La Canadienne

These boots absolutely, 100% rock. I felt they ran true to size, but I'm only wearing relatively thin socks underneath, not winter socks. I get zillions of compliments on them, and they were super comfy right out of the box. I think they look a little like a toned-down version of Wonder Woman's boots. (Did I mention how much I love them?) Worth every penny, and I don't say that lightly.

These boots are so very comfortable. You can wear them the entire day and your feet do not hurt. They are great.

I wear them once so far. Very comfy. However, fabric makes squeaky noise. One boot rubs on another - I had to be careful how I move my legs, so this noise is not as loud. This part is annoying. I will wear them with pants. Hopefully it will reduce the noise. But in this case, it diminishes the purpose of buying it. I would be as happy with ankle high boots.

I love La Canadienne, but I did not love these boots. They pull on (no zipper), which is fine. The suede is stretchy and they are easy to get into. They are just very loose. The size 10M (which fits perfectly in other La Ca styles) seems huge - it easily feels like an 11W. The calf of the boot is loose and sloppy (not like in the picture), making it hard to put under jeans and (because it is short - coming only to mid-calf) silly looking over jeans. La Ca usually makes beautiful boots. These are a "miss".

Perfect tall boot for those with slim legs. The shaft is not too wide or too narrow, just the perfect shape and size. The heels are not too high making it super comfortable and at the same time elegant. The suede is soft and supple. One can easily see the quality of the suede. I find it runs true to size. This is true for all of the La Canadienne shoes/boots I have bought. And of course, Zappos is the best!

I recently ordered the Galaxy boots as a second alternative to the boots I really wanted which was the Kara. At that time, the latter was out of stock in my size. But two days after receiving this, the Kara became available so I decided to order the latter too and compare. Both are lovely. The toe box is neither boxy nor pointy and offers ample space for the toes. The shaft is narrow compared to most tall boots out there but I have really thin legs so there is still a good one inch space at the top opening. It is true to size which I find consistent with La Canadienne. The wedge heels offer just the right amount of height and the traction is great. But compared to the Kara, this makes my feet look disproportionately large probably because of the wedge. So I decided to return this and go with the Kara which looks more elegant. For casual everyday look this will probably work, especially paired with jeans. For skirts and dresses, I'm not too sure.

Love the color of these boots - they are very dark espresso brown. Darker than they appeared on my monitor. Love the slim fit in the calves. Look great with both skirts and pants - a very versatile boot. Did notice that the footbed seems a bit less padded than other La Canadienne boots I own - so I need to wear a sock with some padding on bottom.

These boots are absolutely beautiful and very well constructed. Unfortunately the footbed and heel put my foot in a position of taking all the weight on the ball of my foot which is not comfortable. Be advised, this boot is made for a narrow foot in my opinion. Also, I didn't find them to run large as other reviews stated.

Great pair of boots, looks so much better in person than in the pictures. Comfortable right out of the box, just got 'em, and they feel like I have had them for years. Beautiful. This is my 4th pair of La Canadiennes and in my opinion they are the best boots around for the comfort, quality, waterproof and beauty.

I love these boots more than any others I have ever owned. The wedge provides height and stability; they can be worn in all weathers as they are waterproof; so comfortable that I wear them on long flights or all day at work and hardly know I am wearing them. Elegant but substantial, can be dressed up or down. I bought these boots a month ago and I have worn them almost every day. Winter is more bearable as a result of these fabulous boots!

I am a big fan of La Canadienne waterproof shoes and boots. Not only are they functional, they are stylish. I love these boots. They are so incredibly comfortable.

Beautiful elegant boots. I ordered a half size up just how it was recommended by Zappos. Can't say they run slightly small. Now I have an extra room to wear socks. That is fine. But arch support could be better for a price we pay.

This is a beautiful boot from a great company. Sadly, I must return this pair as they are far too tight around my calf. It is very challenging to zip them and it feels like my circulation is being cut off when I finally do! I've not had this problem with any other boot from La Canadienne.

I am a fan of La Canadienne, well made and reasonably priced for the quality. These live up to that - they fit, and walk comfortably. I wasn't paying attention when I ordered - so was surprised that there was no zipper, but it hasn't been a problem. They fit nicely over my jeans.

Got these in the cherry red. I discovered La Canadienne at Lord & Taylor just by chance and liked them so much that I searched for a pair of red boots online. I have a difficult time with shoes and even more so with boots. I can't wear pull on boots. I wasn't sure if I would keep these but now I have and I wore them all day in Manhattan and suffered no ill affects which is miraculous! If I can't buy American, the next best is Canadian I guess. Instead of taking off the boots when I come home, I have actually kept them on all evening; they are that comfortable.

I purchased these boots for a weekend getaway in Portland. They're the only pair of shoes I took for the rainy weather. I wore them with a dress to the symphony and tucked them into jeans to hike around town. I bought a half size larger because the ankles were too tight in my normal shoe size and it made the boots easier to get in and out of at the airport. These boots are classic -- not trendy nor are they stodgy. They worked beautifully in the rain. Even though I'm not a fan of wedges, I love these boots.

The absolute best boot ever. Wore it in freezing Canada and on a 50degree day in Washington DC. Stylish and warm. Can wear with a business suit or jeans.

Great boot! Comfortable, stylish a great find. All La Canadienne boots are fantastic. I've bought several pair.

These are super comfortable and look great. The one thing I didn't appreciate is that they are "fur" lined so rather warm - great for cold days but will not work as well for spring and fall.
