Kelty Reviews
Excellent for my kindergartner. It has mesh outer pockets for a water bottle which the llbean backpacks for his age do not.
This is the perfect everyday backpack. It's big enough to hold the basics (books, personal items, packable rain jacket, etc.). It's not big enough for a larger laptop, but the style would probably look odd if it was that large. Although mine is still very new, the zipper and hardware on the back seem ultra durable. With the traveling that I've done so far with it, it was extremely comfortable even when it was totally packed and heavy. The straps are great and the weight distributes really well. My only wish was that key strap was either in the outside pocket or was a little closer to the opening of the main compartment. Given the quality of the other materials, it would've been nice if the clip for keys was metal instead of plastic. Overall, very highly recommended! I look forward to buying another Kelty bag in the future.
I bought this bag for my boyfriend, he hasn't used it yet but we love it! The Kelty adjustable back is great on the other Kelty packs we have and this one has front zipper access with netting for shoes, etc. Great compartments and storage, easy to use, we love love this pack!

I bought this to carry my yoga gear. I have a large, heavy mat and it's ideal. Although it is really too big because it is so light it works well. The fabric and workmanship is excellent. I'm sure I'll use it for traveling, too.
I'm already in love with this bag. It's the perfect size: not to big for crowded buses and concerts, but not so small you look like you stole your little brother's backpack. It's obviously a bit thin, and I wouldn't necessarily trust it to keep contents dry in a downpour, but this little guy fits my 15" laptop (seriously) and has tons of built in compartments for storing all your goodies. I love it.
Very cute, the zipper doesn't worth as smooth as I like it to, but otherwise I love the cute little size but at the same time room to fit so many things. I love it.
I ordered a Kelty backpack after my Jansport got sopping wet in a little rain. I thought - based on the dimensions for each - they would be similar sized, but it's about 2/3 smaller. It has, however, proven itself to be more resilient in rain thus far, and is very comfortable and significantly better looking. In fact, I think I am going to order a hiking pack.
Very bright, lightweight, perfect for backpacking, very nice hanging in the tent, and a great cooking light.
Perfect little backpack. I use it for grad school. I'm able to carry around everything I need for the day...laptop, books, snack. It is super cute and I get compliments all the time.
This is such a great, sturdy pack- I'm using it for school, currently, and it's a perfect size for my frame! (A lanky 5'6"). Not enormous enough to mark me as an obvious student, it's perfect for biking, bus/train/plane aisles, as it's not huge, and it's so light and well-made, I can tell this is a bag I'm going to be using for a long time. (Zappos customer service continues to be excellent, by the way!)
Saw a cute guy on the train with this pack on and instantly texted "Kelty Pack" to myself. Bought one the next day and have been obsessed since. I love that it's top loading, love all the inner pockets and dividers, not to mention the design and quality of materials is superb. Padded straps, easily adjustable. Love.
Like this bag (style/size) as I live in NYC and need to carry my gym stuff to/from work. It's large enough to fit shorts, shirt, sneakers but small enough to toss over my back without the added bulk of many other bags. Made extremely well. The videos are very helpful in demonstrating how large it looks on your frame. This works perfectly for me!
Great bag, good for collapsing and having inside of a bag when you need an extra, like when you buy some food in the airport.
This is a fantastic back pack/cooler. We brought it with us on a family vacation to a national park and used it for a carry-on bag, day pack and cooler for lake side picnics. It was great. Two things to know, however: (1) only the bottom compartment is water proof, unfortunately the top, larger one is not; and; (2) it is not comfortable enough as a backpack to go on day-long hikes, though is fine for short hikes.
Perfect backpack for my son who is starting kindergarten. It's big enough to hold his folders, but not too big that it swallows him.
It is surprisingly light. The extra compartments in the pack came in handy. I love the adjustable straps. The inside isn't as roomy as I thought it would be. The back support limits space inside the bag. But everything I brought with me fit. So I guess it was just that expected something else but the bag met all my needs.
I love the classic styling of Kelty in general and this duffel is a nice addition. It's really well made, with leather details and cordura fabric -- which is strong and light. The one drawback is that it's ridiculously small for a duffel bag. I thought long and hard about the size I'd need before I purchased it, and you should be aware of what you're getting. I can cram gym shoes, flip flops, protective eyewear, a racquetball, deodorant, lotion, gym clothes, sweatbands and earbuds into this bag, but it's a seriously tight squeeze. I didn't want a huge duffel bag for my gym equipment, because I commute daily and something huge would just get left at home, so the size works for me. The handles are long and sturdy, and the crossbody strap is made of sturdy webbing, but there's no shoulder pad attached. Overall, I recommend this bag, because it looks good and does what I need it to do, but it's definitely smaller than you'd expect for the price.
This backpack is a reasonably good deal for the price. I wish the main pocket mouth were a little wider and that the color were a little brighter (the orange is a little more complex and muddy in person than it is in the photo). But it was comfortable to carry, fit lots of stuff given its petite size, is pretty light, has a good flat slender pocket for my iPad (it's really for a hydration system, but a girl has to have priorities), and was easy to stuff jackets, etc. under the outer loops/mesh pockets and the like for quick access.
