived just in time for the World Series (Go, Phils!), and they are exquisite. Gorgeous, comfortable and the envy of all my friends. When I die, I intend to be buried in these boots. Oh, and Zappos rocks. Best service ever. We joke at my house that they're like stalkers: Your shoes will arrive at your house before you're done hitting the Send button on your computer.

I LOVE these boots! They fit like a glove and didn't require any breaking in. I was concerned about the sizing...thought I might need to go up a 1/2 size. But I ordered my correct size and they are the most comfortable shoes I own! The color is a deep red, almost brownish so they actually go well with many things. I am tempted to order another pair in a different color. I am so delighted to have experienced such a quality boot. Shipping was fast as well. I get compliments every time I wear them! Go for it!

Great boots. Just jazzy enough to look Western, but still in good taste. Also go with black or denim jeans because of the stitching on the black boot. I have a narrow foot and small, but can wear these comfortably with the aid of thin socks.

These are even more fabulous than the look in the picture: wonderful craftsmanship, beautiful leather, and the colors are just gorgeous. They are a generous fit (I got a six, and it is a "six with socks", i.e., not very snug), so you may want to try a few sizes to get it right. I love mine and have already gotten compliments!

These boots are wonderful! The fit is true to size and I was able to wear them with very little breaking-in. They are a great color and the goatskin has a beautiful finish. If you want a great cowboy boot in a beautiful dark brown color, treat yourself to these - you won\'t be sorry. Zappos was its usual superb shopping experience with fast overnight delivery.

These boots are so comfortable, right out of the box! They are true to size, with a tiny bit of slippage in the heel. However, it he heel were tighter, they would be tough to get on and off. The leather is really soft and very high quality, as is the craftsmanship. These will undoubtedly be my favorite boots this winter!

I\'ve been wanting a pair of Lucchese boots for some time now, and I chose these for both the color and simplicity of style. The color itself is a beautiful brown color, more of a chestnut than a mahogany, if you\'re looking for a comparison. I get compliments on these boots from everyone, as well as jealousy when they feel the suppleness of the leather and hear me talk about how outright comfortable they are.\r\n\r\nWhen I bought these boots, my husband swore I would never wear them more than once, but since I was buying them with my half of some money we\'d won in Vegas, there wasn\'t much he could say. 6 weeks later, he\'s admitted he\'s wrong. I wear these boots everywhere!\r\n\r\nI\'m a frequent traveler, and I wear them for both everyday wear and travel. I\'ve worn them through airports, on the plane, on long roadtrips (where I was driving), shopping, walking through muddy fields and a variety of other activities in both dry weather and wet, for both nice activities and everyday activities. The boots have kept my feet stylish and warm, while being extremely comfortable through hours of wear. \r\n\r\nFor sizing, I generally (almost always) wear an 8, though I can sometimes fit into a 7 1/2. I ordered an 8 in this boot and it was absolutely perfect. When you first put them on, they should feel slightly snug around your foot, with slippage in the heel. As you break them in, they mold to your foot and loosen enough for comfort, but not so much that they\'re too big. The slippage in the heel is essential because that\'s part of what makes boots comfortable. If they\'re not slipping on your heel, but are so snug in that area that they\'re almost "stuck" then you\'re never going to be comfortable in them and will probably experience blisters. \r\n\r\nI can\'t rate this boot high enough or tell you how much I love it, except to say I asked for a black pair of Lucchese boots for Christmas!
