My sister who works in a hospital recommended Dansko for keeping your feet happy. Tried one of their clogs, but they kept falling off my feet (high arches) and are NOT good for going up and down stairs. So I took a chance and got this style. The Kappy is excellent and you can wear this shoe for those days when you will be on your feet all day. Not a great looking shoe, but my feet like them. Got them in green just to keep it interesting. Excellent arch support and really comfy!

Love, love, love my shoes! The fit was perfect - very comfortable. They look really sharp. The only negative that I have is that it is easy to leave fingerprints on the shoes, but that was easy to remove with a soft cloth.

These shoes are very comfortable and useful for casual wear. On sale they were a great deal.
About Loafers
Loafers, also known as slip-ons, began life as casual moccasin-style slippers and have since evolved into many varieties of styles. Loafers have become widely accepted and worn for almost any occasion, although lace-ups are still reserved for the most formal of settings. Loafers are always lace-less, are usually low-cut, and expose a greater area of the upper foot. Dress loafers, however, look just like their Oxford cousins but with stretch material on the sides of the instep to create a snug fit and enough flex to put them on and take them off. The loafer has become a beloved shoe style the world over.Men’s dress loafers combine the formality of a traditional oxford with the sensibilities of a slip-on. Some actually prefer the dress loafer over a dress lace-up because of the less cluttered look and cleaner lines. These characteristics are especially evident in brands such as Florsheim, Johnston & Murphy and Allen-Edmonds. No well-dressed gentleman should be without two or three pairs of dress loafers in their closet.
Women’s loafers are most commonly seen with a kiltie tassel on the vamp part of the shoe. The penny strap loafer is a traditionally a moccasin-style loafer. The penny strap has become a regular in the workplace and is widely worn by teachers and other professionals. AK Anne Klein® and Geox® have a wide variety of these popular styles.
The most common material used in the manufacture of loafers is leather. True moccasin loafers are usually made with suede leather. Leather is durable and holds up well to the flexible nature of loafers. Ornamentation often includes metallic rings across the vamp, kiltie tassels, faux laces and buckles. Many loafers adopt styling from their lace-up brethren, such as wing tips and bicycle toes.
Loafers have taken a rightful place in the wide world of shoes and they enjoy a huge, loyal following. Consumers can choose just about any style imagined. Loafers can be fun, flirty, dressy, casual, sassy, sophisticated or sporty. They’re great for lounging, playing and working. Yes, loafers have come a long way, and they’re here to stay!
