Great Boots once broken in! I already own La Sportiva Trangos and Lhotses.... so I picked these bad boys up to complete my set. Anyhow, this pair of boots took about 30 miles of good hiking before they were broken in to the point I was happy with them. My previous 2 pair of La Sportiva boots only took about 10-15 miles of hiking before they were broken in. These things are more robust, which probably explains the longer breaking in period. Do not assume you can take them "out of the box" and throw a old pair of insoles in them then do a long approach, you will be very sorry if you do.

Great fit out of the box - I bought a half size to small based on reviews and had to exchange them. I called Zappos at 8 pm Thursday night and received the new pair (correct size) the next day Friday. GREAT customer service. Oh yea, the boot is nice also. It fit right out of the box I put them on and went on a 5 mile hike with No blisters. I have not tried it in cold weather yet but will be going to climb Rainier in July to test them out.

Fit like a glove - I have yet to wear these boots in the outdoor environment, but that said I did try order 5 pairs of boots and out of all of those the Nepal EVO's felt the best. My heel felt locked in place with practically no heel lift. This boot does have a very stiff sole, so the minimal to none on the heel lift is amazing. The stiff sole is also great if you want to use a step in style crampon, heel bail and toe bail. I didn't purchase these at Zappos.com but at another online retailer. For sizing I would say order what you wear in your street shoe. I wear a US 12 and ordered a 46 first and had heel slippage, then got the 45.5 and they fit great. I also put a green super feet insole in, which made them even better and provided a good arch support. There is a lot of great features that all the other boots can't come close to in this category. Just remember fit is key.

Awesome Boot gets better - Up here in the Pacific Northwest, winter warmth and dryness are two key factors. The Nepal has been a winter standard here, and with the addition of gore-tex, this boot is an unbeatable choice. I recently did a climb on Mt Rainier which involved stream crossings, snow, ice and scree. These boot performed flawlessly with minimal break in. With winter approaching, I am really pleased with the performance, quality and the "dry feet" factor. My heel is small relative to the front of my foot and the additional tongue really does the trick dialing in the fit. -r

Great Boots - I love these boots. I looked all over the place and finally discovered Zappos. The effort was worth it. These boots are very comfortable with little break in time needed. Very well made and relatively light for this style of boot. I don't have the proper experience to compare them to other boots but I highly recommend them. My friend bought a pair too.
