These are the nicest looking, most comfortable boots I have ever purchased . . . very well-made and of high quality. I have purchased two pairs; I love them so much.

Love these! I have a large foot and most boots are too wide in the calf. These fit snugly and are very comfortable for walking.

I do not have big calves. I would say medium. I could not zip these boots up. And as far as I got them zipped up it looked like they would be too far below my knees. I like them right below the knees.

I was so hopeful...the heel style and height is exactly what I've wanted for several years. I'm 75 and won't do 3"+ heels. Manufacturers seem to forget that there are plenty of older women who want and will pay for stylish but more age appropriate footwear. The leather feels wonderfully soft, the construction quality is beyond reproach. But. My calves aren't large and the boots are so tight they felt as if they were cutting circulation. Also, they are closer to mid-calf than knee-high. Please, please, please make this style larger in diameter and about 2" taller. It was nice to find enough room in the toebox, as I have a bunion.

Nice quality as usual with La Canadienne but too tight around my calf. I have an other pair of Caleb in brown suede which feet very well.

I know it's June and I don't need these now. BUT, I had a hard time finding waterproof boots with good traction this winter (which was awful in NYC). I have sandals from La Canadienne and checked to see if they are still being made -- no. The boots called my name and these were greatly reduced so I ordered them thinking I could send them back if they didn't work. They are keepers -- I got the nubuck which is soft and comfy. I ordered my usual size 8 and might be fine with a 7.5 but I want to wear socks and tuck in skinny jeans. I have an old pair of La Canadienne boots which finally need to be replaced after 8 years! I don't know if they'll last as long as my others but knowing the quality of this company I'm sure they'll be great.

I bought this boot about two years ago to add to my other La Canadienne styles & have since bought others..My boot size in general is 7M unless they run big I need 6.5. The 7M was fine - then. This past winter I decided to purchase in brown & grey as well so I can always wear them with anything, Yes, they are that comfortable! They look great on & the fit was perfect, in the sense that it was slim at the ankles, like there was a shape to it. Some ankle boots go straight up but this one has a "figure" like a woman. Anyway, I took the same size 7 M & they were tiny! Not only very tight at the toes and foot width-wise, but the length seemed too short as well! What happened? Did La Canadienne change their measurements or what?! I didn't think about ordering it in a wide, or maybe it wasn't available I don't remember, but I went to a size 7.5M & it fit fine. Maybe a tiny drop longer than needed but not enough that I should say this doesn't work & that gave me enough in the width as well. Therefore, I would recommend definitely to size up a 1/2 size at least & if you need room for a thick sock go for a wide. Don't worry what the label says! Each shoe runs differently & I have found myself needing a shoe in a wide sometimes & my foot is not. So no big deal. It was just curious since my size didn't change in other La Canadienne styles only the Felicia. Suede as always here is super soft & smooth, waterproof yes! And as comfortable as you'd ever want a boot to be. Although it's a small heel it is not an old lady style. Very attractive. Love all the colors. Black is deep & rich; brown as well, like chocolatey, & the grey is beautiful, not ultra dark, but sort of a medium grey. I also saw the taupe color, which I didn't keep it was almost a brown but didn't have the "life," & the "smoke" color was between brown & dark grey; I didn't find these two colors as vibrant as the brown nor as nice as the grey. It's a warm boot & keeps your foot cozy warm but there is no fur lining inside.

Kudos to La Canadienne for this one! These are very well designed booties, they are a nice stylish alternative to rubber rain boots on cool, wet days in the warmer months. A nice surprise was that they are totally leather lined, not that synthetic felt lining found in most La Canadienne boots that I have tried. They are roomy too, no pressure points, especially on the outer toes with prolonged wear, which is a problem that I have with almost all La Canadienne boots. The toes were not cramped at all in these, though I can see that a person with really really wide feet might have some problems around the middle arch area. But I have moderately wide feet with a bunion. The bunion was not bothered at all. Good design for warmer months with the wider opening which allows air in. This one you could wear on bear feet probably, but I found there to be a slightly overly prominent seam in the left one right on the inside of the heal, a sensitive area. I felt like it would rub there, especially since the boots are loose enough that they slide up and down a bit. This is not problematic in general, but because of the seam I wore them with thin cotton ankle socks, and they felt great all day. And the styling of these boots is awesome, for all the reasons described above. They are not dowdy old lady boots at all. These are perfect to wear to work on a cooler wet summer casual friday. Which is what I did, and I am sure that these will get plenty more wear. These work great with both jeans and leggings, and probably casual dresses, too.

I bought these recently (nearly summer) so I have not had a chance to wear them yet. However, La Canadienne is the only brand of boots that I buy primarily because they both cater to a skinny calf and make incredibly comfortable boots. I highly recommend La Canadienne.

I desperately needed a flat shoe to wear with slim ankle pants. I'm in fashion retail so my 8 hour feet are very visible. These boy meets girl babies did not disappoint! I purchased the only color available in my 8 and half size and truly this deep burgundy is more interesting than black. My customers continually ask about the shoes I wear and I'm so happy to pass along this label and of course Zappos incredible service!

For a year I have been looking for the perfect bootie to wear with skirts and jeans. These are IT. They have a sleek, fitted look without being tight anywhere. They're warm, comfy, and infinitely walkable. I'm not the kind of girl who goes for a miles-long stroll in heals but I have done so in these! They were expensive, but with the combination of near sneaker-like comfort and high style I know I'll get my money's worth. This is my second pair of suede boots by this brand and they hold up beautifully to regular wear, even in the rain.

Great boot. I am a fan of La Canadienne as their boots are both stylish and functional - super comfortable and waterproof even in heavy snow. I ordered my usual size 6 and they fit perfectly. Despite the heel height, they are very comfortable with padding on the inside and a slight furry material on the front portion of the foot area making them warm as well.

Great boots if you find yourself walking through a "wintry mix" in a long winter. They are sturdy and comfortable and the red glossy leather adds a little fun to my otherwise monochrome winter wardrobe. Great with jeans or a dress and ready for serious weather.

Wear these daily with jeans, slacks, midi skirts or leggings. Immensely comfortable, waterproof, stylish and practical for rainy Portland weather. I buy a new pair every 2 years as the inside does wear out, although the outside does not. Great investment.

Although I liked the look of the boots overall, if I had known that most of the back of the boots were not leather, but elastic material, I would not have ordered them. They fit well, but look less expensive than they are because of those panels.

Same fit as the Heather. Sadly, too narrow. Unusually narrow even for this brand. I have 6 or 7 other pairs from La Canadienne which I love (because they are narrow). I am totally hooked on this brand, so I'll keep looking, but these have to go back. Bummer.

I am a huge La Canadienne fan. Have 6 or 7 pairs now. I like that they run more narrow than most well-made shoes. That said, these are really narrow. Sorry, because they're gorgeous. Sending these back but I'll stick with the brand for sure.

These are the most comfortable heels that I own. I have been wearing them for more than three years. They are so stylish and comfortable that I don't want to have to switch to other shoes. I can walk in them for hours. I'm really glad that I bought them.

I bought two pairs of these to wear with my slacks when I walked the few blocks to my office each day, less than 1/2 mile. The lining in both of them wore out in less than 6 months. I am not happy with this purchase at all!
