These are the best boots ever! They look great, feel great, and I get compliments every time that I wear them. I am so glad that I spent the extra money to get a quality pair of boots. I like them so much that I want to buy another pair to keep on reserve.

There is nothing like a Lucchese boot. I've kept this pair of boots on my radar and over the weekend I noticed they were on sale. Love the fit of the 5/4 and pointy toe, but usually I order a size 10. Took a chance on the 9.5 and I love the fit- which is just a little snug in the right boot. Will wear them for short outings to stretch and mold my foot. Styling is incredible, but in a cool, hip, understated way. Dark brown with lovely tooled worked and great attention to the tooling details. Another winner for this boot obsessed woman! Thank you Zappos for this "find" and made in Texas also. You are the best in the business for customer service. Rock On!

I tried these boots in a store while traveling and the half size down recommendation was right on (I tried a 7 and wear a 7.5 street shoe). Couldn't quite justify the price and did not buy, but months later I decided to purchase. Zappos sadly did not have my size and no more on order, so I ordered from another store. Exact same issue that some folks have noted here - the right boot only was too tight, both when making the turn and even after it was on. I found another pair, another store, and this pair was better. The right boot was still a little tighter but much more doable. The odd thing is that my left foot is actually bigger than the right, so I think there is something strange occurring in the Lucchese manufacturing process for this boot. Have not had this problem with any other Lucchese boots (only own one other pair but I do try them on in stores and yearn). All in all, though a really beautiful boot. It just might take a few tries to find a pair that really works fit-wise.

While I waited over 6 months for these boots to come back in was disappointed to find that the new batch is very dark - the older ones were a beautiful red boot. I see that the pictures have now been changed to reflect the new color -sadly they are going back. Was looking for a Red distressed boot.

Okay, read carefully. This is the best brand of boot you will ever buy. Period. I know they are expensive, that's why they are the best fitting, best style, boot on this planet.

These boots are absolutely gorgeous! And so comfortable. I bought them to wear with my wedding dress and my colors are ivory, purple and burlap. I LOVE them so much!! They are perfect. And even more beautiful in person. The purple on the shaft is a rich deep purple - the picture does not do it justice!

My husband loves them. He flew from Atlanta to Dallas and back. He had 6 people on his trip stop him and tell him how much they liked his boots. Only problem he had was that the left one was really hard to get on. Y'all offered to stretch it if we sent it back, but after several wears it is fine.

I bought these to wear next fall to UT football games. But they have been so comfy and already broken in that I have been wearing them around tone and out in the evenings. They have a very worn look and feel, and they are not stiff at all. I had no blisters from the first wear. They do appear lighter in color than pictured but they are very pretty. If you want a boot that is western but not outlandish in color like a lot of the ladies boots, this is the pair for you.

I thought these boots were so unique and beautiful, I just had to get them! I wear a size 9 but had to exchange them for an 8.5, and the boots feel comfortable right out of box with no breaking in. I like how the shaft is more narrow (not flared) for a more sleek sophisticated look. Great silhouette with bit of heel, toe does not feel too 'pointy'. The colors are rich and subtle, classy. Photo is accurate. Deep rich burgundy and soft subtle gray/tan cheetah...with little sparkles of crystals here and there - not overdone.

I am very happy with my first pair of boots. After a couple hours of breaking them in, they felt very comfortable. The style cannot be beat. I am even considering getting another pair of Luccheses.

I bought these boots for my husband for father's day and our anniversary -- it was the first boot/shoe I bought for him from Zappos and what a hit! They were beautiful! Because he is a diabetic and his feet swell, I worried about the fit. When he slipped into them, he needed an insert to make them fit -- but after that they were perfect. He wore them for 2 hours dancing the first night -- but had to change to another boot because his feet were swelling. He said the leather is soft enough to stretch and after they are broke-in to his feet, he won't have to change. These are classic, sexy cowboy boots and you can't go wrong getting them for your man!

I have been eyeing these for a very long time! I wore them on the first day for 8 hours and they were so very comfortable. They were great on the dance floor and even riding a mechanical bull. I was walking all over the place and I felt powerful in these boots!

