I really like these boots! They are actually really comfortable and look well made to me. The scrunching is great. At first when I realized that the scrunching pattern was different for each boot, I was a little dismayed but I got over my OCD-ness and now I don't mind it, it looks fine. I do think they are smaller than most boots. I almost always wear a size 6.5 and had to exchange them for a 7. The circumference of the shaft is just a bit tight for me. I have muscular calves though and I had thought they measured 15 inches and these say they are 15.5 inches. They have stretched out a bit so they are now more comfortable. I have gotten a lot of compliments on these shoes!

I love the boot - they are incredibly comfy, cute, and look great - no big gap at the top of the shaft like so many boots. But the right boot is so much smaller than the left that I have to return them. I'm sad about that!

These boots are great! Love the fit and the look. They are very comfortable. I usually wear an 8 but in reading the other reviews I followed the suggestion to go up 1/2 size and they fit perfect. They are great with skinny jeans and my athletic calves.

These shoes have exceeded my expectations. They provide superior comfort and quality. My whole office smelled like leather when I opened the box. I needed causal black shoes and these are perfect for business casual, going out, or walking on trails,as they provide great traction. They are well crafted and more comfortable than my favorite Merrel outdoor shoes.

I purchased these shoes an entire size bigger & still wished I would have done another 1/2 size larger. These are beautiful shoes, well made, very light, and comfortable. However, if you wear a size 5.5, order a 7!

This is a good-looking shoe, but the wedge on it makes your foot feel like it's sliding downhill constantly, so my toes felt like they were getting crammed into the toe of the shoe. If it weren't for this issue, would have kept the shoes for sure!

These shoes look great but they run at least one size too big if not more. Unfortunately they do not come in a smaller size than what I ordered so I had to return the pair. I cannot comment on the comfort level of the shoes since I could not wear them around so please take my 3 star rating on comfort with a grain of salt.

I love this boot. I probably could've used a 1/2 size bigger, but it's extremely comfortable.

Great boots! I'm not having any of the problems described in other reviews, but I've only had mine for 2 months...? I also found they were stiff at first, but after a few wears, that feeling went away completely. These are great everyday boots, even in the PNW rain. I weatherproofed mine (as I do with all my boots) before wearing, so I'm not sure if that's preventing more wear? I wear mine with jeans to work, with miniskirts and tights...they work equally well and are super comfy to boot (ha!). Love the sweater touch at the top, it's probably my favorite detail.

I'm moderately happy with these shoes, enough so that I kept them. I was surprised that the sole is a somewhat hard plastic -- in the photo it looks like it would be more to the rubbery/grippy side of the equation. When you walk across a tile floor, they slap a bit. The insole is somewhat inadequate and has no arch support. I put a rigid athletic insert into the shoe since it's completely flat inside. While I normally have to do this in shoes due to my size 7B foot, in this case it was also necessary to improve comfort. The greenish-brown distressed leather is nicely done, tho' the finish on the toe area quickly (within the first 2 weeks) has shown additional wear. Despite all of this, I like the style. Consider it recommended with caveats.

Fits great and looks even better. I put toe caps over the nail to stop my wood floors from getting scratched. Otherwise, a great shoe!

I have two pairs of Lassen boots, and have the same problem with the side rubbing against my ankle when I walk. This means I have to put on a Band-Aid to keep the inner side of the shoe from rubbing against the ankle bone (the bone that protrudes on the side of my foot). I am also short (5') so that means I have to take these to the shoe repairman to cut the length 1½" shorter so the top of the boots do not rub against the lower end of my knees. I have arched feet so I have to add an arch support insert. On the up side, I always get compliments for my Lassen boots. I plan to wear my new pair to Paris this April.

Love these boots. They are comfortable with moderate support. The heel height is just right for me and they look great. Look good with jeans in the boot or out (boot cut).

I love these boots! They are very comfortable and have extra cushioning in the heel so they are a dream to walk in. They look as good if not better in person!

So disappointed! I bought a size 9 & while the footbed is extremely comfortable, I couldn't zip these up at all. I don't have huge ankles! I have average sized ankles but the ankle area of these shoes is super narrow! So bummed.

Got these in brown last year, & just came back to get another pair of each color. Look great with jeans, Western-inspired without looking too cowboy. Soft leather, not stiff or bulky. Exactly what I was looking for. Love.

Nice shoe, but runs very small. My foot is a 7 1/2 but with this shoe, my heel actually hangs off the end. I'm not even sure a 1/2 size up would fit. Sending back for a bigger size, 8 and 8 1/2.

All shoes should feel like this! It's true what they say about getting a slightly larger size. But the comfort is amazing!
