Love these shoes! They are extremely comfortable even thought they are high. I ordered them in purple and they are beautiful. The shoes are wide so try ordering a smaller size. I am glad I read that in another review because the smaller size was perfect. I do not recommend these if you have a narrow foot. I would love to order them in orange and sand but they are expensive. Well worth the price though if you are looking for great, comfortable shoes that you can dress up or down.

Too tight around the calf - These boots are too cute. But the calf was too tight. They would be perfect if the calf area was bigger. My calves are not very large - so be warned.

Beautiful sandals! Although this is more than I usually spend for a sandal, I wanted a quality leather pair that could be worn with many different outfits, and these are just perfect. Excellent quality construction, and the strap across the instep really helps to keep them in place on the foot - they do not "flip-flop" when wearing them. As for sizing, I ordered a 39 (described as size 8-8.5), and they fit perfectly. I normally wear size 9 for closed shoes, and 8.5 for sandals.

These were adorable and comfy. They did run slightly short so I would have probably gone up 1/2 size. I ended up returning and going with a different gladiator from Betseyville but this is a lovely lovely shoe.

La Canadienne Aida - a gorgeous, comfortable shoe. I wore these as soon as I got them and was completely surprised by just how comfortable this shoe was, considering its height. My only complaint is that the buckle on the left shoe (the pin which goes through the strap hole) was either broken or defective - I hope this can be replaced. A bonus - Zappos upgraded my shipping for free! As usual, Zappos service is awesome!

Awesome! I've been eyeing this boot for some time. I wanted a boot that would be suitable for walking through snow/rain/slush, but also professional for work, or cute to go out at night with. This boot is all of the above. I've gone through 5 boots, and this is the only one that has felt soft and warm, and extremely comfortable. Plus, it looks so cute and slimming! I don't often wear heals, but these are so comfy, perfect height. Love them!

Boots are so GREAT, I had to buy a pair for my sister. These boot are fantastic, so great, my sister saw my new pair, tried them on and now I have to buy her a pair. This boot is warm, but not too hot, and the weather proof material is great for all seasons. The color is so versatile that the boot can be worn with Black or Brown. Exquisite, high quality boot and fit me so well. I have thin ankles and very muscular calves and the entire boot shaft fit perfect along my both my ankle and calf. I am also able to wear my skinny jeans with these boots, no problem. Great boots, you can't go wrong! Enjoy.

So sad... Measure twice, buy once. The calf circumference of these boots is exactly as described but poor dumb me didn't take my own measurements into account before ordering. These look sleek even in widths and my 6-1/2 EE feet fit beautifully. I could zip them up but the fit in the calf was too constricting to justify the expense. Reluctantly returned.

These are tailor cut on the calf but not as comfortable in the toe area. The padding on the sole is really rather cheap, unfortunately, so if you have orthopedic concerns, you will probably need to put in an insole of some kind. And then the question of size becomes very important. Other than that, great boot, excellent leather. Unfortunately, they do not come in half sizes above 10. I tried 10 and 11 and will send the 11 back to exchange for the 10-the 11 is so wide around the ankle that my foot slips up (and sort of out of the boot halfway) when I walk. I had to choose between getting very tired of wearing the boot because of the additional effort required, and the fact that the toes in the size 10 are not squeezed, but that there is virtually no space between them to allow for more than millimeters of movement. I count on using only the lightest and thinnest of all socks in them so as to not overcrowd that tiny space. for La Canadienne, I expect in the future that they will adjust the shape of the toe area to allow more room, a more rounded front/toe area certainly is not less stylish but definitely a lot more toe-friendly, or introduce half sizes in 10.5 and above. Perhaps also improve on the quality of the insoles in general.

Awesome shoes! These shoes are fantastic - super cute AND super comfortable. These shoes felt great the first time I wore them - no breaking in necessary. The straps are nice - no blisters. The padded footbed is fantastic - it makes these shoes feel like you're walking on air. The soles have tread, making the shoes easy to walk in without having to worry about slipping. I can wear these all day at work and they feel great. I highly recommend them!

These boots are beautiful! They are even more attractive than they are in the photo. The suede is soft - hard to believe they are also waterproof. Unfortunately my large calves (15") are too big for this boot. I could barely zip it up, but did briefly consider wearing them anyway, due to the lovely style. Sadly, I had to return them. It is too bad, the circumference is not larger on the EE width.

I ordered these in white and they were exactly what I was looking for. They fit great and the leather was beautiful, BUT… and this is a very BIG BUT - the sole was so slick that they were an accident just waiting to happen, so with great regret, I returned them. If they are ever re-designed with a more practical and safe sole, I will be delighted to buy them!

Buy these immediately!! This is an absolutely adorable boot! The picture does not do it justice, they fit perfect (I have average size calves and feet) and make my legs, ankles and feet look slender. They are very comfortable, too! Take it from a boot fan; these are the perfect item to add to your collection!

These are really cute boots, but the fit is totally off. They seem to run a little small or at least narrow---my 10Ms just barely fit with stockings, but would never fit with thin socks. The calf is not very wide, but might be adjustable with the laces. The design is nice---I wish they had these in a 10.5 so I could try that.

Wonderful boots! Comfy, warm and high. They fit nicely around my calves. The heel is perfect: not to high, not too low. I get comments on them all time. I even wear them on chilly or rainy days in the Spring. Next year I want a pair in chocolate in this style or something similar.

I bought a pair in black patent leather. They feel great! True to size, comfortable, totally waterproof, and really warm. Almost too warm. The details and style are high quality and I was tempted to buy a second pair in red. However, the price stopped me from doing so. I will add that I have been looking at these boots for 3 consecutive years looking at them, but finally decided to pamper myself... it was like a dream came true.

Best boots ever! These are the best boots I ever bought! They are extremely comfortable, but also very stylish and fun. Plus waterproof, and made by a Canadian company with reportedly good working conditions. I have had mine almost 2 years now. Finally they have started getting a little worn, and I put in an insert because the inside was worn down. But I still feel I've got more than my money's worth, and will probably buy another pair when these finally wear out. They have been a lifesaver!

Another pair of fantastic La Canadiennes - Love the red color and the superb quality. Just like the other reviewers have said, these are great boots that will keep your feet comfortable, dry, and warm no matter the weather. I purchased the boots half a size larger than my usual size (just like I did when I purchased my other La Canadiennes) and they were perfect.

These shoes didn't work for me. They run really wide (and I have wide feet), and the white patent would crinkle unattractively in places where the fit was too loose. There was not enough arch support. Otherwise they were comfortable and nicely designed.
