Lakai Reviews
These are seriously the most comfortable and hottest looking sneakers around. Lakai has really hit it out of the park with the Mariano.
I do not recommend this shoe. My older son got the suede version, and they're great. My younger son wanted the same, but I could only find this canvas Lakai in his size with the same colors. The shoes were completely spent within 2 weeks. Holes in both toes and the entire front is fraying on both shoes. Stylish, but waste of money!
These are a great style, they feel awesome and they break in very nicely. Once you get the lace tightness perfect and break them in they will never slip off even a smidge. They usually last well over a year as long as you do not drag your feet at all.
Very nice shoe. Great look! First time buying this brand, would buy again. As with most skate shoes, will need some breaking in.
Just got these a couple days ago. I'm going to be honest: I basically just got these for the orange/blue line/gum color. Sadly, it's not as vibrant and rich in real life; a little more dull. A bit more peachy, shall we say. Still, if you're the sort of person who thinks they can get away wearing outrageously orange shoes, you'll be OK. I've been informed these shoes are roughly as loud as a bass hit you feel in your chest, so they seem to be working as intended. These were stiff in the front top in the beginning, but seem to be softening up now. Other than that they seem pretty comfy.
I freakin' love these shoes. The insoles, arch support, and shoe build are solid. I normally cannot fit into Converse-style shoes because my feet are so wide, but these shoes provide just enough room for me fit in. Overall I was impressed with the feeling of quality - seems like they will hold up for the duration.
Shoes fit true to size. They're not quite as comfortable as my Vans are, but just a notch below. Good shoes and they have a removable insert so you can put more arch support in there if needed. This is my first pair of Lakai's and I would buy another pair later.
Great shoes, super comfortable! Unfortunately I live in New England so it hasn't been nice enough to actually skate with them yet but from the other reviews I read, I was a fool not to buy two pairs because of how good they are. Oh yeah, and Zappos got them to me in like 48 hours with free shipping. Zappos, you are my favorite.

Very comfortable and stylish shoe. Flexible, but still a good stiff sole. Clean looking shoe, and the white logo really pops off the deep blue.
They are a nice knock around comfortable shoe. I have a similar pair of Nike shoes that are not nearly as comfortable. It does have moderate arches which are tolerable for those of us with flat feet.
These shoes are the best Lakais that I have had so far! They are still looking new and it has been almost a year, no rips and super lightweight, if you did not know some of the colorways are new, and improved, so they should skate even better. The only thing is my tread died out where I pivited a few weeks ago, but it has been 10 months.
I've never ordered from Zappos myself, but I've never heard a bad thing about them. As for the shoes, I love them. They break in so easily and are quite durable (I used to skate, but not so much anymore, there aren't too many spots around here) but I usually go through a pair of shoes about every other month or so. The last pair of these I bought have lasted me about six months and that's through building vendor's mall and going on hundreds of trips to place A/C units. So these are a definite buy and I'm going to cut this short so I can order my new pair.
If you plan on skating the Manchester selects, only get the ones that don't have the stitch-on lakai symbol. some color-ways have the banana-peel lakai symbol that requires instant shoe-goo ing. if you get the ones that just have an embroidery on the side, they do great. even if you get that peel off lakai symbol, they are good shoes. they skate well after a little breaking in and they last long enough for the sale price.

Awesome shoe, I was worried they would be tacky with the glowing in the dark thing, but only the lace holes glow, and not very much. The sides are not sequins as one of my friends thought when he looked at it, and they look much better with the black laces they come with. Just thought I'd clear some stuff up about reservations I had before I bought them. Oh, one other thing they are a little bit shallow, it might be hard to get into them at first.
Let me start by saying these are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes i have ever worn. The padding is amazing and the tongue has elastics that connect to the inside, so it is always snug against the top of your foot. I highly recommend these shoes!
Lakai shoes are my son's favorites so we knew what we were getting when we ordered. Once they are worn in they are like slippers to him and he never takes them off. I had to plead with him to throw the old ones out after they bacame worn and the sole became detached. FYI I love to order from zappos because everything arrives so quickly and it is hassle free. I always look forward to their humorous emails telling me when to expect their delivery. Must be fun to work there!
My son was surprised when he opened up his box of Lakai Manchester Shoes! He loves them and was so happy that I found them for him.
The material is very cheap and breaks easily. The bottom part of the shoe wore down in less than a month and the fabric on the top ripped open.
Sweet! I have had four pairs of these now, and they are my favorite low top skate shoe. Just bought a pair of the chocolate edition, and they look sick! These shoes are incredibly durable, despite what has been said about Lakai. I have four pairs of these, and I bought one almost two years ago, and they are still going strong! Basically, buy it!
These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. Felt true to size and even had a little arch support, which you don't always find in skate-style shoes. These are my first pair of Lakai shoes, but they won't be my last. Oh, and Zappos, they have fantastic customer service.

Lakai has been built around grass roots tradition since day one. In 1993, Mike Carroll and Rick Howard thought they might have a better formula for a skateboard company--- one that made products the team would be proud of and kept an atmosphere that was supportive and motivating. While it was a risk, they felt like they owed it to skateboarding and skateboarders to take that risk. In 1999, facing a similar situation in respect to footwear, Mike and Rick introduced Lakai Limited Footwear with the same dedication and pride they have always invested into their skateboarding and the Girl/Chocolate
