I really wanted to keep these boots but alas, my legs are just a little too short and my "athletic" calves make the boots pinch just a little too much. I will have to send them back. Other than the calf issue, I like the style, comfort, durability and waterproofness. My calf is about 14.5 inches around (37cm).

I think styles are very personal. But if you are looking for boots that fit small calves, try this one out. My calves are 12.5", 5'7", size 7 shoes. They fit well with skinny or even bootleg jeans. Roomier than I thought, with socks on, I was comfortable with size 7. They actually keep your feet quite warm, so no need for thick socks. The leather is a bit shiny. Moderate traction soles. So give it a shot!

These Stefanie boots are by far the best boots I have ever purchased. I ordered countless boots this winter, returned countless boots and these were the very best fitting for my size 11 feet, slightly narrow foot and calf. The calf is not "super" skinny but is not huge and bulging out, but nice and slim. There is room to fit in your skinny jeans or leggings with a nice "straight" fit. Also, so comfortable. Love these.

No shoe or boot is ever likely to have adequate arch support for me. I inserted an inexpensive gel arch support in these and it still feels lacking, but made it much more comfortable. In fact, I had returned a pair of Tall Melissa Frye boots and then tried these and I'm so glad I did. These are as comfortable and beautiful as I could hope for in a tall boot. I have problem feet and these boots are so comfortable, I often forget that.

This boot is one of the best boots I have found for quality, comfort and looks. I have a slim calf and these boots do not bulge out in the calf, but fit nicely on my leg with room for skinny jeans and still looks slim and stylish. Go for them. I take a size 11 and they fit perfectly with comfort.

Comfortable right out of the box. If you have larger calves you might find them a a bit tough to zip at first. Lightweight, warm, and stylish enough not too look like a rain boot. So many rain and snow boots have a lugged sole which makes them practical but... These are expensive but my experience with this brand is that they last.

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I had them on for 10 hours the first time wearing them. My feet still felt great at the end of the day. These boots are worth every penny.

OMG! These boots are so beautiful and comfortable! I was looking for leather, something that would withstand wet weather. I saw that these boots were water resistant and thought I would give them a try. The black suede is so rich looking and rain drops just bead off. I love these boots! I wear a size 7.5 or 8 (more often an 8), ordered a 7.5 cause they were out of size 8 and they fit perfect.

Loved this boot; however, the size 10 not fit like my other La Canadienne size 10, which puzzled me. The buckle on the side and the hardware at the top add the right amount of pizazz so that the boot does not look so severe.

These boots fit really well - pretty true to size. They fit nice and snug around my ankle and leg - perfect for tucking in my skinny jeans. There is no gap around my calf which I can't stand on most boots. Wish the shaft was 1 inch taller but it's fine they way they are.

I love these. They are gorgeous, comfortable and practical. What more could you ask for. They are pricey, but I rationalized that they are taking the place of what would have been two pairs - one for looks and one for weather. So if you need a rationalization to spend this kind of cash on boots, there you go. They are slightly snug around the calf, but I have fairly slim calves and I can wear them with skinny jeans. They are not very cushy on the bottom so you may need a gel insole.

I love these boots. I must have ordered eight pairs before I found these. They are worth every penny. I am 4'11" and wear a size 6. These come right up to bottom of my knee cap. I wish they were a little shorter but they are slowly breaking in and as a result not as high. They are super comfortable right out of the box, and beautiful too. I own two other styles of La Canadien and they are wonderful, too. These are definitely waterproof. I have worn them on a wet soccer field and they kept me looking good and dry! You will not be disappointed with these boots or this brand. Zappos' service is awesome, too. I buy tons of stuff from them. Thank you, Zappos.

This is my second pair of wear everywhere boots from this brand. They seemed to have raised their prices, but they're everything you want in a fall/winter boot. (Including, slush proof.)

I love these boots! I have very long, lean legs, and these fit perfectly with skinny jeans with no gap in the boot leg. The shaft height is high enough for me as well. They're so comfortable (though from other reviews I thought they'd have a bit more arch support), are very stylish, warm without making you sweaty and waterproof. Perfect for the rain and cool weather. I'm looking forward to wearing them with dresses and skirts now that it's fall. I'm only afraid I'll wear them out too quickly since I want to wear them all the time!

Last year I bought a pair of La Canadienne boots and loved them. This year, when searching for a pair of brown riding boots, I tried to avoid La Canadienne because of the price. However, after trying on at least a dozen pairs of boots, I thought I'd go be to La Canadienne, and sure enough, these are the best so far. They fit my 13.5 inch calves perfectly. They're trim in the ankles, whereas most pairs I've tried on have been baggy. They're also the most comfortable boots I've tried on. I have short legs and think these may be a little high for me, but other than that, they're perfect. I got the brown suede, which is super soft, and the color is a very rich, dark brown. Another great boot!

I was looking for a low heeled boot that would be comfortable and stylish for every day. I also needed a boot that would fit my slim calf. This is a wonderful boot! I have another pair of La Canadienne boots and knew that this was the brand I again wanted. I wish they were not so expensive, but I am hoping that they will give me many years of wear. I love being able to try on a variety of boots from Zappos and returning those that did not work out for me. I love shopping at Zappos!

I bought these boots last Fall. I had looked long and hard for nice, quality riding boots. Finally, I found them. I was a little hesitant about the price, but decided to go for it. Well, I can't say enough about these boots. With the very harsh winter we had and all the snow, these boots performed great. Never had to wear heavy socks, my feet were always warm. The waterproofing is superb. They look great with skirts. I have received many compliments.