I have been very happy with these Lucchese 1883 boots. The vamp is made of sharkskin and the shaft is made of leather. Relative to cow leather, sharkskin is a thinner and tougher leather. Don't let the tougher part scare you though. On your feet, the boots flex well, are quite comfortable, and fit my feel like gloves. The sharkskin can stand up to a fair amount of abuse and abrasion and not show it. After a quick conditioning, they will return to a gleaming polish. The shaft leather is comfortable, but not super soft. This helps the boots hold their shape. It flexes well around the ankle with no rubbing though and I am comfortable wearing these boots with a thin pair of cotton athletic socks. (No wool necessary.) Overall, these boots are great for someone who wants an exotic leather that has a subtler look. They are less flashy and significantly more durable than lizard skin.

For reference, I wear size 10C in Allen Edmonds dress shoes, so my feet are a bit narrow (definitely not fat or wide!). For my other athletic shoes and hiking boots, I wear size 10. The accompanying Lucchese video recommends starting at half a size smaller, thus, I started at 9½. I found 9½ to be a bit too large, even with Superfeet Green size D insoles, after wearing them on the carpet some. I exchanged for some size 9 with the aforementioned Superfeet insoles, size 9 is perfect for me. Without the insoles, there really is no arch support and they would be a bit too loose over the front of my foot (For reference, I wear Sole insoles in my hiking boots and Superfeet insoles in my dress, athletic shoes, ski boots, and these boots). These Lucchese M1018.C2 boots are perfect for casual or dress up. everyone raves about them when they see them. You cannot go wrong with these boots.

I have never spent more than $200 on any sort of footwear. I ordered these out of a crazy, crazy whim and frankly intended to return them after trying them on. Then I put them on, first off I have never worn a shoe, much less a boot so supple, it was like putting my foot in butter. The design, color, etc is amazing. Once I put them on there was zero chance of returning them.

I probably have one of the hardest feet to fit to a western boot. I have tried so many different styles and sizes with little luck. I am one, who fits in a larger tennis shoe (anywhere from 11-12) but must downsize in any fitted shoe, especially if not laced. In these boots, a size 10 does it for me, but I would still speak to the brand as true to size. I just have a hard foot to fit. Because of snugness though, maybe these are a bit smaller than average. The front of my foot is wide, with a skinny heel and high arches. The instep of a correctly sized boot is usually still too much for my foot. These boots are different! I saw one review say they fit like a glove. This is true. Right when I put them on, I was able to walk in them with minimal heal slippage, great glove-like instep, and no cramping of the toes. As for quality, these are Lucchese, so the quality is there! The design is fine: shaft is a bit shorter style and not particularly rigid. They look great! Good luck, you'll love them!

These boots were pretty, but not the quality I expected from Lucchese given all the raves. I have a pair of Old Gringos (the 10" Leopardito) plus multiple pairs of Fryes to compare these to. I doubt I'd try another pair of Luccheses, even at the discount price I found them at on Amazon.com (shipped in a Zappos box, no less). They are much darker green than I expected (I've read reviews elsewhere that said these were almost grey, which would have been nice, but they were very blue-green. Pics on this website are pretty true to the color I received.) Right out of the box, the soles showed some minor chipping around the edge which made me wonder how well they would hold up to actual wear. The real deal-breaker was that these were just not comfortable, nor seemed likely to be. They were very difficult to get on and off due to a shaft that was really too narrow for a size 10 foot. I could not get them on with socks but had to go barefoot. Like a lot of boots, once I got my feet into them, the footbed itself was a perfect fit. Unfortunately, they were so stiff and uncomfortable around the ankles that I felt the break in period would be long and torturous so I sent them back.

I've owned other boots, but none as comfortable as Luccheses. These are gray with cool green stitching - a more casual alternative to black. Great boots, great service from Zappos.

I really like the boots. They fit perfectly once I got them on. These boots have a very narrow shaft for my size 14 foot and ankle. I use baby powder on the front and the back of the shaft in order to slide into the boot.

Took me 3 tries to find a pair of boots. I have not worn cowboy boots for years. My understanding now is that Lucchese boots run just a bit narrow. Turns out I am right on the edge needing wide shoes. I was able to get my normal shoe size which is 10.5 with these square toe wide boots. The great thing is that Zappos happily takes your return and credits your account while you get the size right. I have bought almost every pair of shoes I have purchased in the last 5 years from Zappos since they make it so easy. The price was also very competitive. Thanks Zappos.
