Very pleased with looks and comfort of this boot. I am very fussy about comfort, and these boots feel great. Extremely well made -- looks like they will last. I have stepped in puddles and my feet remained dry. Very impressed. I am delighted that La Canadienne makes boots in various widths. The 9.5 wide fits perfectly.

This is a good basic style for everyday. But, the best part is that these are the most comfortable shoes that I own! And I own a lot of shoes, boots and sneakers. They feel very supportive on my feet and ankles. Also, they're insulted, which helps during these cold winter months. I will look for more of this brand in the future

These have been a very comfy boot. I love the construction, as it very high quality. The foot liner inside the boot keeps your feet very warm. I did purchase a half size bigger as I typically do that with boots. I wear this boot with a thin sock. If you plan to wear this with a thick sock, probably go up a full size from your normal shoe size. I would definitely buy this brand again. I think it's well worth it!

A friend of mine had these last winter. I had to wait a year for them to come back in stock. I’m glad they did because they were instantly comfortable, warm, and classy. I take my dog on long walks at night. These are perfect for chilly nights.

Love the boots, a little expensive, but they wear very well. I have two pair which were purchased several years ago. My feet still stay warm and dry. In addition to warmth and dryness, they make my feet look smaller (I wear a 9 1/2), a definite plus!

These are the best boots I've ever purchased and worth every penny! I own a pair of bulkier, Earth boots (which I love), but found them to be a little too hot if I ended up wearing them indoors for part of the day. I wanted something that would endure the harsh Wisconsin winter, but still look okay once I was inside the office. I will agree with some of the reviewers that I'm not nuts about these having more of a square toe, but any doubt I had about the "looks" part has quickly been erased by how well they've performed. I received them just before our most recent snowstorm, and they were not only super comfortable on day one, they have kept my feet warm and dry through all the recent snow. I trudged through 5" of snow yesterday and was amazed at the water resistance on the outside. And the fact that they do fit a bit tighter around the ankle really helps with warmth and preventing any moisture from getting at your feet. A great alternative to all the clunkier fashion boots out there. These seem like they will hold up for quite awhile and will be a great boot for travel, too.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI have been looking for a pair of boots for several years. I specifically wanted a nice looking pair with a low heel I have bad knees and hoped to find one that was good for cold, rainy weather in Seattle. Over 2 years, I've ordered many pair and sent back many pair. The minute I put these on, it was bliss. I have narrow feet, but over the years they have gotten a bit wider. Most narrow shoes are too narrow and most mediums are too wide. These were just perfect. I've worn them over and over. I love them. If you waver between sizes like I do, order the larger size.

This is absolutely a gorgeous boot! It's a little expensive, but worth the price. They were so comfortable I bought brown and black andwear them everywhere, with skirts and pants. I have bunions and have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable and have support but these were perfect right out of the box.

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI felt it was a bit extravagant to pay so much, but when I put the boots on, my feet felt hugged and comforted. I wore them for the first time to a casual Christmas party with brown skinny cords. My husband said I look really thin tonight and I don't have a weight problem. These boots made my legs look longer. I had a wonderful time at the party and realized that even though I was on my feet for hours, they didn't hurt in the least. I'm accustomed to sore feet, so this was a surprise. I have thin, wide feet that suffer from corns, a hammertoe and a bunion. Bottom line, these boots were worth the price. They are attractive, comfortable and well made.

What a practical and stylish winter boot! Great for weekend errands and shopping. Comfortable and great for walking. True to size and keep feet warm and dry. Were a little snug at first, but wearing them around the house with a thick pair of socks broke them in perfectly.

I love the way these boots look and feel. They are true to size, but if you have thick calves, they might be a little tight when you zip them shut.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt narrower than markedI was really excited about these boots because I had been eyeing them for a while before giving in. When they arrived I was disappointed to find that they were way too tight. I don't usually deviate from my regular size and couldn't even fit them with the thinnest socks I own. They were beautiful though, and extra cushiony, so I exchanged them for half size larger. Of course, that size was slightly loose, but I decided to keep them anyway. They are super comfortable; I can wear them all day as long as I have thick socks on.

Shoe Size: Felt a full size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt narrower than markedSuper narrow, especially around the ankle. I\'ve purchased a couple of La Canadienne ankle boots over the past several years in my size, a 6. They were always roomy enough to wear thick socks with but the 6 in these feels 1/2 to 1 size smaller. I\'d say about 1/2 size smaller in the length and a full size smaller around the ankle. I even had a hard time getting the zipper up. Definitely order up. I\'m not sure if I should see if they stretch out or exchange them for a 6 1/2, or maybe the 6 wide would have fit better. I do love the quality of La Canadienne boots as they last forever and stay waterproof. It just seems weird that they would make these so narrow around the ankle.

Nice looking for a waterproof boot. These are pretty comfortable, and seem well made. I needed something waterproof, but with looks that didn't shout about how sporty or trendy it is. There's not much else I could find, so it's good that these aren't ugly. I wear a 10, and the narrow shape of the boot with the square toe makes my feet look longer than I really like. But it's more important that the shoes are warm, sleek, and I don't have to worry about getting them wet. I absolutely had to get an inexpensive arch support insert for these; there is no raised arch support, and there is enough of a high heel that my normal but over-35 foot was stressed. It was painful to be on my feet in them for more than 20 minutes. With the arch support, they're fine.

I am very pleased about the boots. Zappos was able to get me 9W which fits me perfectly. The boots arrived on time and I have been wearing them ever since. Nice transaction.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt narrower than markedI really cannot understand what happened. I got a pair like this one last year, and like them so much that I decided to get another pair. I ordered exactly the same size, 5 1/2, but they do not fit; they are too narrow. I think it may be due to the zipper, which doesn't go all the way down like in the other pair, but just in case, I'll order a 6 next. They are great!

I love these boots. They are like walking on air. At first they were quite snug around the ankles (I have thin ankles and my feet are on the narrow side), but after a few hours they stretched out nicely. I wore them for 8 hours on the first day, walking around constantly and they gave me no problems at all. They are slim, streamlined, stylish boots. The black is really beautiful, and I would love them in brown with jeans. I love La Canadienne and Zappos!

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt narrower than markedI was searching for a warm, weatherproof, comfy boot with a bit of a heel but nothing too crazy. A friend of mine recommended these boots as she has 2 pairs and loves them. I ordered them and Zappos as usual made them appear at my doorstep in less than 24 hours! I ordered a half-size up after reading some of the other reviews. I have a slightly wide foot but have never needed to buy wide shoes. I found that going up half a size in these boots was sufficient although they are snug across the forefoot. I wear them with thin socks. The boots are almost everything that I was looking for, they fit the bill in terms of comfort, heel height, warmth, general appearance and everyday wearability. The only thing I\'m not 100% psyched about is the sqaured-off toe box as it\'s not the most fashionable look at the moment. Overall though all the good points outweigh this one not-so-perfect point and I\'m keeping them and enjoying them. I would recommend these boots.
