this shoe is simply awesome! great for any terrain but works best on the technical stuff. the more rocks and roots the better. super sticky aggressive sole,deep heel cup, roomy toe box with great cushioning in heel and forefoot along with great underfoot protection. the raptor fits like a glove and feels light and responsive. good for running and long fast hikes. La Sportiva does not make "throw away" shoes, all of their products are bomb proof!!

I'm a neutral runner and live in the northeast where trails are technical. What can I say...these shoes rock. Nothing they can't handle. Fast, responsive, great fit, and would recommend them in a heartbeat. And as always Zappos is great.

The La Sportiva Raptor is a great trail running shoe! Just the right combination of support, cushion, and responsiveness on all types of trails. I tend to run on rather rocky trails and this shoe handles the terrain great. I needed a pair for a recent race and Zappos once again amazed me with delivery in less than 24 hours!

I just got my pair of Raptors tonight and hit the trail. I have found another shoe that works for me in every way. Plenty of protection from rocks, the heel wraps the ankle perfectly, very stable platform for uneven ground, traction is super sticky - caught myself a couple of times getting more traction than I was anticipating. I wear 11 in US sizing and I bought the size 45 and it was a perfect fit. Cannot wait to run in these shoes again tomorrow. Big thumbs up!

This is a phenomenal trail running shoe. It not only did well on rocky trails, but also in a few road races. I was also impressed with how well this shoe gripped steep rock while on climbing crag approaches. I rarely had a slip on steep gravel or dirt trails as well. These things withstood many trail conditions and even a Warrior Dash race with tons of mud. Finally, they met their untimely end with me by being stolen!

I have had these shoes for about a month now and run in them every day for about an hour. It took about 2-3 runs and they were broken in they are great on rough surfaces and are very durable. I have not had any blisters or hot spots and rate these shoes highly for people that do a lot of cross country running great grip. The service from Zappos was fast and easy. Cheers guys.

These fit like a glove, once I broke them in there was no stopping me! Through the river, up embankments, they provided excellent traction, I even get compliments on them. They are still relatively new but it looks like these shoes are going to hold together! They dry quick, too. I especially like how the toes are rounded up slightly this keeps me from stubbing my toe when walking around with no sacrifice to comfort! I love the La Sportiva!

After reading other reviews I ordered a size larger and these shoes fit like a glove. When I put these on my only thought was "wow". I have since run several 15 to 18 mile runs in these under extremely muddy conditions and they have performed very well. I would definitely recommend these. I am 5'11" and weigh 210 to 215.

This is not a negative review of the shoe, just that the one I received from Zappos appeared to have been worn. One of the toes was scuffed and the toe box was creased like the shoe had been used, at least enough to be noticeable. I ended up going with a different shoe that I ordered at the same time and returning this one.

Great trail running shoe. I'm not a big fan of running on the road, but I love running on technical trail. These shoes are supper grippy! And very stable. One of my local trails has a big boulder section and I was pulling moves with these that I would not do in others. Once again these are great trail sneaks.

I love LaSportiva for trail runs, but the Raptor compared to others is at the bottom rung. Wildcat and Wildcat 2.0 are great and 5 star in all aspects for me. The Raptor is way too stiff and runs hard.
