It is a really great shoe of what people say. Mo Knows is the same Manchester select (black), but with red also! What really puts it into a different position is the extra padding. What we don't know is that there is also memory foam for us to immediately break the shoe in. It also helps us retain that shape for better boarding. I highly recommend them, but do not skate in them the first day. I got a couple of scratches on the Lakai sign from doing a couple of heelflips.

Rips, I have had these shoes for about two weeks and have not skated in them at all. They are horrible. I have gotten small rips in the bottom. I don't recommend.

I have ordered many sneakers from Zappos.com for my child in the last two years and he loves that he can find sneakers on this website that he can't find on any others or even in stores. He has a small foot and couldn't find these sneakers anywhere in his size except here. He loves the comfort and the look. Very happy with the purchase. I love the speedy shippment. The shoes were sent in great condition, clean, no scuff marks or any glue stuck to the shoes as we have seen on purchases from other websites or even from the store. We will continue to shop with zappos were very happy with everything!

This is my all time favorite shoes, I have gotten four pairs already, all black ones from Zappos. It is like stepping in clouds except that it feels sturdy. Skating wise, it is great. It is not too thick like Circas or Nike SB and not too thin like Vans' Chukka Low. It provides great heel protection. It doe snot last very long if you skate everyday, around one to one and a half months. But it is cheap, and worth it!

These shoes are so good. I broke them in, in one day. They look cool and feel so comfortable. They are great for skating and they have a lot of board feel. The only bad thing about them is that the toe cap ripped pretty easily but besides that they are amazing.

When it's time for new shoes for two teenage boys, we find that the easiest way to shop is online, ordering a variety of sizes and brands and returning what doesn't work. We stumbled upon these inadvertently and they turned out to be a hit. We enjoyed the serendipity of not knowing what exactly we were getting in a "recycled" shoe. This is a great quality shoe and my 13 year old loves them. They have just the right balance of coolness and not too outrageous (no pink or neon colors). Take advantage of the Zappos free shipping both ways - you do not have much to lose.

I'm not a skateboarder. I'm a fifty year old guy who always wore whatever high-top white tennis shoes that happened to be on sale at "Big Five" under a pair of blue Levi's and a long sleeved T-shirt. The new girlfriend convinced me to stop being so dull, and we found the Lakai Grey Suede shoes that instantly became my everyday favorites. The third day I wore them, a couple of guys in their early twenties stopped me in front of Safeway to ask me what brand they were and where I bought them. That's the first time in my life that a stranger complimented my shoes when I was just walking down the street. And that's a true story! And yes, since then, I've added 2 more pairs of Lakai Telfords to my wardrobe.

I purchased these shoes for my son about 3 weeks ago, and they are falling apart. The bottom of the sole has a hole in it and the side is ripped out. I would not buy these shoes again.

Great shoe. Footbraking will rub through the sole quick if you longboard. Grippy, good looking, but they get really weird looking when they are broken in.

Theses are great. I've had them for about a month. There's only a tiny tear on the side of the shoe. If you were to get Lakais, I suggest these ones.

These shoes are pretty sick - great shape, classic look, nice feel, a pretty thin shoe, width is a plus because nobody likes fat shoes, excellent board feel, good grip on the bottom, great grip up top, pretty durable, the laces do alright, the eyestay (where the lace holes are) gets unstitched a lil bit. My only beef is the shock absorbing… this shoe has got an eva insole that bottoms out in a matter of days, and the heel protection is called equaform, and it’s like, a wedge of hard polyurethane that goes in the heel and doesn’t do too much.

Not that good for hard core skating - pretty kewl, not the best. Skated them for a whole week totally hard core; wore down the kickflip whole in the ollies already. Not good.

Comfortable, but not so durable. These shoes look awesome and skate great. They are very grippy, that is, until it starts to wear down. I’ve had these for a little over 2 weeks and I skate every day and I already have worn down all of the suede on my flipping foot in three different place. There is also a hole forming on the bottom of the shoe. However, a little shoe goo will do the trick. I would recommend these to someone looking for a sexy looking shoe with great comfort to boot.

This shoe is fantastic! I skate everyday for about 6 hours. The shoe kept in place for about 3 weeks then the suede started to wear down. I still have them; this is the fourth week and plan to keep them for a little while more. Also the side of the shoe was the first to start ripping, so I hope they make a leather pair. So anyone who has good taste in shoes and wants to skate like crazy GET THIS SHOE!

These shoes are awesome. They are very durable and the sides do not rip easily. The first thing that tends to go is the soles. I skate everyday and do a lot of flip tricks. I switched from old school Vans Half Cabs to Lakai's a while back and have not looked back. I highly recommend these. They also look great.

So far I love the shoes; I haven't actually got around to skating them yet. The only thing I'm worried about is the toe part seems a little thin, but there is always shoe goo. The shoe looks great though and has nice padding.

This shoe looks amazing, feels great, and helped me learn new tricks...but it rips extremely easily so if you got the money to keep buying this shoe then get it; if you don't I would recommend Lucas Puig shoes.

Buy, buy, BUY!A match made in heaven! Its comfortable, has grip (I longboard), and goes well with my "blue" shirts (I bought the Blue/Black Telfords). Everywhere I went people where checking out my kicks - some even had the 'I want steal those shoes off this kid' look! LOL. But overall, very pleased with the purchase and exceptional service always with Zappos.

Amazing Shoe!!!!You can start skating in these right when you get them, no need to break them in. These stayed intact for about 2 or 3 months and didn't look worn out much. They've got great arch support and unless you have really gargantuan feet, these are nice (for the narrow-footed people). And, they look cool, so what's not to love?!

These were quite possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever set my foot in. They felt broken in right when I got them. However, after skating for about a month, the front part started to peel off (the white part). But that was easily fixed. They're cool style-wise, skating-wise, and comfort-wise. I highly recommend these for the amateur skater to pro.

Barbara p seems to have missed out on the fact that it’s standard to wear skate shoes out in 2 months, but these are great: the idea behind recycling material is great for the planet, they’re lightweight for vulc shoes, and they look fly.

About Lakai

Lakai has been built around grass roots tradition since day one. In 1993, Mike Carroll and Rick Howard thought they might have a better formula for a skateboard company--- one that made products the team would be proud of and kept an atmosphere that was supportive and motivating. While it was a risk, they felt like they owed it to skateboarding and skateboarders to take that risk. In 1999, facing a similar situation in respect to footwear, Mike and Rick introduced Lakai Limited Footwear with the same dedication and pride they have always invested into their skateboarding and the Girl/Chocolate brands. Simply stated, they are “The Shoes We Skate”. Lakai is represented by Rick Howard, Mike Carroll, Eric Koston, Marc Johnson, Guy Mariano, Cairo Foster, Scott Johnston, Brandon Biebel, Anthony Pappalardo, Jeff Lenoce, Rob Welsh, Mike Mo Capaldi, Alex Olson, Jesus Fernandez, The French Connection and The Royal Family. Lakai shoes are the epitome of style, comfort and functionality.

You will not find a better selection of skateboard shoes than Lakai. Lakai has something for everyone from their industry collaborations to their pro model styles and color ups. Lakai shoes and Lakai clothing have changed the game and are here to stay.
